iOS user for more than 10 yrs and I finally made the switch After spending time with the Google Pixel Fold 9 Pro, I can confidently say it’s one of the most exciting and well-executed devices I’ve ever used. What I Loved: Premium Foldable Design: The engineering is top-notch. The hinge feels robust, and the fold mechanism is smooth and satisfying. When open, the device transforms into a mini tablet, making it perfect for productivity, reading, and entertainment. Gorgeous Display: Both the outer and inner screens are sharp, vibrant, and ultra-responsive. The refresh rate is silky smooth, and the brightness handles outdoor use with no problem. Exceptional Camera System: The cameras are flagship-level. Google’s computational photography shines through with rich detail, excellent low-light performance, and standout features like Magic Eraser and Super Res Zoom. Pure Android Experience: Fast, clean, and intuitive. Google’s software optimization makes multitasking seamless, and Android updates arrive promptly. Great Battery Life: Despite the large screen and power demands, battery life exceeded expectations. I easily got a full day with moderate to heavy use. Why It Deserves 5 Stars: The Pixel Fold 9 Pro isn’t just a foldable phone—it’s a productivity powerhouse, a top-tier camera, and a polished Android experience all in one. While foldables once felt like a gimmick, this feels practical and ready for everyday use. Yes, it's expensive, but you get a premium experience that feels worth the price. Final Verdict: If you’re ready to embrace foldable tech, the Pixel Fold 9 Pro is the best place to start. Google nailed the balance between innovation and usability. Rating: 5/5 stars. Highly recommended.

Good Improvement From The Pixel Fold

The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is a dramatic improvement from the original pixel fold. Each Model has a standard 16 gb of ram which helps with multi tasking and allowing more running apps to remain in memory. The internal screen is nearly a perfect square at 8 inches, and the brightness has significantly increased allowing the device to be easily viewable outside on both the inner and outer displays. Unlike the original pixel fold, this device now has an inner vapor chamber to control heating, and i can confirm this device does not over heat. The device get a little warm during intense usage but it is on par with other devices in its class. The cameras have slightly smaller sensors than the original pixel fold, but performance wise, this device performs equal and and slightly better than the original Pixel Fold. This device has the updated Tensor G4 processor unlike the original Pixel Fold which has the Tensor G2. Performance wise, This device runs smooth and fast but you may not notice much difference between the Original Pixel Fold and this device as the Tensor G4 chip is only slightly faster and better optimized. This device does have wireless charging like the original Pixel Fold but, for some reason, Google placed the Wireless charging coil alot lower in the back of this device so you will discover that this device does NOT work with the Pixel Wireless Charging Stands. I would stick with wireless charging pads that are flat! To conclude, The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is a well put together and premium designed device. If its your first foldable, you will love it. If you are coming from the original Pixel Fold, you might be a little enthusiastic.

    The Best American MADE Foldable!!!

Using this phone, versus the Samsung Galaxy Fold 6, at the time, was revolutionary. The camera was better. Phone was thinner, and the external phone screen size was much appreciated. CON: Internal "SQUARE" screen, and lack of CPU performance, and slow charging, are downers. Patiently waiting for the Fold 10... praying for better trade in values... $2300 phone... only $550 trade in value after less than a year... awful...

I’ve been using the Google Pixel 9 in Gold for a while now, and I absolutely love it. The design is sleek and elegant, with the gold finish adding a premium touch that stands out. The camera is as impressive as ever, capturing stunning photos in any lighting condition—one of the key reasons I keep coming back to the Pixel series. The performance is smooth, and the software experience feels refined and user-friendly, especially with all the exclusive Google features. Overall, the Pixel 9 has exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice!

    Good, but slow device

Good, but slow device. I also use an iPhone 15 Pro Max. This is my backup device, and I love the screen when the phone is unfolded. If anything, I wish this came with the same cameras as the Pixel 9 Pro XL, and also wish the front screen was the same size as the Pixel 9 Pro XL. That aside, the Tensor chip inside is actually noticeably slower than either the Snapdragon that Samsung devices ship with, and the chip inside the iPhone. The spinning circle when doing normal things like opening emails and web pages is pretty common on this device, while almost non-existent on my iPhone. The main reason I am keeping it is the unfolded phone is very nice even though a bit slow, plus phone calling features on the Pixel are unmatched on any other phone.

really like this new phone although it takes some getting used to. the cover screen is more narrow than what I'm used to but the inner screen is amazing. But that also takes some getting used to. Nice that it's pure Google/Android with no bloatware. also pretty thin for a fold. I'm liking it more and more each day!

I have been in the Apple ecosystem since iPhone 6. I was a little scared switching to Google's UI but all I can say is that it is amazing. A little time to get used to it but the camera is wonderful. The huge 8 inch screen is a life changer when multitasking. Overall would highly recommend to someone who is interested in a folding phone but scared to swap ecosystems.

Honestly, the round corners are horrible... truly horrible. There are countless apps that literally can't work on this phone because menus and icons are cut off in the rounded corner. The only.. and I mean the oooonly reason to choose this piece of trash is to install GrapheneOS. If you do not need GrapheneOS for privacy, then buy ANY other fold phone and you will be far better off. The one I would have chosen, if I could, would be the Oneplus fold. Sadly, Oneplus was bought out and they no longer allow custom ROMs. These Google phones have way underpowered CPUs (painfully slow), uncomfortable to hold, the front screen in unusably small, it is poorly designed (power button is constantly being hit by accident because it is on the side instead of the top). Honestly, this thing is complete trash except for it's ability to run GrapheneOS. I'm tempted to go back to being spied on with a samsung or oneplus just so I can have a usable phone again. Don't buy this unless you have no other choice. Your friends will easily shame you with their much faster fold phones, with much better screens and features.

I switched over from iPhone to the pixel 9 fold. I like the phone so far, but the phone bottom speaker doesn't work since I bought it. That's upsetting since it's a $2k phone. My husband purchased a Galaxy fold and I'm jealous. It works so well and the camera is nice. I'd skip this one and to to Fallacy.

I enjoyed use of this phone, but durability was a serious issue. The inner screen broke after it was dropped while in a heavy-duty case. Luckily for me, Geek Squad warranty took care of me ... but take my advice, just get the candybar phone for now.

This was a great buy and I love my phone. I had a hard time trying to get information from my phone, due to the phone not being able to work from the top portion. The employee was working his best to help me out, then another employee came over and helped to make sure I was able to get all my info off of the old phone. They were there helping me for over an hour and they were not frustrated with me or anything. To top everything else off I didn't remember my password, they were patient with me. Great customer service!
