The Pixel 4 XL is a great phone. The Pixel series have been known for their great cameras and this doesn't disappoint. This is the first phone with the built in Soli Chip for Sonar based Gesture Control. Now I don't need to physically touch my phone to go to the next track while listening to Spotify or even snooze my alarm. I do wish the phone had the fingerprint sensor still like the previous generation but the facial recognition does respond just as fast if not faster. Until my financial apps can use the facial recognition biometrics, it'll be a pain (albeit, only temporary) entering my password. Battery life has not been an issue either as some have been worried about.

Superior Android phone, and amazing value. Remarkable camera and Google Assistant integration makes this the ultimate device for voice controls and quick information gathering.

Best camera (doesn't wash out colors, very clear photos), app use is very smooth, only disadvantage I've found is the battery runs out quickly

I got the Pixel 4XL because of the new google assistant which performs extremely fast and reliably. When I'm on the road I can navigate, ask questions and play music without touching the phone or getting my eyes off the road. Also searching on google has never been more fun when searching with the assistant. The only downsides I feel about this phone are the small bezels which make me accidentally click and the lack of a fingerprint sensor. Because I'm wearing a face mask these days its been difficult to use face unlock while travelling.

I’m a mobile developer and the Pixel devices are a great addition to your arsenal. You get Google’s Android updates as soon as they come out, the ability to opt in to early betas of their newest OS, and zero bloatware. But make no mistake, this is no generic Android device. This is their flagship. The camera is great (not awesome), the size and weight are amazingly light for a phone this size, The screen looks beautiful and the features google packs to make it work with everything Google make it a phone you’ll use for years to come.

The night camera mode is much better on the 4 XL and works great. People have said you need to turn on the flash but I respond no worries it's the night mode, and when they see the picture their impressed. Not to mention the picture quality on regular lighting is top notch. Fast phone, no software delays and very happy with my purchase. I just would have liked to still have the fingerprint log in, but all in all the face recognition works just fine. You are taking a sec or 2 to log in when losing the fingerprint login, but if you don't mind that and are ok with just using your face then it's a solid 5 stars.

Anyone wanting a vanilla Android experience should look no further than the Google Pixel 4 XL. This phone has a quality build and feels very solid in the hand. Overall, everything works well together, given that it is all Android developed software. I am reasonably happy with the battery life, typically getting through a majority of the day, but also tend to plug the phone in the car for Android Auto. The camera on this phone is outstanding and love the stock camera app. Overall, I would highly suggest this phone to anyone who wants a phone that does not come with pre-installed bloatware or skins.

Had the google pixel 3a and bought this and it’s definitely a huge upgrade. Faster, better camera etc. its pretty great

The camera quality is great and the phone has so many useful features! The Google Assistant helps me with a multitude of tasks and is easy to call up when I need her.

I only had it for a week but I really like it so far. It does seem to use the battery faster than I would like. Takes great pictures and the processor is fast.

Not the best phone for this price point, but if you really enjoy stock Android and nearly best in class camera, this is a decent purchase.

I was rocking a Motorola Z4 and when my stimulus check came in since I've been working the entire time I decided to finally upgrade to a flagship phone. I did my research and looked at the Samsung S10 looked at the Samsung s20 and then also looked at the LG v60 and out of all of those phones the Pixel 4 had everything I liked and decided to go with the XL model and I've enjoying the ease of use, a fantastic cameras the strip down Android experience and looking forward to Android 11 on June 3rd

Best Android experience I've had in a phone. I went from Samsung to Pixel and I haven't had a regret yet. Camera is amazing specially Night Sight. Feature Drops are a great bonus. I haven't had any bad experience with the battery life (I have always had to charge any phone I ever had at least once a day). The fast charging is awesome. Overall the best phone I've had.

The phone itself has honestly been a really great phone, with face unlock working absolutely brilliantly. The soli radar make the unlock process much better as well since it can detect when you are reaching for your phone. The main problem has really just been battery life, since the radar seems to really drain the battery quite a bit.

Lighting fast. The camera is too notch. I don’t think any other phone has this good of a camera. I would buy it again and recommend it to everyone.

Sammy's are very good, don't get me wrong, had every one since the S3 to Note 10+. Pixel is a refreshing change, pure clean android just works! Not sure if google does this on purpose but it works so much better with nest cams! cool stuff. Oh, all the bad reviews online? Fake news, I get all day on the battery, sure is less than note 10 but haven't needed a charger yet

Camera is great. Voice activation works great even with defender case from OtterBox. Only thing I would ask for is more battery life.

Works better than I expected. It is so fast & smooth when browsing different sites. The camera on the phone is exceptional.

If you are someone who MUST have the vanilla Android experience and all the latest software updates and features available at the earliest then and only then this phone is for you. But it still might not be worth the original price. I bought it after a $100 price cut and a $200 gift card thrown in and I can barely justify its price. Google is no longer the de facto camera king and the lack of an ultra wide angle camera is incomprehensible if there was any intention to brag about being "the best camera in a phone". I mean, seriously, how many times a year would you use the astrophotography mode vs the ultra wide angle mode? When it comes to performance and battery life, there are a ton of phones(much cheaper ones too like Oneplus 7 Pro) that surpass it. The direction Pixel is going into looks more like "I can do almost anything" vs "I excel in everything" which is not what Google promised when it moved away from the cheaper Nexus line to the "premium" Pixel series.
