Pixel 8 phone was for my husband - he really likes the phone as it is a step up from his old Moto G7. The Pixel 8 holds a charge longer than the previous phone. Using it was fairly easy as he's had android phones before. The Pixel 8 is also 5G which is also a step up in performance.

Camera is very good. Strong point is NO bloatware. Sharp screen and the size fits me: large enough to let my fingers type but small enough to slip in a shirt pocket.

So Google pixel 8 has all the latest Google goodness without any bloatware. I get 2 days worth of battery life and I chose this phone for its size. It fits into my running utility belt

Overall has been a great phone. Everything is fast and the camera lives up to the hype. I have had battery issues twice now, where the battery heated up and quickly drained itself. I couldn't tell what caused this, and it hasn't happened since. So far I have had no connection issues on or off wifi. I am hopeful that battery issues will be patched in the future and won't be a recurring problem. Usually, I get a full day of battery with no problem, having a screen on time of over six hours. Customization is nice, however, you can't move the Google search bar from the bottom unless you use a third-party launcher. I got used to this, but it did throw me off at first. Overall, I would recommend this device to anyone interested in an Android phone, for the money it is a great deal.

Bought this for my brother on a Black Friday deal; and this is his first Google Pixel phone and he loved it! He was worried if he would be able to use it internationally or not, but he had no issues at all. He loves the camera, its battery life, and lots of other features; that too at a very good price. Good buy!

The phone is really good with great performance, display, and sound quality. The only downside is the lack of a native call recording feature, which I miss. Other than that, everything works smoothly, and I'm very happy with the product.

I've been using this phone for the past 20 days now and am impressed with its camera and battery. I haven't faced any lags/ phone hangs yet. However, I feel that the Phone's display can be made more crisp.

This phone has been a big improvement from the Pixel 7 in nearly every aspect. Here is a list of the improvements over the 7: - Camera: both cameras are improved in the level of detail. The video looks better anhas less artifacting. And the addition of a macro lense mode is a really welcome (and functional) addition. - Face unlock! The fingerprint reader is the same as the 7, so it's mediocre. Being able to unlock using my face for all possible biometric access methods. Seriously, if nothing else changed from the 7 to the 8, this would be worth it. - Smaller (slightly) phone -- they shrunk the size of the phone and rounded the edges more. Just makes the phone feel more comfortable in-hand. - Screen -- 120 hz screen refresh and the improved clarity, color, and brightness of the screen make this the 2nd most update welcome change over the 7 I did mention one thing which knocked the phone down from a 5 to a 4 and it's the cellular (5G especially) reception. With the 7, I had really reliable and strong 5G signal in most of area I live. I didn't have handoff issues, and I consistently got 5GUC (TMobile). With the 8, it seems like the modem in the phone took a step back to the issues that the Pixel 6 were purported to have. I don't know if the issue is just the phone since it has the same modem as the 7, so perhaps it's in conjunction with Android 14 and the new hardware. I'm thinking this may be resolved with software in the future, but I was disappointed to see the network connection struggling in areas where it was strong with my 7. If you are away from wifi, you can expect a reduced battery life as well because the phone is struggling with getting a consistent signal. Overall I'm still mostly satisfied, and this could become my favorite Pixel of all time if they can fix the reception issues.

My only pick for a phone is Pixel, and I was concerned that my previous phone wouldn't be matched by a new one. How wrong I was. The Pixel 8 is an incredible model with an incredibly affordable price. Pics are, as with my last Pixel, so clear. Battery lasts so long that sometimes I forget that I need to charge. Love, love, love my Pixel

I received my Pixel 8 when it came out in October 2023 and am still happy with it 10 months later. It is pretty fast, charges at a good clip and works great on the Pixel stand to charge overnight. It is smaller in size and weighs a little less than the Pixel 7, and that was main reason I upgraded after a year- it has made a big difference in being able to comfortably use the phone all day (whether I should or not.)

Juan, Ray and the whole front desk team were excellent. I came in last Friday night to buy a new phone because my old one was having trouble charging. I needed the new phone for work early the next day. I came into the store around 9pm and was unsure if I would get what I was looking for. I enjoyed using my pixel 6 so I decided to upgrade on the same brand to a pixel 8. I saw online there was a promotion going on where the price was $499. I asked if that phone was in stock and the front desk team helped me find just what I was looking for. I explained my issue with the old phone and they offered a trade-in. I went forward with it as they said they could apply the credit to my new phone. Unfortunately I didn't have my driver's license on me that night so I was told I could come back in tomorrow or Sunday to apply the credit to the new phone, while still purchasing the pixel 8 then and there. I went to work the next day and the new phone worked great, had high speeds, and everything got transferred from my old pixel. I went back in Sunday morning to see if I could repurchase the new phone with the applied credit from the trade-in for the old pixel. I was told that Sunday morning the price for the phone went back up to $699, and I couldn't go forward with the return to add the credit. Juan, the store manager, let me know the reasoning behind it, and also explained that a possible option would be if I was a Best buy membership holder I could return the phone, wait until the price went back down, and repurchase it with the added $80 discount then. I appreciated his advice, but decided that $200 off was already a substantial discount and was overall happy with the purchase. I did go forward and trade-in the phone and still received the $80 credit, which I used to purchase a phone case the front desk team helped me find. Outstanding customer service, great team, upper management is definitely running this store with excellence!

Pixels were usually considered best phones for a clean Andriod experience. Pixel 8 takes it further and is probably one of the best smartphones with great camera, clean OS, regular software updates, lots of helpful/smart features and overall very well rounded software-hardware tech. I have been a pixel user for a couple of years now, have had issues here and there since the Pixels started to use their own Tensor chips but every feature seems to be getting better and better inching towards optimum performance. Highly recommend.
