I recently upgraded from the Pixel 6 Pro to the Pixel 7 Pro and I must say its a refinement upgrade. Google was able to finally learn from the methodologies available in design and continuous improvement. The Pixel 7 Pro is a update of the small things that customers were not happy about the previous phone model. Battery life is better, the display looks flawless and the candy camera bar looks elegant. I am pleased with the phone and looking forward on next years models.

Pixel 7 Pro, What You Need To Know

The Pixel 7 Pro is the latest flagship phone from Google. After using this phone for 8 months here are my thoughts. Pros: -Cameras. The absolute best point and shoot smartphone camera you can get. I've used pretty much every phone and you won't get better photos than this. Just try to take a photo of a pet or one of your kids moving around and you will see the difference! This year they've added a 5x optical zoom lens that zooms in up to 30x as well as a macro camera mode. I love using both of these modes and you only get them on the 7 Pro and not the regular 7. - Android as Google intended it. Absolutely no bloatware on this phone like you get with some other companies(Samsung I'm looking at you!). You also get updates to Android as soon as they are released. - Connectivity. I have no issues picking up signal around town. This was an issue with the 6 series and Google upgraded to a new modem for the 7 series that fixed the connectivity issues. Cons: - Tensor G2. Tensor went to Samsung to make their processors for the Pixel line and they just aren't up to the level of the latest Snapdragon flagship chips like the 8 Gen 2. - Thermals. This phone gets hot! It generally stays warm when doing anything on it, but it feels on fire if you try to use it while it's charging. - Charging speeds. Charging is capped at 23 watts. This is really slow in 2023 when compared to the latest Samsung S23 Ultra that can charge at 45 watts or the OnePlus 11 that can charge at 100 watts. Overall I stick with the Google Pixel as my main phone thanks to stock Android with no bloat and the amazing cameras that are unbeatable, but I'm really hoping the Tensor G3 in the Pixel 8 Pro is a large improvement for processor efficiency that can compete more with the latest and greatest from Snapdragon.

My experience switching from a Pixel 4a 5g to this phone was seamless. The included USB-C transfer cable was very helpful with the transfer. The battery lasts all day and the camera is absolutely amazing! The only downside is that charging is incredibly slow using anything other than a PD charger... oh and Google didn't bother to include a PD charger, so be prepared to spend extra money. Read the reviews and tips/tricks for this phone. The display is set to 1080 by default and can be increased by changing a setting manually... but I did not notice a difference with the higher resolution. I would never use a phone this expensive without a case or screen protector. I removed the case to take the photos, but they show the front and rear protectors.

After enduring what seemed like the longest bad experience Google had to offer with the pixel 6 pro, I was done. Over it completely. I had 5 pixel 6 pro devices and had neverending issues with overheating, awful battery, and the motherboards going out on them due to a faulty power button. I looked to other android devices, bought them, used them. Then saw a leaked review of this device, from a fellow android purist such as myself.. This shows the pixel 7 pro was not simply an incremental upgrade, but a substantial upgrade. So far, had since launcher, this is the device I have been waiting for. The camera is stellar, zoom is amazing, the battery life is amazing, and the build quality is real and not like the 6 series which imo was a child's toy. A Google experiment gone bad. Forced to release far before being ready. Google has done it finally.

Everything that was wrong with the Pixel 6 Pro last year such as battery life, poor optimization, a terrible fingerprint scanner, and lack of camera features -- have all been refined here on the Pixel 7 Pro. Battery life is much better, however charging still seems to be much slower than the competition and you kind of have to babysit the phone with a charger nearby throughout the day. The screen gets plenty bright and the camera is unhinged as the best Android smartphone. The new macro mode is absolutely amazing and very useful. The speakers also got an upgrade. Overall I wouldn't spend more than $100 on this if you already have the Pixel 6 Pro but if you're coming from a much older Android phone or Pixel, it's worth the price and constantly on sale.

I have been curious about the Pixel since the 6 came out and have always had iphone… majority of the time…. I have the 13 Pro Max and the Pixel 7 Pro blows it out of the water with the camera…. The camera is AMAZING….. pictures are super clear and colors are vibrant…. The white is absolutely stunning…. I bought it Open Box -Excellent and it was practically brand new! I’m loving it! It’s snappy and fast…. Def will be keeping this android! The only thing I didn’t like was how Best Buy packaged the item… it wasn’t in a box it with bubble wrap….. it was in one of those parcel plastic bags (will show in pictures)… you could obviously tell it was a phone with you picked it up…. It could have easily been stolen…. Please please be cautious when order luckily I had delivery scheduled for my day off

The Google Pixel 7 Pro is, in my opinion, the best Android phone you can get today. I upgraded from a Pixel 6 Pro because Best Buy had a great trade-in and preorder offer which effectively cut the cost of the phone to less than $200 so it was well worth it for the refinements that were made on this phone. It's fast, has a great camera, and has pretty good battery life. It's kind of big if you're upgrading from small phone, but having made a jump from a small to a large phone myself last year, I quickly got used to it and, while I enjoy the form factor of smaller phones, I don't think I would be able to go back.

