Love this new phone, the unlimited back up of all my pics is the best part for me. The camera is in my opinion the best you can have in a mobile device not to mention the speed and operation of the device is next level. A++++++

When I talk about the Google Pixel I'm torn on how I feel. I really want to love the phone, but some things hold it back from making it an easy recommendation. I'll break down my pros and cons below: Pros: Stock Android experience. Stock android is so smooth and bloat free. You won't find duplicate or bloatware apps like Facebook like you do on other devices from manufacturers like Samsung or LG. Security and OS updates. I love stock android and getting day 1 os and security updates directly from Google. Other manufacturers like LG can make you wait up to a year for an OS update if they even update at all. You get to try out the new android features before anyone else. Camera. The photos you can get on this make even a novice photographer like myself seem like they have awesome photography skills lol Flat display. In my opinion I think curved displays make the experience worse so I'm glad Google has refused to put one in their phones. Now on to the cons: Display brightness. You will find yourself using max brightness all the time, because the display is very dim. It's basically unusable outside so if you work alot outside or spend alot of time outside don't buy this phone. Hardware design. The design of the hardware feels a couple of years behind other companies like Samsung especially with the bezels. The build quality feels cheap and not up to the $900 price tag Google asks. 6GB of memory. I'm not sure what is up with Google and refusing to put a decent amount of memory in their phones, but when every other manufacturer is doing 8 or 12GB of memory Google settles for 6GB. You will experience performance hiccups and app reloading due to the limited amount of ram. No fingerprint sensor. This is a major pain point for me as I unlock my phone alot and using several banking apps. Most banking apps are not compatible with face unlock so you will have to manually type in your password every single time you use the app. Overall I can't recommend this phone at it's original and current asking price of $900. If you can find it on sale for $500 or less alot of the issues I have with it are alot more forgivable.

For starters, I upgraded from an Iphone 6s. Bit of a technology leap, but very noticably better. The Pixel 4 XL is great if you're looking to start using the Android style of phones, as it is very straight forward and easy to understand. There is a learning curve, but a small one. The only real downside to this phone, which keeps it from being 5/5 is the price. You're paying 900$ for a 64gb phone. Compared to the other brands, that's not a great deal. If you don't need a ton of on device storage, this is negligible. The screen is great (oled) and the gorilla glass used for the back is picturesque. Would I upgrade from a Pixel 3xl? Probably not, but if you've been holding off and are using a low to mid-range device - this is a solid buy. LET BEST BUY INSTALL THE SCREEN PROTECTOR!! Trust me, it's worth it.

I've been a fan of the Pixel phone since Pixel 3XL. The reason I purchased the P4XL is because it can support two active mobile lines. The P3 was only able to support one active even though it has the eSIM and physical SIM. having two active SIMs sold me! As for the camera, it takes amazing photos both in daylight and dark rooms (within reason). They did slimmed down the width of the phone, but veeery little. There is some extra weight to the phone, which makes it have more of a premium feel. With the Pixel 4XL, the fingerprint sensor was removed and now it supports gestures. However, the down side is that apps dont support gestures yet. So I'm having to enter my password when it's required. This is not the limitation of the phone, it's that the app developers havent caught up yet. This will in time.

This phone is incredible. The camera is simply the best I've ever seen even with a simple point and shoot method. No need to go mess with advanced settings for every shot. The very large display is also beautiful. Text is very sharp and colors are vibrant and overall just beautiful. Netflix and Hulu look incredible on this phone. Setup was a breeze and all of my apps and all of the updates downloaded VERY fast and with zero issues. Speakers get loud without distortion and have a decent amount of bass (for a phone). The only cons I really have is that the phone is quite heavy and I also very highly recommend at least a simple case because the back is very slippery. All in all, if you're an Android fan you cannot go wrong with this phone and especially at the current discounted price it is a much better value than any other premium decice out there.

The Pixel 4 XL has been a great phone for me. I recommended forcing the 90 hrz refresh rate under developer settings. Not something I expected to notice but once you use it it is hard to go back. The default automatic setting causes the screen to flicker in low light situations because the phone is constantly switching between 90 and 60 hrz. So either forcing 90 hrz all the time or 60 hrz is the solution for me. Battery takes a hit but this phone has fast charging with USB C. Wireless charging is also very convenient. You can just slap it on a charging puck while working in the office. Along with other Pixel phones this one has a great camera. Camera is defiantly the main selling point for me. I take tons of pictures of my kids and they come out great every time. Quick access to the camera with double press of power button helps not miss a moment.

Coming from a line of Samsung then Pixel 2, the Pixel 4 is a terrific phone. It keeps much of the same features of previous Pixels that have made them a force in the mobile market, and improved the line in many areas. The great thing about Pixels is that the only real differences between the sizes is the screen size (duh) and the battery. With the 4XL I can use my phone for a variety of things all day (including extended periods of gaming) and still have battery left over at the end of the day. And the camera is fantastic and can even improve over time as Google puts a lot of their camera tech into software, so updates to improve the phone's photo capabilities are in store.

