Great Pixel Experience without the Price

For the price, you absolutely can't beat the Pixel 6a. Great performance, nice compact size, incredible cameras, solid battery, and all of the great Google-y Pixel-exclusive software goods that come with Android 13. The list is endless. I'd love to see wireless charging and a 90hz display on the next model, but for this price, those aspects are not a deal breaker. This phone is the best deal on Android for anyone on a budget.

This Pixel has amazing camera quality, but lacks the option to turn off the automatic image processing/editing it does on your photos. Great storage space, works fast, and with a good case and screen protector lasts fairly long. Mine is still running strong. Sometimes, when it's pointed at a speaker or monitor, a beeping/clicking noise starts playing. I think some kind of signal is constantly going out that isn't typical of other phones I've used.

I bought this phone about 2 years ago now, and I’ve enjoyed using it throughout all this time. It has plenty of storage for my use, and the cameras are honestly really good for the price. The battery life is also really good. If it’s a lighter day, it’ll last me an entire day and maybe some more for the next. The software support has also been great, and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a good phone that, although it’s a few years old now, has a good display, great cameras, and a solid battery life.

Pixel power at a reasonable price!

The Pixel 6a is a great option for a powerful phone with a decent camera and a reasonable price point. I was amazed that the Pixel 6a had a lot of the features of the Pixel 6 phone as the build quality and smoothness felt almost the same. The camera takes great pictures and I used it to take amazing pictures at the Tonto National Forest. The software features are what sets the Pixel line apart from other phones as you can use features like "Hold for Me" which waits in line for you on toll free calls and the "Magic Eraser" & "Real Tone" features in the camera software. The phone does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack nor does it come with a charger but it does include a charging cable and a sim ejection tool. The battery life was ok and lasted me through the day but you may need to charge it mid-day if your day is busy or turn on the battery saving mode to help you squeeze out some more battery life. The display is nice and bright and the phone also has stereo speakers with one on the front top of the phone and the other on the bottom edge together they produced a good sound experience. Overall I'm very pleased with the Google Pixel 6a and have no qualms about recommending it to someone looking for a great overall phone on a budget.

Loving the phone so far. Had a LG V40 with a 6.4" screen. I love the 6.1" better, easier to use one handed. It's an amazing phone for the price (I paid $299). Screen looks and performs good. It also takes great pictures.
It doesn't have the fastest fingerprint sensor but works good enough for me. It also doesn't have wireless charging but I never used that feature on my old phone.
For a midrange phone it is amazing and well worth it at $299 right now.

All together great!
Taking Google’s Pixel 6a for a test drive after extensively using the Pixel 6 as my daily-driver for the past 9 months was a comfortable, smooth ride – unsurprisingly.
Right out of the box, the smaller form-factor and lighter weight immediately relieved my palm of the arduous heft that is now common to today’s flagship phablets from the big three handheld device manufacturers. Compared to the Pixel 6, the 6a feels much more natural to handle and easier to navigate, as opposed to the ‘top-heavy’ feeling from the larger and longer screens associated with the top-tier premium smartphones.
The lack of bulk comes at a small price in the reduced megapixel camera, lesser RAM, and smaller storage; but make no mistake, this phone does almost everything its older, more powerful, bigger brothers can do.
Snappy and as responsive as you’d expect Google’s newest flagship line to perform. Out of the package, the new G2 Tensor chip paired with the Android 12 operating system, stands to outperform almost every competitor’s phone in the equivalent price-range. As of this review, after the initial setup, a notification popped up to upgrade to the latest operating system: Android 13.
The only feature that I actually do miss in this iteration, is the ability to charge the device wirelessly. Not a big issue for some, though many of my chargers, including my nightly charging stand, are wireless. This is due to the lack of a glass back, of which, both of the other Pixel’s in the 6a’s generation contain. This, however, leads to the lighter weight and increased portability of this incredibly capable smartphone.
The battery life seems to be an improvement over the more memory intensive models out there, and I routinely get a full day of regular usage, winding down to around 55% just before bedtime, despite having a smaller milliamp/hour capacity.
All in all, a great choice, and the perfect price-point for the opportunity to step into this generation’s line-up of exceptional Pixel smartphones.

Spectacular device. You get a lot of bang for your buck with the 6a. No lags or stutters like how android devices used to be in this price range. Has all the internals of the regular pixel 6 high end models minus the glass body and extra camera lens. Googles pure android software, fantastic camera, and 3/4 yrs of direct updates. You can't go wrong. Especially if you don't need "the best". Then again that's all relative to you. Either way this device is a great app rounder and you won't be disappointed!

