Decent Android phone, battery life could be better

Bought this for the wife. She wanted a smaller screen but good performance and plenty of storage. This phone is decent but the batter life definitely could be better. Google could make it a bit thicker and increase battery life probably. I'm not sure it is worth the price though. Compared to an iPhone the swiping and look and feel seems similar to an 11. For the price, I seriously wonder if I should have just switched from Android. But the phone performs well and handles the app the wife needs.

This was my first Pixel, and I loved it. The operating system was smooth. The display was beautiful. I loved the face lock. Photos were top notch.
The phone worked well with the exception of trying to connect to 5G. Whenever I was in a place where 5G was available, my phone would say it was connected, but rarely did anything on the internet work. It felt like we were back to 3G speeds (when smart phones first came out). I don't believe it was a PHONE issue, but more of a carrier issue, as I have had the same problem with my Pixel 5 as well.
I think it's also worth mentioning that the battery life was nothing like Google said it would be. I had to charge my phone multiple times a day, even with Battery Saver enabled. I do use Marco Polo often, as well as email and text. The battery wasn't too much of an issue as I am often near a charger, but when we had a family outing, I'd have to turn on Airplane mode often just so I could get the battery to last for most of the day.
This pixel lasted a little over 2 years when the screen just stopped working. But it wasn't an issue with the screen itself, and not a matter of doing a reset. I expected a longer lifespan out of it, but recognize that is how most electronics are these days.

I’ve been using the pixel 4 for a week now and I have to say it’s an amazing phone. Easy set-up and great camera quality I personally think it has a better camera than the latest IPhone. I love how the pixel has unique color patterns. I would say this phone is kinda of pricey and doesn’t have as many deals as apple phones and Samsung phones do. The battery life could be better I get about 7 1/2 hours on my pixel 4 but on my iPhone 11 I get about 9 hours.

Great device. Did not realize the difference with 90hz screen and 60 hz screen if I did not use this phone. Camera is pretty impressive for only two lense. Google software is pretty amazing. Only downside is the battery. It drains quite fast and this phone only charges fast with USB power delivery. It is not compatible with qualcomm quick charge 3.0.

I switched from a mac/iPhone/iPad. I use google docs and gmail/googlephotos, etc. This was the easiest switch I've ever made. I took one star off because of the battery life and random glitches, but I still love the ease of logging into everything and the natural storage of my items without having to transfer anything from Apple. The camera is the main reason I bought this phone. It did NOT dissapoint.

I have always been a fan of the Pixel product. In terms of camera and software, I don't think any Android phones can beat this. The pictures taken with this phone is just astonishing and the pure Android experience is very satisfying. However, I do wish the battery life on this phone was better. Other than that, the 90Hz refresh rate really does make a difference in terms of smoothness.

Not the best phone I've ever own. Personally not a fan of the curved corners, gets lost in some apps. Screen navigation takes some time to get used to and sometimes I go back a screen unintentionally. Battery time last about 24 hrs and I get regular use out of it. Being USB C requires additional chargers and adaptors but not a breaker. Overall, I would buy it again. Plus the camera is pretty good.

The camera is the best, no competition. Every picture you take will blow you away no matter which phone you had before (I upgraded from an iPhone XS Max). Just take a single night picture and see what I'm referring to. The screen is great, everything is super smooth with the phone. My one complaint is the battery just gets you through a day, other phones offer much better battery life.

I am very happy with the Google Pixel 4. The camera is flat out amazing! I can finally take the best pictures. If you're running heavy applications or streaming a lot, the battery can drain pretty quickly. On the plus side, it charges very fast. I love the clean Android install on this phone much better than the bloatware you get on some other models.

