This is a great phone. Coming from a OnePlus 12 and a iPhone 16 Pro this phone has so many intuitive features. I love the automatic song recognition and the speech to text is great. Because of the processor I do notice that it bogs down a little when I am doing anything intense but it happens only once in a great while. I wish the processor was in the league of the snapdragon but I’ll take what I can get for the Pixel software.

This has been a great phone so far and really looking forward to the extra years of support for Android

Upgraded from an older Samsung. It was a little painful since Samsung is proprietary in their notes, passwords, etc. I love the phone. Great reception and integration with Google apps.

Solid phone. Good camera. Would HIGHLY recommend getting a case immediately - the camera bump especially makes it snag-prone. I recommend dbrand as their case has built in magnets and accounts for the camera bump nicely. If you can swing the extra to get the 9 pro or 9xl, the specs are better, but if you can only afford the 9, would still recommend for a very vanilla android experience out of the box with no nonsense apps preinstalled

This device isn’t ideal for those who frequently make video calls, as it lacks the processing power to handle multitasking smoothly. During video calls, the frame rate often drops to conserve resources. GPS can be unreliable at times, occasionally giving incorrect directions through maps. On the bright side, the camera quality is impressive, and the operating system is refreshingly simple. The swipe gestures, in particular, make navigation feel smooth and intuitive.

I absolutely love this phone. I am so grateful it was on sale, such a great price for the 256 GB. It was a great upgrade from my pixel 6.

Love Pixel phones - this is my 4th one (2, 4a, 7, 9). Don't enjoy the price as much but that's why I jumped on Best Buy's trade in promo.

I did a side by side comparison between my Pixel 7 and my Pixel 9 when I first unboxed it and I have to wonder where is the upgrade? Surprisingly photos in both low and high lighting are near identical. The Pixel 9 photos have a warmer tint and reduced sharpness but otherwise the camera in real world use hasn't been noticeably upgraded. The UI is the same as they both run the same version of Android and they are both equally responsive. The fingerprint reader on the 9 is noticeably improved and there are a few AI gimmicks thrown in. If your phone is 5+ years old this is probably a good choice for an upgrade on sale under $600 otherwise you should wait for more noticeable hardware improvements.

So far so good. I am a fan of Google Pixel and it has been a nice upgrade for me. The feel in my hand, the new features, the photo quality. I am enjoying this phone and hope that it improves my productionl personally and professionally.
