    Best price for performance phone!

I've owned my Huawei Nexus 6p for almost 4 years and decided it was finally time to upgrade. I was interested in the Pixel line because it was the successor to the Nexus. However, the Pixel 4 XL not having a rear fingerprint scanner was a deal breaker for me! So I bought the Pixel 3a XL and was wowed! Even with a mid range CPU and 4gb RAM, it's very snappy fast. The plastic build still feels very high quality, and the camera is the best on the market. It's amazing to have this kind of phone for the price. Plus, the purple-ish color is very aesthetically appealing. In conclusion, the Pixel 3a XL is hands down the best phone for budget minded consumers. It has everything I want in a phone without paying for the useless features like wireless charging and waterproof.

Google's Pixel phones are overall very good. The Pixel 3a XL is a good value for the price. Battery life is good enough to last me a full day without charging throughout the day, even 2 years after owning/using this phone. The performance has been good for the first 1.5 years, but I've noticed a slowdown in its performance and battery around 1.5 years after starting to use it. Above all, the camera is excellent. I plan to get another Pixel phone once this one has reached the end of its life cycle (2.5-3 years)

WOW this phone is awesome. This is so like the EVO my favorite but much faster an very updated. After HTC and Samsung I was ready to keep the awful Samsung 7s until it died. More problems with that phone. From the moment I used my Google Pixel XL it was love at first site. It is fast, reliable, big screen, great keypad, only one little issue speaker on phone is almost non-existent have to use ext speaker or headphones. But the rest makes that a very minute issue. The tech who set it up did a fabulous job! If you need a new phone and love Android you will love this phone. It's quick and reliable. I love this unlocked phone with 64 gigs! I won't get another Samsung it was always lagging and cutting out. This is truly the best phone! Highly recommended!

Still getting to know some of the features, but loving it so far. Beautiful display and camera is good quality. Night sight is fantastic! Battery lasts a long time. My favorite feature is A1 Call Screening feature that utilizes Google Assistant to prevent you from answering calls from telemarketers. This allows Google Assistant to answer calls for you and you can see a live transcription of what the caller is saying. Then you can find out whether the person on that end of the call is a telemarketer or someone you want to hear from. Cons, doesn't have a premium design or waterproof (I use case by Spigen) and no wireless charging. These aren't big things for me and you get a great budget phone.

The Pixel 3a is hands down the best phone for the money out there. Originally, I wanted the cheaper 3a, but after checking them out in store, the size and feel of the 3a XL was much better to me. The 3a seemed too narrow. The battery life is amazing, it's still buttery smooth for every day activities. Can't speak as a gamer. The camera is why you really want to buy this phone. You will use portrait mode and night sight very often.

I am a dedicated Samsung Note user. I've had almost every single one, including the Note tablets. But recently I started to long for a phone that was free from the requirements my workplace enforces for me to have access to work email. I wasn't super motivated to act on that as it required buying another phone and I didn't want a cheap throwaway phone. So when the new Pixel 3a series was announced, I jumped on it as it would allow me to play around with new Android beta releases and also have a personal phone I could use when I wanted to get away from work. Despite this phone being inexpensive (relative to the Note), it doesn't operate like a cheap phone. It feels perfectly speedy enough and I appreciate the Pixel specific features like Night Sight, call screening, and the cleaner OS. Really, the camera alone had me interested. Night Sight really is quite good. I recommend this phone to anyone who wants a good phone that will be supported for 3 years with security and OS updates and values having a good camera. Yes, it's made of plastic but put a case on it and you won't even notice. Plus, it's a little more droppable since it's not solid glass back and front. Love this phone and I'm glad I bought it.

I purchased this phone after being a user of both Motorola G and iPhone 6se and I have to say, I am enjoying the 3a XL a lot better. The cellular aspect of the phone is average. Sometimes reception is not as good as it could be. But it more than makes up for this with its battery life and quick charging. The phone is very light-weight and made of a plastic base, although it seems very sturdy. But the thing that sold me on it is the camera. I am a die-hard Nikon photographer but I wanted something that I could carry around easily when a bulky camera just won't do. I have had the 3aXL for 2 weeks now and have taken some of the best photos, equalling and even surpassing some of the photos taken with my Nikon.

Excellent upgrade from my old Nexus 6P

Dropped my Nexus 6P on the concrete driveway and cracked the screen, so it was time for an upgrade. The Pixel 3A XL isn't a major upgrade, but it does come with Android Pie, while the Nexus 6P stopped receiving updates after Oreo (and I've just started the process of updating to Android 10). The screen on the 3A XL has a lower resolution than the 6P but is brighter; on the whole I prefer the new screen. Performance is fine - it's not a cutting-edge SOC, but it's better than the Nexus 6P, and between the new battery and the lower-power SOC I can usually go two full days before recharging. The camera in the 3A XL is overwhelmingly better than the 6P - and I was quite happy with that one.

