Google Pixel 8
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first Google pixel I have gotten. I'm own Samsung phones for the longest. I'm so grateful for my purchase on my pixel 8. It has so many features. The camera quality is great. The color on the pictures is very colorful. I'm still to figure out all the features. Things just start coming up on new features.

Love Google Pixel!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this phone! My first Google Pixel, and I am really glad I made the switch. My adult grandson, who is a freaking genius (according to his PhD, not according to me) has been using a Google Pixel for several years and recommended it to me. I figure he can't be wrong! I have had it for 5 months and I am totally happy with it!

Pixel 8
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Probably the best android phone out there, the new tensor chip does a good job in making the daily use of the phone smooth. The AI capabilities of Google are just wow, it does take time but really beautiful results! The camera is outstanding as expected, could have done a better job in zoom feature/lens. The battery level could have been better, it lasts for about 7/8hrs with continuous usuage. Pixel again delivers!

Google does it again type ish
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been in using pixel phones for the last 4-5 years and it just keeps getting better. No technology comes without any issues, but Google keeps them to a minimum with this product. So far this phone has been very reliable and overall a seamless experience. As always, camera is phenomenal

||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is very fast. It takes good pictures.i like having all of my Google features easily accessible. I've recommended this phone to friends and family. The egg picture was taken with this phone and the drink picture is from a Motorola razr flip. If nice looking photos are important to you this phone is an excellent choice

The best premium android phone.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To me, the non-Pro version is the best considering price. The cameras are great, the screen and speakers are upgraded in a very good way, battery life is average. Things I dislike are the slipperiness of the phone and the half-baked AI features. 7 years of software support is a nice bonus.

Pixel 8 Compact beauty everything inside
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked this phone and especially it's user friendly interface, sleek design, quality display.Especially it's Google support function and it's responsiveness to detect auto spams calls make it more worthy for a professional like me who is not a tech guy at all.Only one area of improvemnet is display size of touch screen keyboard which I am sure is much better in pixel 8 pro. In same price range it's a great option except the charger :).It's an area of improvemnet otherwise battery life is low and charging time high if you buy any charger from local market as company doesn't specify any specific charger

