This phone is a total let down. They moved to fingerprint to the screen of the phone. The issue is that it only works about 20% of the time or less. The swipe up gesture that I use to move between screen is also not reliable. The battery is worse than my 4a phone that was over 3yrs old. The reception is worse. The phone gets really hot and can't even charge when using as GPS on a hot day

Sudden battery discharges

Now the battery suddenly dies; goes from 60% to 0% in less than a minute. I looked this symptom up on the web and learned that other people are seeing the exact same symptom. Warranty is 12 months. I hope Google will acknowledge this is a design flaw. But I'm not sure I want another one; this was my first Google phone, and the reason I purchased it was I wanted a high quality phone. Am very disappointed in Google.

Plus it was on sale so, that made it even more of a great deal. However, the phone was unable to read and detect my international/roaming sim card. I tried everything I could find online to troubleshoot but I was unsuccessful. I also read some posts that even local (US) sim cards are having issues. It was just frustrating that I had to shell out $45 of restocking fee even if I was having issue with the phone itself.

The photos that did come clear were amazing. After about 11 months, I started getting battery quality issues. I am disappointed at the quality of the phone.

Very Disappointed!

I had NO signal in my home even though I have an individual cell booster there. The only place there was a signal was in the T-Mobile store! I had to pay a restocking fee to Best Buy even though the phone was defective. My daughter in law had the same phone with the same problem. I purchased a OnePlus from OnePlus and am very pleased with it.

Not what I expected

The pixel 7a would not allow me to install some apps, after researching this issue, I leaned that only 64 but apps compatible with the pixel. Si muy solar generator app could not be installed. Another problem is that the pixel did not allow dual Bluetooth earphones connection, that means you only can connect one Bluetooth device at the time. I ended up returning the pixel and got a Samsung A54. Huge difference, screen is better, dual Bluetooth connection and a lot of customization. Also I was able to install all applications without any limitations.

When I got to the store they gave me a used-good condition pixel 7a. There was a few scratches on the screen and a dent on the top of the phone. Fortunately it seems to work fine. Make sure you double check the quality of the phone before you leave the store. I didn't have time to return it or swap it out so I was stuck with it.

The worst battery life I've experienced since 2019

The phone is great, but I've used Pixel 6A and now 7A and Tensor chips and the modems are horrible. The battery life is like my S9, which is a 2018/2019 phone. If you work at home all day and don't use your phone, then it's a good phone at the cost of your battery health for charges. But for most people you'll be sorely disappointed because the battery is so bad. I returned this phone and am temporarily using a scratched screen 6A. 6A, while subpar battery life, is better than the 7A. Sheesh what a bad run of phones from Google. I hate it this 6A too.

Nice looking phone; poor battery life & connection

The reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is because the cameras take excellent pictures even in low light, and the user interface is beautiful.
