Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Pixel 3a XL's camera quality, describing it as outstanding and still good even in 2024. They also appreciate its affordable price, long battery life, and user-friendly interface. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the limited storage capacity, lack of wireless charging, and choppy speaker audio at high volumes.

I have had an iPhone since the 5 and I just switched to the pixel 3a XL and I've been loving it. The battery lasts all day easily, and I can even not charge it that night and it will last most of the next day. I'm sure the battery with wither with time but for now it is just wonderful. The camera is insane for a 500$ phone, sadly if you use Snapchat the software on the app destroys your camera quality for some reason. The OS is super easy to get used to which is crazy coming from only using apple os my whole life. Overall just a great purchase, great job Google!

This phone is amazing! I've always been an iPhone user, but I decided to try out the pixel this time and I'm so glad I did! This phone has the best battery life, it almost never crashes/lags, and it is literally indestructible. I recommend this phone a million times over. This is all coming from someone who spends a considerably large amount of time (~12+) hours on this phone. I also would like to say that the camera, microphone, and speakers on this phone are also amazing. Do yourself a favor and buy this phone.

This is a decent phone for the price, if you're not concerned with app storage and you're a Google home person. I went from a Samsung Note8 to this phone which is several steps backwards. Pros: Great camera, superb integration with Google home environment and all Google commands. Cons: not enough internal storage for Apps, no ability to insert an sdcard to get extra storage. While Google offers cloud storage for pic and video gallery, if you're used to a lot of apps on your phone, you won't be able to do that on this phone (this is why I only gave 4 stars). Has been a very reliable and strong working device - still runs near perfectly since purchase.

Got it as a temporary replacement for my regular Pixel 3 that died during the pandemic and absolutely fell in love. Battery life on this is amazing - lasts solidly over a day which I can't say about other Pixel models. It's the right size screen wise even with the big bezels. Camera is excellent as on other Pixel models. If I have any complaints it's that the camera is a little slow to launch and the screen could be brighter esp outside but this is an absolutely excellent value.

I bought this phone for my mother while it was on sale. I purchased two items separately to go along with the phone - a matching Spigen case and a tempered glass screen protector. So far, there have been no issues with the phone and everything is going great. Bought the XL for the extra battery life. Primarily kept in a purse, not sure how it would handle in a pants pocket after adding the protective case. Camera, battery, screen, reliability overall - all great and as described.

Google Pixel 3a XL is about half of the price of Pixel 3, but has almost all the feature except very minor camera difference and case (plastic vs. aluminum). Camera is very good, equipped with portrait mode and night sight. I believe this phone is a great budget phone for everyone. Since it is built by Google, you are expected to get timely Android update, which is also a great feature.

Went from an iPhone to the Pixel, could not have been happier! Great price point, wonderful camera and UI, love that everything is streamlined with Google. Used it a lot for social apps and Pokemon Go, so far the phone has never crashed, nor has the processing speed slowed down. All in all the perfect first android phone for long-time Apple users in my opinion, very satisfied with the Pixel and will likely stick to Pixel phones in the future.

This phone is affordable and very easy to use! Much better to get this phone rather than making installment payments with a provider. Contract was up with AT&T and have been a Samsung user for a long time. Didn’t want to do another contract so I found this phone and it’s just wonderful! I’m amazed how it’s affordable and I have adjusted to this phone very well! HIGHLY recommended!!

Bought the Pixel 3a XL when it was first released about a month ago. With the gift card deal at that time, the price was reasonable. So far it has worked very well. The camera produces high quality photos, especially under low light conditions. The only inconvenience is the provided USB-C to USB-C cable. I have to buy a USB-C to USB-A cable to plug into my car to use Android Auto.

The Pixel 3a XL is a fantastic mid-range phone for someone who demands a great camera. I bought 2 of these for my grandparents to replace their Moto G4s and they love them. The Google version of Android is very simple and doesn't add anything too annoying or that will slow the device. Also, you get most of the features of a normal Pixel, including the great night camera, for much less cost. The XL is my choice because the larger battery is a must.

I've had the blessing of access to luxury phones through my job from Samsung for years, but have never liked the OS. Had the chance to snag one of these and haven't regretted it. My Note 9, while bigger, isn't any snappier and as you'll see elsewhere, the camera is fabulous. I do some gaming on it, too, with no hiccups. It'll be interesting to see what Google does with Pixel 4, but until then, you can't beat the price for performance ratio with this device.

The 3a LX does not have the wireless charging and some other minor chops, but it has the same great camera as the 3 LX for 40% less in price. Great buy

The pixel a series phones are such a great value. Best Android phone at their price points. Awesome camera and specs that are not noticably worse (for most users) than high end phones. Plus you'll be first to get Android updates and don't have any third party manufacturer customizations or added software. Though I'd probably choose the Pixel 4a now that it has been released (which my wife just ordered).

I don't buy those high phones. Cost too much. This phone can do everything those high phones can do at half the cost. I've been using Google phone for last few years starting with Google Nexus 4. My previous phone was a Nexus 5x. Love it but it was showing its age. This phone has great camera and great battery. With normal use, I would have at least 70% left.

Why pay more? Some other midrange phones may have better specs but this one does everything I want it to do at a great price. Plus it works on my carrier Verizon (I bought the unlocked version) BTW I'm not a gamer so I don't need the latest greatest processor. I had the original Pixel previously.

When it was time to replace my wife's Pixel XL, I considered a lot of phones. However, I couldn't beat the value of the Pixel 3a XL. It has most of the features of a premium phone at a bargain price. It has a big bright screen, a great camera, a headphone jack, and plenty of storage space for her needs. It also performs really well, and will continue to receive updates directly from Google for about two more years.

The pixle 3a XL is a great performing mobile device with one of the best if not the best cameras around. Performs pretty good. Haven't had any issues since I bought it. Battery life is amazing. Only thing i would of want is wireless charging. Other than that its an amazing device.

I prize user interface in a phone and this phone does the job really well. The black Friday sale was really generous and this is one of the best phones I could have gotten then. Battery life impressed me and more and the updates are very snappy. I have read other reviews that say this phone is the phone you need for a regular use person and I could not agree more. Nothing but praise for this phone.

For as cheap as it was compared to a Samsung or iPhone I am satisfied with this phone. It is a bit laggy at times but really what can you expect out of a $380 phone. Not as smooth running asy Samsung and Google pay is no where near as good as Samsung pay but, I can live with the change. Not the end of the world. Camera is better than the note 5 I had and has all the same functions. What more could you ask for