Google Pixel 2 > Samsung S20 > Google Pixel 4

I had the Google Pixel 2 phone for 2 years and loved it. I saw the reviews for the Samsung S20 phone and bought it, mostly for the camera and the a "newness". After having the S20 for a while I went back to the Pixel phone. Why? Lemme tell you ...
APPS
- The S20 phone has bloatware (*gasp!*) loaded. I can't uninstall it and it's terrible.
- The Pixel phone is a true Android experience.
UPDATES
- Samsung releases updates almost every month. In 2019 Samsung released 8-9 updates.
- Google, like clockwork, releases updates every month. In 2019, they released updates every month. These were both OS updates & security fixes
OS
- Samsung tends to be 9 months behind on the latest Android OS
- Google you'll get the latest OS as soon as it's released.
THINGS
- With the S20 unlocking my phone was a TERRIBLE experience. Sometimes it wouldn't recognize my face to unlock, so then I tried to unlock it with my thumbprint ... wouldn't recognize that ... so I had to use my PIN most times.
- Google Photos is free unlimited storage to store your photos online. So why would I want to backup my photos to Microsoft OneDrive?
- Bixby is terrible. I know it can be disabled but I love having Google Assistant; especially being able to squeeze the phone on the side to access it.
- VoiceMail is a separate app. On the Pixel it's part of the phone app.
- Using Places in the phone app (pulls up businesses in the area), takes a long time to search and pulls up biz in another town 20 minutes away as the first search results.
- Samsung calendar somehow synced with my Google Calendar. What does that mean? That means I get double notifications! Not only will I get a notification of an even from my Google Calendar, the Samsung Calendar will chime in too "hey look at me!"
And for these reasons I'm out. I'm back on a Pixel phone. Great camera. Stable. No crashes or issues. I have yet to find 1 issue with Google Pixel phone that I don't like. Thank you Google for making a quality Android phone with an excellent camera!

Love the Pixel line of phones so got one for my wife coming off the galaxy s9. She took about a week to adjust and now loves her phone. Obviously the best feature is the camera that take photo second to none, video is still slightly behind my iPhone 11 Pro. The fluidity of the 90 Hz screen and bloat free software is great. Now there were some initial pain points for my wife such as not enough internal storage (maxes out at 128gb), no expandable memory slot, the camera bump, and having to buy new PD chargers since Samsung uses Qualcomm quick charge. But after an adjustment period she is very happy and says she will not go back to Samsung.

i have had this phone for about a month now and i can say it takes good pictures, it has a nice screen, easy to hold, fast charging.
security updates every month which is a plus. in my opinion if you can get a deal its a well worth it phone but its not worth 800 dollars. the battery life is not thje best.

This phone is great but it's missing the one thing that I really loved about my Pixel 2 which is the fingerprint scanner. I now have to remember my passwords for everything which kind of sucks. The battery life is great, I love the wireless charging, screen picture is awesome, and the camera is amazing.

I like the size of this phone, it's not too big for keeping in my front pockets, I bought the Google Case and makes the phone feel more robust, the battery life is decent but not great, if you wanna a smartphone with more autonomy go for a Galaxy, the camera is great, astrophotography is like magic, you don't need a expensive tripod, just grab a glass and lay on the phone in the glass and that do the job, it's super fast. Only thing I don't like y the lack of fingerprint sensor, I know the trending is less buttons but a few apps support face unlock vs fingerprint sensor.

4 of 5 the camera and all the stuff from Google is good only thing I would complain is the battery but it does last me a day so I don't really have to worry. Also the black is too glossy for me would have wanted to get the white but they didn’t have it for this model only in the small and XL versions...

This phone runs smooth, good camera and good screen. Overall good phone. I got it on sale so it was worth the price but I would not recommend it at full price. The battery is okay but not great.
If you get the all black I would recommend a case as it is slippery and gets lots of fingerprints.

This phone is Google's Forth in the Pixel line and has amazing stuff build in. Though some will be sad to miss the fingerprint reader, their new Face Unlock will be amazing. Granted they had it before Apple and removed years ago, it's nice to see it back and better than before.

Great camera and pure android, fast face unlock, but battery life is very poor, you can charge it wireless so buy a wireless charger for easy recharge. If Google Assistant is not talking back go to setting and search for Speech Output and set it to Full.

I have had the Pixel 2 and 3. This 4 is a step backward. Removing the back button is stupid and I hate it 100%. Google Assistant doesn't work as well as the 3 did. Overpriced and forced to purchase by googles' shotty repair service.
