Went from a 5 to this. No complaints so far. Still the great Google phones I've come to like. If you can get it on discount with the 7 now out, even better!

    Pixel 3 was better

The pixel 3 was better. This phone crashes constantly and feels a little cheap. I was expecting better quality control. Some functions just turn on by themselves like the live transcript. Overall, I'm disappointed. I had high hopes for this phone. The eraser function on the phone is as good as the Snapseed healing option. The saving grace for this phone is the camera. It's what I expect from a pixel but overall not a huge difference from the pixel 3. I say skip this phone, maybe next year's is better

I was super impressed by the two people who helped me with my purchase -- Jaleesa (forgive the spelling) & I can't remember the man's name (worse than spelling!). I even tried after I came home to try to figure out how to contact store management to compliment them, but I couldn't figure out how. They were great. Got me what I wanted for a better price than I had hoped for. The phone? Seems fine...

Overall happy - setup was a nightmare

Per the title, I am overall happy with the phone. I am a long time Samsung user, but figured I would try a Google product this go around. The price was just too low to not try it. Pros: Fast and responsive Good Bluetooth signal Great camera Cons: Setup was very, very, very buggy Gestures Navigation by default No 3.5 Jack (minor) No SD card expansion The phone works really well and after turning off adaptive smoothing and adaptive animations, my phone runs cool with great battery life (over a day on a single charge). There are a ton of features/tricks/shortcuts and I have only scratched the surface. That is both good and bad. With my Samsung phones, while UI updated, it was more of an evolution versus true Android (still seems less intuitive than the Galaxy phones). I can figure it out but it has taken awhile to get it set up like I like it. However, most people who have used an Android based phone can figure it out pretty quickly. Now the bad - setting it up was a nightmare. My phone arrived with no charge and I did not realize it until it shut off midway through the set up. A moment of panic but it recovered. However, my data port was interrupted and my old phone was already shut off. Charged for a bit to get it back up and had to restart. Started the port over and forgot to check apps. In order to move apps, you get one shot at the start of you have to do a factory reset. 1st reset and try again. The port fails because it requires both a cable and Wifi to move the data. The 2nd reset failed/stalled in porting data and I have no txt messages and incomplete data. The 3rd reset failed during boot up. The 4th worked but did not port over all data. The 5th time was the charm as I gave up on porting apps and just did data while manually reinstalling apps and has run flawlessly since. 50% would likely have given up. This was one of the big reasons I had not upgraded for a while (fear of this very scenario). Thankfully all worked out. Samsung and Apple have a far better experience with this portion. The last gripe is that Google sets Gestures Navigation as standard. Why? It is slower than the normal 3 button setup and is confusing. Can you figure it out - yes, but seems like it should not be defaulted on. Other than that, standard complaint that it doesn't have a headphone jack or and SD card slot. Not much choice on either of those as companies are trying to phase them out (knew this going in).

Purchased Pixel 6, I have been pleased with the new phone. Still learning to navigate Pixel vs Samsung. I am disappointed with the camera, if you are wanting to take close up pictures then I would suggest investing in the 6 Pro. I know there is a learning curve, I'm still working on it.

I had a Google Pixel 5 and couldn't get a replacement phone for a broken screen. Best Buy sent me a eGift to purchase another phone. I went with the Google Pixel 6. So far I have loved my new phone.
