Customers praise the Pixel 6 Pro 128GB's camera quality and battery life, with many citing these as top features. However, some users experienced issues with the phone's size, finding it unwieldy, and others reported occasional performance problems and connectivity difficulties. A few also noted the phone's tendency to overheat during use. While the design and refresh rate received positive feedback, concerns regarding software and hardware polish were also raised.

So far, I love it but miss rear fingerprint reader

Upgraded from Pixel 2, which I loved but was slowing down. Been waiting for this release for some time because I wasn’t thrilled with the earlier models. I’m excited to use the camera upgrades, but haven’t had a chance yet. My biggest disappointment is loss of the rear fingerprint reader even though I knew it was happening. It was so effortless to use on the rear, which is why I’ve only given it 4 stars instead of 5. Having the reader on the front is much more clunky. I hope they consider returning to it in a future model.

Google's First True Pixel Failure

The phone casing and screen are tragically flawed and Google will not help you. There is a weak point in the casing at the cutout for the power button. This caused my screen to crack, despite never being subject to another stress or any drops. I only had the phone for 3 months before this happened, and now have to pay out of pocket to rectify Google's poor manufacturing and design. It really pains me to write this as I've only owned Pixels since the original Pixel XL.

I liked my old Pixel, so purchased this newer one. Has the same great features, but they added a very aggravating new thing. They have a microphone that pops up and starts typing in a box you are going to text in. It picks up conversations or TV and types it. Then you have to delete everything. When you tell it to stop Listening, then it stops, and a big blue spot shows on your screen. Then the little microphone is sitting in the corner over your time. I tried to move it, but it won't budge.

I really wanted to love this phone, but the modem inside it is absolutely horrendous and there are so many bugs in the software that it just makes the phone almost useless. I would lose signal while in the city, and it hardly ever connected to 5G (on Verizon’s network). However, when I swapped my SIM card out to my iPhone, I had signal, so it was obvious that the phone just had terrible cellular connectivity. Not to mention the battery life. The phone doesn’t even last for 8-10 hours let alone the “24 hour battery” that Google touts.
The one thing that saves this phone from being 1 star, is the camera. It’s absolutely glorious. The 4x optical zoom, the wonderful night shot capability, and true color tone, beats out the iPhone 13 Pro Max. But is it worth spending the money for this when you can get a much better all around phone? Don’t buy this phone…

The phone is excellent. Pick up at BestBuy, after making the transaction online, was NOT easy. I picked up the new phone in an instant, but then needed to go to the mobile section of the store to process the trade-in. They simply did not know how to do it. The clerk told me you couldn't have done a trade in on line. He was wrong. I asked him to find a department manager. He did, and the manager processed everything and sent me on my way -- but it turned out that BestBuy didn't process it correctly on their end, leaving them with no record that I'd picked up the phone. They figured that out a few days later and, after a call, got it straightened out. Anyway, very happy with the phone, but would think twice about purchasing through BB again.

Yes, the camera on this phone is good -- but that's about the only good thing about this phone..
The unit I had was horrendous in Cellular signal. Where my wife's iPhone had signal, the Pixel 6 Pro on Verizon did not! In fact, restarting the phone would bring the signal back for a short period of time but then go away again.
Add to that some sort of strange Google Assistant bug that would randomly call people, or send text messages to people that started with J in your contacts list. I know this will get fixed over time, but good grief - is this a flagship phone and software experience, or is everyone helping beta test what the 6A will be?
The display is noticeably dimmer than the S20, S21. You can turn the brightness up, but the auto adjustment is super aggressive. You have to fight with it so it learns what your preference is..
The placement of the power button is just ridiculous! It's above the volume rocker so you really have to pay attention when you're wanting to turn the phone off, otherwise you'll likely hit the Volume up instead.
Last but not least, the fingerprint sensor is noticeably slower than rival phones like the S20, S21, etc. It's also far less accurate as well. Sure, you can register multiple versions of the same finger, but come on -- for a flagship phone, this is just unacceptable.
Honestly? Wait for the 6A to come out when they've worked out all the issues.

It takes fantastic photos. The phone itself is very smart. It knows how to do stuff that you need it to do so it can do it for you. Like automatically answering spam phone calls for you and hanging up on them if it is really a spam.

Finally the upgrade I've been holding out for. Made the jump from 3xl to 6 pro and this was well worth it. The 4 and 5 never had appeals and appeared worth it at the time, but I can say it was well worth the wait.
