My pre orders device was a bad unit. I was sent a replacement device and now this is the second bad unit. I like the pixel 6 like I really do but this is unacceptable. I have a green tint I cannot get rid of.

Good phone, great camera but very poor battery. The battery drains out within just half a day with full charge. Pretty disappointed by the battery performance. The charging time too isn't great. It takes upto 1.5 to 2 hours to get completely charged.

This phone is such a disappointment. I finally left Samsung thinking Google would be the way to go but I was wrong. The phone constantly loses signal, times out on making calls, and two weeks ago the Bluetooth stopped working with half my electronics. I wanted to be patient and wait for a few updates before I reviewed. This phone is driving me crazy now. My $400 Samsung A51 did not have these issues it was just slow. I will never purchase another Google phone. Going back to Samsung!!!!

Pixel 6 256gb Terrible battery life. Possibly defective. My 2+ year old OnePlus 6t would make it through a full day of heavy use with no issue. First day with the 256gb has been terrible. This is my first Pixel. I was so excited to finally get one! I'm not waiting for an "Update" as they usually never arrive. The new pixels don't even come with unlimited Google photos or OneDrive storage. I'll hold out for something better.

I live in the country and no internet here, so my both samsung S8 I can cast on any tv at home, but google said not available. I will keep my S8 or go with any other brand.

I would say a fabulous phone, but too many screen issues and the solution was to repair a phone that was problematic out of the box. It should be replaced, rather than repair.

Newest tech, PPS CHARGER NOT INCLUDED

    Posted .

Newest tech in your hand, nice screen, google's new hardware. I usually don't buy a phone when it first comes out but when you can have new for what I was paying for old, I decided to dive in. I have a lot of google home devices and as you know your phone or tablet becomes the brain center for your house so I wanted the newest. First thing that struck me taking it out of the box is the weight of this beast, this is for sure a bluetooth for a long conversation, your hand will fall asleep holding this to your ear! (I would not want to have this thrown at me, it would hurt!) The box does not include a charger (what the heck?) For all this money google should have raised the price a few dollars and tossed their low priced PPS technology charger into the deal or offered it as a discounted add on if bought same time as the phone (not a big deal the phone charges as fast as my old 4xl does with the stock charger that came with it and usb C is a fairly widespread connecter that comes on many devices that you might already have in your collection). I think google made a mistake, just means more money for companies that sell PPS tech chargers, it's not really a MUST have unless you use the heck out of your phone and have limited time to charge it. Setup went ok until it got to the point of setting up the sim, for whatever reason it all came to a screeching halt right there but I was able to manually get the e-sim to download and setup. As always there was a sorta big update to install right out of the box. The pixels have a copy function just plug old phone into one end of the C cable and new phone into the other end and let it go was quick too. After the 4xl latest updates things don't work too differently so not a lot of learning curve if you've had a recent android phone.

Not sure this is better than 4a

Great camera. Fast searches. I wanted the 6 Pro, but none were available. Negatives: fingerprint scanner is garbage, slow, doesn't detect 80% of the time with no screen protector and sensitivity turned all the way up. I'm sure it will get worse when I finally get a screen protector. I used the fingerprint detector all the time on my Pixel 4a, even for banking sign in. So this is a huge disappointment. 2nd negative is how slippery this is with no case. In 3 days I've dropped it twice and it has slipped off my bed and off my desk. This is very scary, but I'm hoping for my case in 5 days. So buy the case first. Third negative. The camera lump is more of an irritation than I thought it would be. But that lump is the only thing that allows me to pull the phone from my pocket. So I guess that's an offsetting positive...sort of. Overall I'm questioning my decision to trade in the 4a, especially since the fingerprint sensor is so bad.

The phone is wonderfully fast and the camera is great. Pros: Good 90Hz screen with adaptive coloring Camera takes crisp photos Battery charges quickly Call quality is great Stupid fast processor Cons: In certain low lighting situations the camera adds some grain and the viewfinder isn't what you see in the end result and is worse than the end result so don't worry bout that part. The battery life is drained 3x faster with 5G trying to connect to the ultra bands and back so turning it off saves and keeps phone from heating up quick Phone heats up sometimes when using alot of data Netflix at one point didn't work on this phone so just download from apk mirror

This is a solid phone with a good camera, fun features and decent battery life. It is a little heavy with a case on and strains my wrists with prolonged use. Also, pixels are Graphene OS compatible!

Although this is a nice effort by Google, I don't recommend it as a great deal. Here are the cons that cause me to have this perspective: * Fingerprint sensor - it is a joke. I do not want to experiment with a $40 screen protector to get it to work. I already tried 3 different tempered glass screen protector brands and NONE of them work. (note: these brands, <$10, work fine on other phones) Google messed up - added "security" isn't worth anything when it doesn't work at all. * Battery life - it is only so-so. I am used to having a phone that easily can go for 16 hours. I am finding I need to be very cautious with my Pixel 6 use because I am down to below 50% after 10 hours with only moderate use. I travel and have not needed to be an "outlet-searcher" for a couple of years and don't want to start. * Special features - aren't so special. A friend's non-Pixel phone handles translations about as well as the Pixel. I couldn't tell a speed difference. His phone also could run an app with 'magic eraser'. Those aren't reasons to get a Pixel. Although pictures are very good, for the non-professional photographer like me, my LG phones (V35, G8, V60) took as good photos as the Pixel 6, and the LG phones had a lot more camera options to use if I wanted to use them. * Price - it is a value only when comparing it to the Apples and Samsungs of the world. This is the first 'at-release' phone I've purchased and spent much more than my LG phones (<$400) I've used for the last several years that I bought 6+ months after their release. I got caught up in the hype of these new Pixels and would have been happier with a Pixel 5a if it had a 256GB option.

I'm honestly writing this review to cancel out that review bomb. I like iPhones, but Pixel is where I would go if I wanted Android. They can connect to any ChromeCast device or Android TV wirelessly, Type C is a huge plus, and this years SoC made by Google is no slouch. People should review bomb just because they don't like a products one feature.

Just because of the review bomb fool. Phone looks great! I almost switched to this because of the magic eraser feature and super zoom. Best pixel phone by far based on hands on review. The only negative is an optical fingerprint reader instead of ultrasonic.

I love nearly everything about this device. Unfortunately, Google has opted to release a device that they can't seem to support properly. First, the fingerprint scanner is the worst of any phone I have ever used. 80% of the time, I run out of tries and have to use my pin. Annoying. I have tried all the little tricks and suggestions found online and none work. Second, the updates for this phone are promised, but rarely delivered. And when they do come, they seem to have as many bugs as they fix. Some features recently were even removed by an update so they can be fixed and re-introduced in a later update. I probably should have gone with the Pixel 5 and skipped the 6 altogether. Since this is Google's first attempt at using their own chip to power the phone, I should have waited at least a full version for them to work out the kinks. Lesson learned. Please hurry Pixel 7, because the 6 is so not worth the trouble.

Classic Pixel easy to use. Fast fingerprint sensor in screen works very well. Would recommend buying this to anybody. Works way better than the other brand phone that I bought before it. Figured I'd give Samsung another try. Ended up with a pixel 6.