I had a Pixel 3 XL that went for a swim. I loved the phone so much, but was dismayed to find that it was no longer produced. Enter the Pixel 3a XL. The EXACT same processor along with same screen (but from better manufacturing die for better quality) at half the price of the original Pixel 3 XL. The only drawback I can see is the lack of water resistance (price paid for headphone jack) that the Pixel 4 line has. My Pixel 3 XL didn't feel slow & neither does this phone. My main disappointment is lack of waterproofing & some lack of support from Google given that it's not their flagship phone. They really should take a page from Apple's book & give their lower line some more attention. Bottom line: If you want a great phone that has the latest Android OS at a low price point, get this phone. Just know that it comes at a price.

This is truly a great phone. The battery life is excellent! I was using a Galaxy S9+ before this phone. I haven't noticed any slowdown (due to the lesser Snapdragon processor). The battery will easily last me through a day with some to spare, which is not something I can say about any Galaxy I have ever owned. Honestly, I thought I would miss wireless charging but, with the battery lasting through the day, I don't need it. I love that the screen is flat so I can protect it with a tempered glass screen protector. The fingerprint sensor has much better accuracy than my Galaxy. The only 2 negatives I can give the phone is: 1. The screen brightness is not high enough in direct sunlight. and 2. I wish the camera processing was faster. (Let me further explain. The camera shutter is super quick. You can snap pictures quickly and they look great. The problem arises if you wish to preview the picture before taking another. It takes 2-3 seconds to process and work the "Google Camera" magic.) Overall these 2 gripes are something I can live with and I love this phone. No more $1000 phones for me.

The the Google Pixel 3a XL did not meet or exceed my expectations. The screen size of the phone is slightly too big to fit comfortably into my pocket. The resolution and screen quality is comparative to most of the smartphones on the market today. Only having 64 GB of storage without the ability to add additional storage is very limiting and restrictive. The camera is impressive; however, I expected more given the price of the phone. The phone feels durable in my hand and has sustained a fair amount of wear and tear without issue. It operates efficiently without hiccups thus far. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase; however, I am far from impressed. In the past I have had LG phones released several years earlier and half of the price operate just as effectively.

When my iPhone 6 battery began to swell I decided it was time for a new phone especially considering Apple was going to drop support for it this fall. While I have like my iPhone I'm not one of those diehards loyalists, so I started looking at phones that were the right combination of performance, and features at a reasonable price and the Pixel 3a XL fit that bill. The processor is pretty quick I've noticed no lags in opening apps. The battery lasts all day which is great. The camera takes great photos and the screen is beautiful. Call quality is great. Overall I'm really pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this phone

I "upgraded" from a Pixel 2 XL because of a cracked screen, so I purchased this as a back up phone while I get a replacement screen, and I am really impressed the level of quality achieved at this price point. (Of course I waited until it was $100 off). However, even with its regular price, it is the best photo camera quality one can achieve. No glass back so no worries when trying to take care of it. You can get this on sale 100 dlls OFF, or you can wait for the Pixel 4a. It is not a regrettable purchase at all. I would also nickname this phone as "The Moto X Pure Edition that never was".

I got the XL version-3 day battery life. GREAT camera. NO FACEBOOK rooted and stealing my private info to sell- up yours Zuck! Fast updates from Google with NO delay and NO ISP software installed. Wish it had an SD memory expansion slot, but I can download to a thumb drive with a USB-C adapter cable. I use a Speck cases and installed a glass screen protector. No damage with a couple`of drops so far. Plastic Case instead of glass-who cares? Its inside a protective case anyway! I have had it for 9 months now and DO NOT regret this purchase. Very reasonable price.

This phone gives you 90% of the benefits of owning a regular Pixel phone at a significant discount. Top notch pics, plus most of the the Pixel features that you would want. Plus, you get a pure Android experience with the fastest updates monthly and a promised "feature drop" every quarter. I switched over from the Essential phone, which is a pretty good phone in it's own right, and I haven't regretted it at all. The added features such as Picture background blurring (even on old pics) and call screening, are definitely a significant upgrade to what I had.

I love this phone! I used to be the guy that had to have the latest phone and all of that stopped after the Galaxy S5, when phones didn't improve much and they just took away features we all loved and jacked up the price. This phone breaks that cycle. It has a beautiful screen, unmatched camera, extensive battery life, instant fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack! It comes with Android Pie (9.0) and three years of updates as well. And did I mention the complete absence of bloatware that is now included on other brands of phones these days? This keeps the OS fast and responsive.

My previous phones have been Samsung Galaxies S3 and S5, and an LG G6. I was worried that the chip in the Pixel 3a XL might be inferior. The phone is great !! The camera is really good. If you are one who makes calls, checks emails, weather, watches videos, listens to music, etc... Then my suggestion is to save a few hundred dollars and buy this phone. It works great, it has the latest Android and you will be happy. If you are a gamer or sophisticated user, then you may need to do more research, but for most people, this is all the phone that you need.