This phone strikes the perfect balance between affordability and premium features, making it a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a reliable and high-performing device.
One of the standout features for me has been the camera quality. The Pixel 6a's camera consistently delivers stunning photos and captures moments with exceptional clarity. The array of camera features and modes add versatility to my photography, making it a joy to use in various scenarios.
The battery life is commendable, easily lasting me through a full day of regular use. The fast-charging capability is a lifesaver when I need to top up quickly, providing a significant convenience factor in my daily routine.

I've been using the Google Pixel 6a with 128GB of storage for a solid year now, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in many aspects. This smartphone has truly become an integral part of my daily life, offering a seamless and enjoyable experience.
The camera quality on the Pixel 6a is nothing short of impressive. The 12MP main camera consistently captures vivid and detailed photos in various lighting conditions. The night mode is a standout feature, delivering stunning low-light shots without the need for additional equipment. The 8MP front camera is equally impressive, ensuring my selfies always look sharp and clear.
One of the standout features for me has been the battery life. Even after a year of use, the Pixel 6a manages to hold its own, easily lasting me through a full day of moderate to heavy usage. The adaptive battery technology ensures efficient power management, and the fast-charging capability is a lifesaver when I need a quick top-up.
While the Pixel 6a has been an overall fantastic experience, it's essential to note that like any device, it's not entirely flawless. Occasionally, I've noticed minor software glitches or app crashes, but these are infrequent and usually addressed with software updates from Google.

The camera on this cellphone is excellent. Takes great quality pictures and videos. The battery is long life. Can go a day without having to charge. Very easy to use this phone for texting and calls. What I like most about this phone is how features such as internet, airplane mode, Bluetooth can be displayed on screen of phone instead of at top of phone. This is a excellent phone to purchase for anyone that loves to take pictures.

Coming from someone who buys and sales phones like no tomorrow, for $299 this was a steal. I prefer Samsung phones but the performance on this is amazing i just had to leave a review. The phone performs as good as my flip 4 which retails for 999, and has this year's flagship Android processor in it the snapdragon 8 plus gen 1. I was amazed by how fast apps opened. Fingerprint isn't the best but it is decent to good, and it's a plus being able to use it with a tempered glass screen protector compared to my s22 ultra which only worked with film/tpu protectors and I hated the curved screen on the s22 ultra. Once it finally learns your usage after a few days battery is also great, even better than my iPhone 13 and most Android phones which is a positive. Even with only 6gb ram it performs as good as if it has more. Camera is good too (the process that occurs after the picture is taken really helps the quality). There really aren't any negatives to this phone except slower charging than most other phones at 18watts, no wireless charging, and no other storage option besides 128gb (unless you pay for could storage).

The Google Pixel 6a, from my perspective, is an impressive mid-range device. Its vibrant display and smooth performance align with my preferences. The camera system captures quality moments. While the design is compact, the absence of expandable storage could be a limitation. Overall, it suits my needs for a balanced smartphone experience.

Compact! Compact! Just like iPhone SE. Love it. It goes into my pocket without feeling heaviness like gigantic phablet smartphone. It does everything like top notch smartphone and has water resistant feature. It's got great camera performance at day or night time. Low light photo is amazing. No blurry pictures.
How it comes out perfect pictures even at low light. I was still moving and shaking when taking pictures. It doesn't have big lens like Google pixel 6pro or 6. It does a great job everyway. Screen is so bright at sunny day. I have to reduce the brightness just to increase my battery life. Battery life is even better than any other phone. I didn't even charge the phone since I bought it and still 56 percent. Wow amazing. Mobile connection is great, no loose of signals I just don't understand why people complaining about it. Maybe they have to change their carriers. Overall I gave it 5 stars. And I will give 6 stars of it's got 50mp rear camera. Anyway I don't see any difference at alllll. Dony worry, just buy it and enjoy. You won't regret. Oh, forgot to tell you about the firmware update, they will give you the latest updates when it's available. That's the most important in smartphone performance and security you get from Google.
Thanks to best buy, they just send me a promotional gift card. It was a great deal if you buy now.

However I wouldn't compare it to the highest end Galaxy or iPhone. It has the processor of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro so it'll play games quite nicely and do any photo and video editing very quickly, but the cameras wonr compare to a $1000+ phone, but definitely has the best camera in the under $500 price. I will say however it has the best point-and-shoot camera even compared to said higher end phones.
It does sacrifice certain high end features like a high refresh rate, no wireless charging, IP67 water resistance instead of IP68, and a plastic back instead of glass. (Which I prefer as plastic is more durable than glass)
I'd say this is best for people wanting a phone with a great camera and processor without spending a whole lot of money. That and Google promises 5 years of security patches (With 3 years of Android OS updates) which is unheard of with a phone at this price.

The BEST phone in this price range. The only feature I would find missing is probably the lack of a screen with higher refresh rate, but that's only when I see such a phone next to the pixel 6a. The battery lasts a day but gotta be a little careful towards the end. No complaints with performance. Camera is great too.
