The Best Pixel Yet

With this being my second Pixel, I know what was in store. Is the Pixel 5 a true flagship? No, not in my opinion. There are phone with faster processors, bigger batteries, and perhaps, even a better camera. But I love the "vanilla" stock Android experience and the lack of annoying bloatware that other phones have. I like the size as well. Coming from a Pixel 3a XL, this 6" phone almost felt small. The battery life is excellent and even though the camera hardware is dated, it still takes outstanding photos.

I like that my phone is light, and thin. The size of it is also what makes it easy to put in my pocket and or jacket pockets.

Good price for a flagship phone. Battery life is solid, camera is great. If you like Android, it doesn't get much better.

This is my first Pixel phone and I'm very happy with it. Good to get rid of the Samsung bloat after several years with a Galaxy. Battery life is good and camera is excellent. Haven't seen any issues with the processor. The main difference I noticed is the speaker behind the screen rather than a cut-out. Takes some getting used to but far from an issue. The screen color is very rich and Android 11 runs like it is intended to. Also a very light phone with an aluminum back rather than glass.

I bought this phone after having my previous one for almost 5 years and I am happy to say I am not disappointed. It has a great camera great battery life and nice display. Yes I know there are other phones in this price range that are better but you are mostly buying this phone for a great software experience and great camera. There are a couple of small bugs with the software from time to time but I expect them to be resolved since this phone is made by Google. Other than that I highly recommend this phone to anyone.

Phone came a day earlier than the release date, so props to Best Buy and the shipping company.
Phone battery life is outstanding. Better than all the other Pixel phones have been, and I've purchased all of them so far.
The size is in between the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL. Just right for me.
Screen goes all the way to the edge, so you don't lose any space over the XL size.
I don't think the camera is any better overall than the Pixel 4, but the price is cheaper.

Really liked everything about this phone. Great size, great camera, and the battery life is amazing. I think this phone has the perfect combination of processing power and price. Unfortunately I had to return the phone due to a known issue where WiFi calling will cut out with my specific carrier. Other than my issue with WiFi calling (not sure if this problem was more due to my carrier or the phone itself) I have no complaints and wish I could have kept using it.

I'm a first time Pixel owner and the experience is so refreshing. Out of the box the phone is just so simple. I'm not fighting with samsung phones any longer. I don't want junk software installed. No facebook, instagram, twitter, alternative web browsers, app stores, or antivirus. What you get is an android phone with the correct default apps for things you want to do. Messages, email, etc are all built in google suite apps and work perfectly. Messages in fact is so powerful now because you can pull up your texts via web browser on any PC. When I'm at my computer desk I don't even need to touch my phone and it's so much easier to type and respond to clients who prefer SMS via the computer. I used to have a separate google voice number just for doing this, but now I no longer need to maintain that extra phone number.
The newest OS also has built in smart device shortcuts anchored on the power button, and because that makes using smart devices so easy I've added additional smart plugs and lights to my home. I truly feel like this phone has changed the way I operate daily with the smart device integration. Also google assistant is good, like REALLY GOOD. I no longer set alarms or timers manually. I tell google to do it for me. It saves me so much time, and I'm amazed by how much I can accomplish hands free.
The only complaint I have at all is that the ear speaker is under the glass which takes some getting used to and is not loud enough in some environments (like driving with loud road noise). This is easily remedied by using a bluetooth earpiece, and let's be honest most people have those if you truly want to do anything hands free so the ear speaker becomes a non issue.

My 4th Pixel, after an untimely death of my 4XL (note: phones don't like saltwater...). Though I actually miss some features, primarily the ability to wave snooze my alarm in the morning, the size change is great, and the return of the fingerprint sensor is certainly welcome in the mask era. Still great UI, excellent camera, and always up to date. Not as many gimmicks as others, but still one of the smartest phones out there

Pixel 5 is the best Pixel phone

Best phone for the price on the market. The pixel 4a is not waterproof or it would be better. That being said, for the money this is the best phone you can buy. Battery life is amazing, screen size is perfect and it just fits in the hand. Bought this for my wife, I have had mine since October of last year and had no issues. Also, the free Google storage, and Android updates faster than Samsung.

So far I have been pretty happy with my Pixel. I know I don't use it as extensively as others who may be looking for a lot more bells and whistles, but the camera works great and has worked for all my needs. Also nice that it didn't break the bank and I just paid for it outright and not get caught up in another 2 year payment plan.
Nice change from my last Galaxy, just trying to get use to a little different set up.

I have been very happy with the Pixel 5, I prefer the software experience on the Pixel phone, no carrier or manufacturer bloat ware on the phone. The phone runs very smooth and the camera takes great pictures. I was a little concerned that it had the 765G chip and not the 865 but I can honestly say the phone is plenty fast with the 765. 5G speeds with TMobile have been good. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Some pros and cons

Good camera, CPU is responsive, long lasting battery, nice screen. Terrible microphone and inferior sound compared to Pixel 2. People always complain that they can't hear me well. Sound is coming from the bottom instead of both sides of the screen so stereo is gone and sound can be muffled with certain hand positions.

LOVE mine. There is no "screen gap" defect that has been mentioned around on social media. Love the new swipe left feature instead of the back button. Screen is same size as the 2XL but the phone itself is much smaller - fabulous! Extremely fast charge and battery lasts more than a day or 2 with heavy use. Old phone information was easy to transfer everything over and didn't leave anything out.

Nice size phone with good responsiveness for email, web, video and apps. Pictures taken are excellent and no issues with taking good videos either. Not being used for gaming so no comment on its performance there. Got a good price on an unlocked phone from BestBuy so its value was excellent. Battery life is good for a couple of days under typical use and wireless charging is nice to have.
