This "thing" can not be flagship....

this smartphone cannot be considered a flagship. yes, a pretty good screen, but that's about it. holds charge well, but so does apple and samsung. raw software, constant lags, ill-conceived shell, overheats during camera operation. if you want to get high-quality photos in auto mode, this is not your smartphone. white balance is basically absent. color rendering is not natural. frankly, completely did not live up to expectations.

The Pixel 8 Pro stands out as a beacon of Google's excellence in smartphone engineering. Donned in a unique Porcelain finish, it exudes luxury and sophistication. But beauty isn't just skin deep; its internals boast powerful performance metrics, a camera system that rivals DSLRs, and a software experience that's fluid and user-friendly. With 256GB of storage, it's more than equipped to handle the modern user's needs, making it a top contender in the premium smartphone market.

Thoroughly enjoy my pixel 8 pro. I’m a huge fan of how capable the cameras are in this device and not to mention the improvements they’ve made to the rest of the phone. Love the flat display, battery life, the tensor g3 has been nothing short of amazing, and the best part of it all is that it feels like the most premium device ever since the Nexus 6 Pro. Google is back!

Excellent phone thus far. Google finally found the right formula of form and function. The flat glass is really nice, I prefer it to the curved glass if the early pixels. Photos are turning out great and the battery life has thus far been phenomenal. The software experience is the best part of the phone, it's the best out there as far as functionality and performance (sorry Samsung and Apple). Everything runs smooth, there is no bloatware, assistant is actually useful and works really well. Pure android (that found on pixel phones) is clean, functional, and has just enough customization to make the phone feel yours. Only complaint about the Pixel 8 series....not all the features were active at launch so still waiting on some juicy bits, and the fact that you have to upload photos to Google Photos to use Magic Editor. My Gmail account is like 80% full (15gb) and I already have a OneDrive account (1Tb) so I will not be paying extra for more Google space. This will probably impact how much I use that feature, and is an annoyance. And many of the best features require a data connection, which is the Achilles heal of all modern phones. Very pleased overall and would definitely recommend. Not a MUST for those with a pixel 6 pro or 7 pro, but it is solid!!

The Google Pixel 8 Pro 256GB in Obsidian is a flagship phone that ticks all the boxes. From its gorgeous display and powerful camera system to its top-tier performance and elegant design, this phone has set a new standard for what a premium smartphone should be. If you're in the market for a high-end device that delivers on all fronts, the Pixel 8 Pro is undoubtedly worth the investment.

I came from the Google Pixel 7 Pro. I do NOT recommend upgrading every year just for the quick hit of dopamine for getting something new. It's really not worth it. The only reason I upgraded was the fact that I was able to get this phone for free and upgrade my storage. Also the phone that promises 7 years of updates is a good place hold off on upgrading for a while. Honestly when I first received the phone, I didn't really like the selfie cam. It felt a bit over sharpened and slightly different lighting than what I was used to with the Pixel 7 Pro. That said, I gave it a chance and loved the camera on vacation. It's not a battery CHAMP, but it's sufficient for my own needs. Something worth mentioning is the fact that the antennas are much more powerful than that of 7 Pro. At work where the 7 Pro rarely could hold a stable signal, the 8 Pro could stream YouTube consistently in the same spot.

Noticeably quicker than PIxel 7 Pro. Photographic options are improved, except for loss of Photo Sphere feature. Call screening, voice dictation improved. Screen is the biggest jump forward - best I've ever seen. The temperature sensor feature is lots of fun - looking forward to the software release to support taking temperatures of live objects.

Pretty much improved over everything from the pixel 7 pro. Better battery life, screen, performance and feels much better in the hand. Also the face unlock now works in banking apps and password managers. Also no more glossy back so it's not as slippery as the 7 pro which is a big plus. Overall a worthy upgrade.

I’ve had every phone in the Pixel lineup, and this is definitely the most wholesome. Great screen, plenty fast and decent battery life. My only minor con is that Google still chooses to offer 128GB as the base for the “Pro” model. If Google wants this phone to compete with the iPhone 15 Pro Max and S23 Ultra, entry model should be 256GB.

Phone runs faster and cooler then my pixel 7 pro. The screen is phenomenal and and I finally have all day battery life! The temperature sensor doesnt really work that well but I am hoping that after a few updates that should be fixed. Overall its a huge improvement over the 7 pro and the bay color is amazing!

very good phone. i upgraded from the pixel 7, this one has a bigger and brighter screen, better battery life, and a better camera. but the best feature is "face id" to open my banking apps, not sure how secure it is, but it's very convenient. the phone also feels very solid and put together.

Excellent phone by Google. Night and day difference from the 7 Pro launch. Cameras are excellent. I also purchased S23U and this phone takes better photos IMO. Also has really good battery life and the heating issues are under control. Love the flat screen. The BB deal was awesome!

This is my first Pixel, I've always gotten Galaxies in the past. I am converted! It is a great phone. Pretty easy to use coming from a Galaxy. The camera is outstanding. I can take a picture of my toddler running around and it will not be blurry at all which was a big issue with the Galaxy

I upgraded from a Pixel 7 Pro and previously a s23 ultra. While I miss some things from the S23 Ultra such as the further zoom and some software features, I always go back to the Pixel for the experience. The phone is smart with the added value it comes with and it's still my favorite camera on a phone. Video is much improved but could still use some work in low light, hopefully video boost helps with that. I also wish the processor had more headroom since when using magic editor or magic eraser it takes an extra few seconds to process but it is still amazing that my phone can do these things. Also battery for me is much better than the 7 pro but the s23 ultra had slightly better battery.

Best Pixel phone till date...Battery life gets better after four to five days of usage. Don't be worried if the battery is draining fast in the initial couple of days. Camera is excellent and a lot of useful AI features sprinkled across the OS.

Awesome phone. Worthy upgrade from any phone. I used to have Pixel 7P and battery was bad and the Tensor G2 was bad during games. Still camera of the 8 Pro is the best. Video is ok. My 14 Pro Max still captures video better. Google pure android experience is very good. Tensor G3 runs the OS very smoothly, unlike Samsung where I feel like there is always a split second lag even on the S23 ultra. You may run into bugs sometimes on the 8Pro, but so does my iphone 14 PM. I had a OnePlus 11 and I like the 67W charging and wish it's a feature on the 8 Pro. I'd prefer that over wireless charging. Overall, Im so happy with this purchase.

Great display and features. Google Wallet has come along way but sadly still is not as good as Apple Wallet. I travel to Japan a lot and was not able to use wallet to add Japanese IC cards. My wife has an iPhone purchased in the US and she could load the IC cards. Also, the wallet does not support adding photos. Even though my state does not support digital DL, I'd still like to store a pic in the wallet along with a pic of my medical insurance, etc. Again, can't do any of that with wallet. Magic Eraser is truly amazing and the camera and editing software are fantastic. There are software bugs that you have to learn to live with as the google support are pathetic. They can speak English but have no tech skills. Hard problems are escalated but next level is not much better. The level above that is the software dev but hard to get there so you just have to give up.

Absolutely, love this phone. I upgraded from a OnePlus 7T pro, which i thought was the best phone that suited me perfectly. Since I switched to a carrier that used Verizon towers, I no longer could use it. This phone has all the bells and whistles, that many other flagship phone has plus more. Didn't think I would use a lot of the features but ended up loving these main features. The AI call screening feature virtually eliminated spam and scam calls, 2 day battery life and the camera are magic. If you're looking for an amazing phone, this is it.
