Upgraded from a Moto G7 and this phone is much, much faster. Have not run into any deal breaking issues. Only gave it 3 stars because it charges very slowly. Takes about 2 hours to get to full charge. My old Moto G7 would charge to full in about 45 minutes. Also the UI truncates the name of apps on your home screen. Any app with a name longer than 7 letters just shows the first 7 letters followed by ... Very poor design decision especially since there is plenty of room to wrap the text. Phone gets hot in more intensive apps but doesn't seem to affect performance. Not too much of an issue once you put a case on it.

Nice screen, quick speed and great camera. Terrible battery life which requires at least 1 extra charge each day. I've been told it "learns" to save battery life but after a month I still have to make time to charge. I'd probably trade it for something else if I could.

This phone is disappointing after having a pixel 4a for several years. Google went from the index finger unlock, to the thumb screen unlock like everyone else. It's annoying at best. It takes several tries especially after installing a screen protector which you should do. And I dislike the removal of the aux port. I understand as tech advances that you have to give up features to fit in a small form factor. But please stop giving up the simple things. I want my phone to be basic, small, and be good at the simple things. When I am getting a phone call, I shouldn't have to fumble with perfect finger swipes to answer, it should be easy. I wish engineers would go back to the basics and make phones be phones first, then with what's left, add features and fluff. The finger unlock will frustrate you on this phone. I cannot recommend this phone for other reasons as well, but this is a big one. Pass on this phone.

I upgraded from the 4a and I'm not impressed. The camera is good and the battery life is better than my 4a which was dying. But the fingerprint reader doesn't work half the time and the screen isn't always responsive to touches and swiping.

I like the phone overall. Wifi calling works well at my house, app store works well, so does the fingerprint scanner. Overall the phone is very functional. Downsides, I managed to crack the glass the day after I bought it after a short fall to soft ground. It's also so slippery that it will slide off the edge of a table or dresser it's left unattended on. Battery life just ok. Would recommend but ONLY in a good case with screen protector.

Will keep this very short: The Tensor chip is hurting the effort Google is putting in with their phones. I actually liked this a lot, and the PPI on the phone made it very enjoyable to view things on screen. The camera was also phenomenal. Battery life is still a problem with the Tensor chip and so is heat build up. This was a fun try by Google, but they're just not there yet. I really hope they can either perfect Tensor or re-establish their relationship with Qualcomm. Would have made more sense to develope a specialty chip with a 5nm chipset. If they took the hit lowering prices despite Qualcomm costing them more money, they'd more than make up for it.

It takes great pictures, the battery is decent, and the screen quality is vibrant, but the call quality isn't very good. It cuts in and out, so it can be difficult just carrying on a regular conversation.

    Our First Pixel Disappointment

We've owned Pixels from the start and have had great experiences across the board until this phone. About 6 months in, the phone basically bricked with a corrupted motherboard. Thankfully it was still under warranty and the motherboard was replaced but obviously being without your primary phone for multiple days is not ideal. Since we got it back, my wife has had performance issues and we are finally replacing it on a trade-in deal with Google, less than a year after purchasing it.

Very intuitive and user friendly phone. Great camera and screen. The phone is light weight and the size is perfect for smaller hands. Unfortunately, with the smaller size comes a smaller battery that can't make it through the day even with very careful moderated use. If battery life is important to you, this isn't the right pick unless you don't mind charging it during the day. If it weren't for that issue, I'd give the phone five stars as everything else is excellent.

Good camera quality. I've had trouble with giving apps permissions. Maybe I'm biased... I'm a galaxy girl and got this to replace my Note 20 and I liked my Note much better. A lot of people seem to like Pixels, as for me I don't think I'll buy another.

I just bought the phone a week ago and already having issues with the phone. I noticed while I was downloading my backup from the old phone, the new pixel one was heating up! Later I noticed whenever I m using the phone for more than 20 mins the pixel phone is heating up. Other than this, the phone is good! Has anyone else noticed this issue?

This is a decent phone, it's pretty powerful. But I find it's battery life is not as good as some of its similar mid-range competition. I have previously used Motorola and Samsung and was always able to get my phone to last all day. This phone does not, unless I put it into battery saver mode.