I like the phone, though it's slightly more polished pixel 6 pro, that I traded in. The zoom transition between cameras is nice feature, but far from being unnoticeable, barely using it because of that. The 5x zoom is cool upgrade, the micro focus another great improvement. Battery life good, no complaints. The first day, when I setup the phone it got bit warm, but then no heating issues, maybe unpacking all the packages.. No idea, since it's processor actually being busy a lot at first day. Overall look and feel, I like the new metal bar more, though pixel 6 pro flat glass only surface way easier to wipe. I noticed slight change in ringtone sound, personally I prefer the 6 pro speaker sound. So far a great phone, from those, which supports all variety of local carriers. Still minor, and not always accuring there and there glitches, but mostly great experience. Though I haven't seen yet an smart phone without any. Not apple, not android .. Display is great, I notice the difference between the full resolution and default lower, mostly on fonts, though not sure if I like one resolution over another, both are great, smooth for the everyday use Overall solid phone and what I like the most, highly customizable, except the unhidable annoying Google search bar on oem launcher :,-)

The pixel 7 pro does everything the pixel 6 pro does but better & faster, fingerprint reader is faster, screen is brighter and less curvy at the edges, the quality of the built feels more premium, battery is better and you get nice additions such as the face unlock (which is not as good as what the pixel 4 was, but still works pretty good) and unblur photos feature. The tensor g2 chip really stands out in the photo department, the photos are just amazing and if easier and faster to take them even in night mode. If you like incremental upgrades and can spare the money then the upgrade is worth it.

I bought this cell phone specifically for its camera and it did not disappoint. Our family recently went on a 2 week vacation by car through 20 states, with sites including New Orleans, Hot Springs, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, the Badlands and Smoky Mts. My pictures couldn't be better had a used my Nikon. The battery life lasted all day and reception was crisp and clear even in remote areas. Highly recommend it.

Absolutely LOVE my Pixel 7 Pro. I've had Samsung phones for over a decade, so I was slightly hesitant to switch, but it was SO easy, everything transfered in just a few minutes. The picture quality is unreal. That's the whole reason I switched, was to check out the camera, and it does NOT disappoint!! The magic eraser is cool too, but gets a touch wonky if you're trying to erase too much... But I don't know why you'd be doing that anyways, it works and it's really cool. I have no complaints with this phone, it's a great size, sound quality is better than or equal to my Samsung and the Bluetooth pairing is so much quicker too. My Fitbit doesn't disconnect from it every other hour, and my car syncs up so much faster. Hands down, it's a GREAT phone with a GREAT camera. Highly recommend.

I was an iPhone user for a long, long time, but made the switch back to Android for the freedom the platform provides shortly after the Pixel 6 Pro dropped. Honestly I didn't think Pixel phones could get much better than the Pixel 6 Pro, but the Pixel 7 Pro dropped and so did my jaw. This phone is incredible. The screen is buttery smooth. Some changes in the wireless chipset have yielded a better battery life AND MUCH stronger cellular connectivity on the the Pixel 7 series. The camera, though...WHEW. If you are wondering how to get a mobile phone with a mind-blowing camera at a STUPENDOUS price, this is it. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, just go straight to Best Buy and pick up this amazing device. Google knocked it out of the park, and I always recommend folks buy their Pixel phones from Best Buy because their return policy is reasonable and shipments are blazing fast. (I was not, by the way, paid to write this. Just a super enthusiastic user of the PIxel devices!)

I bought the Google Pixel 7 Pro after having the Samsung S22 Ultra. The Samsung was a great phone but I found it had too much bloatware and I never used the stylus that came with it. I like this phone because it is stock Android with no company added stuff. I have been using this almost one month and I really love the camera on this and recently went to the Finger Lakes and took some great photos which I will attach. If you want a simple Android stock phone but with great features, then I would get this.

Owning an iPhone 14 Pro, bought this as my secondary phone and I must say it's a smooth experience so far. Camera is one big advantage of pixel and it gives stunning results in most conditions. Only telephoto lens was a bit downside but AI does its magic in enhancing the image quality. Screen is fluid with 120hz panel but I personally felt that curved display is not that friendly for swiping from the edge of the screen to go back and also swiping through photos in google photos app is not that great as most of the time I need to swipe perfect horizontally for switching between photos. Again it may be my personal opinion and nonetheless its best android phone in this price segment

Google's Pixel 7 Pro is a fantastic phone that excels in one area: photography. The camera system is exceptional, capturing stunning shots in various lighting conditions. The computational photography features, like Night Sight and Magic Eraser, are a game-changer. However, the battery life could be better, and the design might feel a bit generic compared to some competitors. Overall, if photography is your top priority, the Pixel 7 Pro is a solid choice.
