Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Pixel 3a XL's camera quality, describing it as outstanding and still good even in 2024. They also appreciate its affordable price, long battery life, and user-friendly interface. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the limited storage capacity, lack of wireless charging, and choppy speaker audio at high volumes.

I am a value shopper, and this phone gives you a lot of value. The camera is as great as everyone says it is. And everything else on the phone works as fast as human can use it, so I'm not sure any reduction in specs from the full Pixel 3 model phone really impacts the average user. Very satisfied and highly recommend this phone

Almost the perfect phone, not the outrageously overpriced flagships that all the other manufacturers release. Reasonable priced and you get: No notch, headphone jack, great screen, camera and battery life. If it had wireless charging it would be perfect.

I was hesitant to purchase the Pixel 3a xl due to the low price. I typically purchase the highest price flagship phones. Boy am I glad I did! This phone is packed with features including a great camera and a battery that lasts all day with heavy usage.

Love the OS. This is my first pixel. I come from mostly Samsung smart phones where there is so much crap loaded on the system, and the pixels not having that is wonderful. What I wish Google would do with these is add a micro SD slot. I hate the cloud stuff. I don't want all my music and pics and everything there. I want it all on physical media on the phone. For instance, all my music which I had to upload to Google play, had countless errors while doing it and are now fragmented in my playlist. All of this could be avoided by simply having a micro SD slot. I know it was done to cut down on costs, but geez. The "glass" on my 3aXL was pretty fragile. It's the only phone screen I've ever broken. (I've owned 8 smart phones), and i literally broke it 2 months after buying it. When I broke it, it was about a 2 foot fall into concrete with a case on it. The crack isn't horrible, but it is annoying. I have learned to live with it, as I wasn't able to find anyplace that offered screen replacement at the time it happened (Oct 2019). Good phone. Just shy of being great though.

Mid level chip yet smooth performance. Who'd have known that we actually don't need a powerful processor for simple daily tasks... Unless you're a power user, this phone comes with great battery life, acceptable OLED screen, excellent camera... And prompt Google updates. What more can you ask for in this price range?

I purchased the 3a XL to replace my Nexus 6P, and I could not be happier. The camera is amazing. Battery life is fantastic, If I don't play any mobile games, it can go 3 days between charging with around 6 hours of screen on time. Overall responsiveness and smooth interaction with no lag. Highly recommend.

Pixels are always up to date and reliable. The great camera and software and screen make it a perfect bang for your buck phone. The slower processer hasn't shown it's age or show been much of a factor in use. This is the best phone you can get for the money. Plus they're always on sale.

Compared with my old phone this one seems fast and responsive. My old one was an S3 so I guess there's good reason for it to be slow. The Pixel 3A XL is easy to set up, menus are pretty easy to find the settings you're looking for. I waited for years to buy a new phone and I think I got the right one.

My Pixel 1 was not holding a charge all day any longer, hated to get a new phone but when I saw the 3axl and it's price, plus a $100 Best buy gift card, I couldn't pass it up. Excellent phone and camera. No reason to spend more on any phone.

I bought this phone because my Galaxy 9s+ gave out on me after just under two years and I wanted something affordable but still good. This phone is exactly that! I absolutely love it and recommend it to anyone looking for a good affordable Android. Oh and I totally love the camera too!

I switched to a Google pixel because I was tired of all the problems that come with an iPhone. It was hard to get use to but now I love it better than my iPhone and half to make the switch. Better battery life, amazing camera and I don't even have to use the flash like I had to with my iphone.

Upgraded to this phone from the original Pixel. So far it has been noticably better! Great speed for the price and a camera that takes great photos. If upgrading from a flagship from two plus years ago this will be a vaule added upgrade.

Switched out of a prepaid plan with which buying cheap phones was my only option, but the quality matched.i bought this phone unlocked and I truly feel like I got a top dollar device at an unbeatable price. Such a cost saving phone but high-end features-- especially the AMAZING camera!

I've had many Android phones and my last phone was the Note 9. This phone is excellent, great coverage, great camera and smooth. Reminds me a lot of The iPhone X I left for the Note 9. It's not the fastest but doesn't need to be. IT JUST WORKS. Due note I'm on FirstNet using AT&T's network. I saw someone say it doesn't work on AT&T and that's not true. All you have to do is set the correct APN settings (you can Google it for a how to). I bought the phone unlocked and it's been one of my best purchases I've ever made from Best Buy. Paired seemlessly with my Samsung Gear watch also. Also paired with my truck with no problem. I've owned the phone for 2 weeks.

The phone was great. It was fast and the camera took great photos. My only issue with it was the keyboard but was able to get over that by installing a 3rd party keyboard. Great value for the price especially when compared to other phones that are twice as much but with less features.

I would have bought a Moto G Power for less money, but it wasn't out yet and wasn't supported initially for Google Fi. I'm a Google Fi user, so needed a Google Fi capable phone, needed storage, and wanted some speed. The camera is excellent, fast, and tough.

Couldn't be more happy finally to get a pixel love that I got it for 100 dollars off. Wish they would of put higher storage capacity. Hope they put 128gb of internal storage on the pixel 4a if they do that I'm never going to own a higher prices phone ever again

This is a truly great phone without having to spend two or three times more for a top of the line phone. For most people this phone performs very well. Screen is beautiful, camera is great and processor speed is great for most people and their needs. Why spend hundreds more?

Seriously good phone that some will not consider because of the inferior processor and lower ram. You should listen to what I'm about to say. Coming from a One plus 6T and a Galaxy S10 plus, I do not see one hiccup or slow down since I bought it. Quick and fluid, handles all the stuff I do. Now if you're a heavy gamer with large games that need GPU power, this may not be the device for you. You'll want the latest and greatest processor. I have always been in the boat that the top end is the best. I've had every flagship and every OnePlus device. I was planning to purchase the OnePlus 7 pro this week but kept looking at that price and the darn curved screen. So I decided to give this Pixel 3A XL a try and I'm glad I did. I think you will be too. The camera is a game changer.

Was very reluctant considering it's price but performs extremely well for Moto replacement. I hate paying more than $500 for my phones and since phone inception have always wowed to spend less than $500. I'm pretty sure 1+ would be far superior model in terms of performance when they were available for 499 on promotion but I'm very reluctant to buy phone from companies outside of USA due to security concerns. Don't like plastic casing but the phone is always in a case so not a big deal. However when outside the case the device has tendency to slip out of pant pocket, dropped few times until the case arrived and the case grips it quite well. Pages load quite fast compared to old Moto. I also use Google voice so no more prompts to choose between Google voice number and the mobile number, I believe this could be due to os on pixel, on Moto it was always annoying to select between the two.
