My first Google phone and I love it so far. The feel and look is amazing. It's very large even in my giant hands. Doesn't fit nicely in my pocket. It's been an adjustment. I had a Samsung for the last decade and decided to make the switch. Nothing against Samsung because they have always made great phones. Also couldn't go wrong with the price drop.

I was lucky enough to preorder the phone when it was announced and I couldn't be happier with out. I was nervous about the rounded screen but it isn't nearly as bad as I expected. The phone is a bit slick so I would recommend a case or a Dbrand skin

I love this new pixel. The camera is amazing. Especially the face unblur feature, which is great for pics of kids. I also like the ability to translate full conversations in whatsapp including the responses I type. So much to talk about. Let's just say, I had the top of the line iphone and galaxy devices and I think I'm gonna stay here for a while.

Did not work with Mint Mobile. Even though it says it does through best buy. Phone felt really cool and solid and the camera was awesome but again it didnt work as a cell phone because of an update that made it stop working with Mint Mobile

Lousy back swipe design and overheating problems

The phone overheats with even basic activity like reading emails and browsing normal newspaper websites. The recommendation from the Google support team was to disable 5G and the adaptive screen refresh to reduce heat problems. Made no sense because those features were big factors in my purchase decision. The battery just races down to empty within 10 hours on this device. Although stock Android is excellent, there is a huge problem with the Google implementation of back swipe action which is to swipe left from the right edge, or swipe right from the left edge. This swipe conflicts with Googles own GMail app when reading emails, so I was either deleting emails or going back arbitrarily due to this ridiculous swipe gesture choice. The better choice would have been to use the 3-pill bottom navigation gestures (not navigation buttons) like Samsung phones that work beautifully 100% of the time. A hack was to use another app to simulate bottom gestures and disable the side swipe back button, but that requires showing the huge navigation bar with the big buttons on the bottom of the phone, with no way to hide the button navigation bar. This is lousy design by Google and Android 13. However, the "hold for me" feature is fantastic and that would be most missed as it is not enough of a strength to overcome bad user interface design that makes the device frustrating to use every single time. I returned the phone for a full refund.

    Garbage Product Development!!

While Google spent a lot of time developing cute little features they forgot to focus on the basics. The fundamental requirement that a smartphone lives on is mobile data. So the #1 thing that the phone should be good at is sending and receiving data. My god this phone sucks at that. The modem on this phone is so poor that it sucks the life out of the battery when the cellular signal is even slightly weak. My house is in a weird spot where the Verizon signal is spotty though i live downtown in a reasonably sized city. As a result mobile data connectivity is poor. With my Samsung note ten plus i would get very slow speeds but it never tried so hard that it generated face burning heat. The pixel 6 pro go so hot trying to get connected i could not hold the phone in my hand. It shows that there was not much attention paid to the development of this simple yet most important function of the phone. For that reason I'm calling this phone garbage. They developed a new chip and did a poor job. Hopefully next iteration will be better!! For now my replacement S22+ is working like a charm.

The best phone of the year. Pictures are amazing and voice commands are spot on accurate. Battery life isn't the best but it'll easily last a day or more on a single charge.

Coming from a galaxy S21 Ultra I was disappointed with the phone and overall interface and this could just be my personal preference problem, as I am use to the galaxy one UI of Android. I'd say if you are looking to get this and you are coming from a s21 ultra or even a s21, I dont recommend getting this phone. That said, It does do a good job at matching some performance when swapping between different games and apps.
