The phone touch didn't work fine plus key board pops up on home screen where there is nothing to type, I requested for exchange and customer care service was not having same phone for replacement and was asking for me to take the phone backup and return the phone, later wait for new phone which will come after a week. I requested to give me alternate phone till the time new phone arrives and the representative told me to pay extra money to get alternate phone as the new phone was not arriving to my location in their return policy timing.

    Nothing but headaches so far

I upgraded to this phone from a Pixel 3a that worked well but just did not have enough space. The new 8a looks nice, but it is thicker and very heavy compared to my previous phone. The 8a does not have a headphone/aux jack (Bluetooth only) and the fingerprint verification is via the screen rather than the back and it works very poorly, usually forcing me to enter my password manually anytime I want to unlock the screen. Carrying over data from my old phone seemed to work well via the cable, but I have since found that countless text messages did not carry over and can only be successfully restored one conversation at a time using a 3rd party app which is exceptionally tedious. I have all sorts of random issues like the phone changing languages on me and the notification volume setting itself to maximum, which is super loud. I don't know if it's the device itself or the Android software, and I liked my old Pixel phone, but this new one has been nothing but one headache after another.

    Screen-mirroring limited + deal breaker

Phone was decent...great camera/features, but for $500+, I would expect screen-mirroring to be universal. It only works with chromecast. Also, I'll never buy a phone from Best Buy again due to the donation to the company aka "restocking" fee.