Great smartphone overall, been using it for several days and happy with it. Camera takes amazing pictures, tons of effects to play with. Sound quality is great and with connected Bluetooth headphones too. No dropped calls and shows 1 bar more then iPhone 8 Plus in my area with the same carrier. 90Hz OLED screen stands out and makes everything you do on this Pixel very smooth, especially games. Battery holds whole day easily with my typical usage and fast charging helps in case you need some juice quickly. I did put on thin silicon protecting case and privacy screen protector and still can use it with one hand, many other phones are too wide. Very happy that I switched from other brand, cause Google provides 3 years of updates and that is very important, when other brands launch new phones every 6 months but don't support them good enough.

FU (face unlock) is bad it even opens if you close your eyes, As there is no fingerprint lock, it's being hard to use mbl as few apps like banking can't be accessed with this FU and even if it allows us, it is not secured as mentioned in first point. As I spent almost 1000 bucks still I need to buy earphones..3.5 mm Jack is not provided. Rest the camera performance is very good, easy to use - back home recent options are good and they can be customised I am thinking to return this but the time realized that FU is bad couldn't return date is late.. just 15 days to return this

The Pixel 4 XL offers a fast, smooth, pure Android experience. While I'm not one to take a lot of pictures, the camera produces some of the most crisp, life like photos and video I have seen, with vibrant colors that isn't too over saturated. The reports about mediocre battery life so far have been unfounded in my usage, as I have been getting about two days of moderate use before having to charge it. In closing while the Pixel lacks some of the sexy bells and whistles, of other flagship phones, it more than meets, and exceeds the needs of what I look for in a smartphone, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

It is fast, the battery lasts forever, it is intuitive and the calls are crystal clear, but let me talk about the camera. Oh dear, the camera is absolutely amazing. We got this right before a trip to Scotland and the pictures this thing took make it seem like we were using a multi thousand dollar fancy pants camera. We're talking "this stuff looks photo shopped" quality pictures. Granted Scotland is gorgeous but for the first time in my life I feel like the pictures we took came close to what our eyes were actually seeing, and all this from a cell phone. Sorry to my previous company that I had been getting my cell phones from, I can't go back, Google all the way now. Oh, and the unlocked version meant no bloatware! Can't get much better than that.

Pretty much everything under the sun has been said about this phone, and I highly doubt that anyone is going to read this review but I just wanted to share that is probably the best Android that is currently available on the market. Yes, best is completely subjective and my opinion doesn't matter but so far I am happy that I purchased this device. I would have given this five stars, however I am a little concerned with the overall battery life and I absolutely hate the face unlock feature because this phone never recognizes me.... The good news is both of those things are mostly manageable and not deal breakers in my world.

I have been using Apple for many years, but decided to leave the Apple proprietary-ness of certain features. After looking at various options, I chose the Pixel 4 XL. I was able to get most of the same apps (except Android versions), a few of the apps the developers did not have the Android version, but that was okay, there were many more similar apps out there. The Camera is GREAT. Very good images, love the zoom feature. Access to the phone using face recognition is a plus. a Gentile wave of the hand over the ringing phone silences the ring. So far, I had the phone for a couple of weeks and highly recommend it.

I used to only purchase Samsung Galaxy phones...I switched over to the Google Nexus/Pixel line of phones and never looked back. I just enjoy the OS on Pixel phones..no added on software like Samsung adds on. This phone is quick and very responsive..handles all games I play on it and I can have several apps running without much of a slowdown. Only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is that I feel like the camera on the Pixel 3 was better. Maybe it is just me...but the Pixel 3 took some really good pictures...and so does the 4...but the improvement on the camera just isn't there.

I recently switched from tmobile to spectrum and due to them only allowing certain phones I had to change my phone. So it was an option of samsung, apple or google. I went with this phone as i dislike the other two options I had. So far this phone has been working great. It is light and responsive and it was a breeze to setup. I due miss the fingerprint sensor, but you get use to the face unlock. the phone works very well and playing games on it is great. I onyl play a couple which are mario kart and marvel contest of champions. Both work fantastic and all other functions work well.

I haven’t been able to use the phone for messaging or calling yet, so can’t rate on that, but can say I love this phone already. Playing games on it feels so much better on my hand than my last phone did. The picture quality is FANTASTIC. I chose this phone because I do professional photography and wanted a backup for times I can’t bring my camera with me but see something I want to shoot. I love everything about this phone so far, and I haven’t even explored all the features yet. To be honest, the camera quality and getting away from iPhone updating every other day were my top priorities and this phone is great for both.