The Perfect Bang for you Buck Smart Phone
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded to the Google Pixel 8 with 128GB of storage, and I am really impressed with the smartphone experience Google offers. From its design to performance and camera capabilities, the Pixel 8 has exceeded my expectations in every way, making it one of the best smartphones I’ve owned. The Pixel 8's design is sleek with a modern look. Its slim profile and premium materials not only make it aesthetically pleasing but also very comfortable to hold. Where some smartphones have almost gotten too big. The Pixel 8 in my opinion, is the ideal size phone and fits perfectly in all my pants pockets. The attention to detail is there, and the phone feels incredibly well-built. The placement of buttons and fingerprint sensor is intuitive, in that they are easy to reach and enhances the overall user experience. The 6.2” OLED display on the Pixel 8 is stunning. The 1080x2400 resolution makes the colors vibrant, and the sharpness is on point. Whether it's watching videos, scrolling social media, or playing games, the display makes everything pop. The 120Hz high refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling and pinpoint responsiveness, making every interaction with the phone feel seamless. The display itself comes equipped with Gorilla Glass 7 which is one of the most durable glass screens on the market, and because of this I don't feel the need to put a screen protector on it compared to other phones on the market. (That being said I will still be putting a case on the phone, to protect the corners and the back glass). The Pixel 8 is equipped with Google’s powerful Tensor G3 processor and paired with 8GB of RAM, which allows the Pixel 8 to deliver lightning-fast performance. This makes multitasking a breeze, where I can pull up a youtube video, leave the app and it will still be playing in a popup video player while in a different app on the screen. This phone handles everything I throw at it with ease, providing a snappy and responsive user experience. The Pixel 8 runs on Android 14, and the experience is fluid and for the most part bloatware-free , with some random google owned apps like Fitbit. The integration of Google services is seamless, and the phone receives timely updates and security patches. The addition of new features, such as gestures, face unlock and other customization options enhances the overall usability, making the phone a joy to use. An under the radar addition to the Pixel 8 phone is the new Wi-Fi 7 chip allowing for even faster wireless speeds when connected to Wi-Fi. At the moment of writing this, there are not many affordable Wi-Fi 7 routers available to the average consumer. That being said, the addition of Wi-Fi 7, is great foresight for future proofing the phone as Wi-Fi 7 becomes more affordable, allowing the customer to be able to get the fastest speeds. At home I’m currently using a Wi-Fi 6e router and was able to get speeds over 600 Mbps, which is the fastest I’ve personally been able to get over my 6G network on a wireless device. Google has promised up to 7 years of software support for the Pixel 8, giving you peace of mind knowing that your phone will not slowly be phased out or slowed down as newer phones come out which is huge. One thing that can not be understated enough is the integration of other Google software and apps. If you have a gmail email and use any of the other Google services, the integration of those is seamless, just by simply logging in with your gmail account and all of your workbooks and spreadsheets from your google docs and sheets are there on your phone. Security nowadays is more important than ever with people’s data and information getting stolen everyday and with the Pixel 8, Google has added their own VPN (Virtual Private Network) where you can enable the VPN in the settings to be on while using your mobile network, just adding that additional peace of mind for you. Do note that when using a VPN your data speeds will not be at their full potential, that being said I was very shocked to see that while using Google’s VPN I was still able to get speeds of 295Mbps on downloads, which is plenty fast for what I’m doing on my phone. The camera on the Pixel 8 is the star of the phone and is nothing short of exceptional. Google’s expertise in computational photography paired with intuitive AI truly shines here. The new Main Wide camera lens comes in at 50MP and allows you to shoot videos at 4K @ 24,30, at 60FPS and let me tell you it takes some of the best pictures I’ve ever seen on a phone. Then there is also the Ultra Wide lens that is a 12MP with Auto-Focus and allows photos and videos to be shot at 125 degrees which is 22% larger FOV than the past Pixel 7 phone. The photos captured are incredibly detailed, with natural colors and excellent dynamic range. The low-light performance is phenomenal, capturing clear and well-exposed shots even in challenging lighting conditions and great for night time shots. The various camera modes and AI enhancements that Google has implemented is truly industry leading with their “Best Take” feature that will use AI to fix photos where someone blinked or is not looking at the camera in the picture and the AI will find that person's face and in replace it with a better headshot of that person and it's truly magic how seamless and fast it works. The “Magic Editor'' feature powered by Google’s Generative AI-Powered photo editor, is truly mind blowing, in that it's like instant photoshop where it has the ability to edit out things in the background like random people in front of a monument and make it seem like they were never there. When it comes to shooting videos, audio can kind of be tricky, and we’ve all had this problem at one point, where you are filming a video and then you go to play back the video and you unfortunately hear yourself breathing deeply in the background and just ruining the video and causing you to reshoot the video. This problem is now gone with the “Audio Magic Eraser”. Now with the power of AI, it can go in and remove your heavy breathing along with other sounds like traffic, wind, and birds chirping. This is a great feature where you don't ever have to worry about having to reshoot a video because of bad audio. The battery life on the Pixel 8 is reliable with a 4575mAh battery. With moderate usage, I can easily get through a full day without worrying about running out of power. The fast charging capabilities ensure that I can quickly top up the battery when needed, providing convenience for busy days. Overall, the Google Pixel 8 128GB phone offers a great experience. Its impressive design, stunning display, powerful performance, outstanding camera capabilities, reliable battery life, and clean software make it a top-tier smartphone in the market. Whether you enjoy photography, a multitasker, or someone who simply appreciates a smooth and reliable smartphone experience, the Pixel 8 is a great choice.

Bubbles underneath the screen not advertised! Run!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I traded in an iPhone 13 mini and some cash for this Pixel. I thought I was getting a better phone by it being newer and from google. Well, I was wrong. I got the phone with the bubbles underneath the screen. A well known problem Google and major tech reviewers have dismissed. The phone’s display was laggier too, I believe because the pixel’s OS is always lagging and struggling to be fluid. I sent an email to google and they tried to let me know that the bubbles underneath the screen were not covered by the warranty, I had to write a second email so they would re consider their opinion, and they agreed to send me a new replacement. Now I’m debating wether or not I should keep it. Pixel OS is not reliable. I lost major data once, when there was a bug affecting pixels with more than one user. I always use two users since I use dual sims for separate accounts. The camera is not what it use to be. Pixel 3 was the perfect pixel, the pixel 8 definitely doesn’t feel it is 5 generations ahead. It is even slower or at least that is how it feels. Battery life is mediocre at best. Sometimes might be good, sometimes might drain way faster. Not a reliable phone. Stay away if you are paying full prize or trading anything newer from an iPhone 11.
