When I unboxed the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2, I was at first a bit disappointed because the case looks exactly the same as the first generation except for a small hole to now emit sounds for the Find My Device feature. Then I opened the case and immediately noticed how much smaller the newer generation are. I thought they’d be too small but upon inserting them in my ear and twisting them into position I was sold. They are incredibly comfortable. The new model now includes a small and subtle fin that also help with fit. These may possibly be the best earbuds on the market for Android users. With a Google Pixel phone, like the Pixel 9 Pro Fold that I use, you already have the Pixel Buds app installed and the earbuds automatically pair. On any other device you can download the Pixel Buds app from the Google Play Store. Once paired, they can be linked to your Google account to work on any other Pixel device or Android 8+ device that has Google Play services enabled. They can even be paired to multiple Android devices and seamlessly switch between them. I can confirm this feature worked flawlessly on my Samsung Galaxy tablet. I only turned it on and saw a message that my Pixel Buds Pro 2 had connected and simply starting media on my tablet paused it on my phone. While listening to my tablet, a phone call came in and the music stopped as the Buds Pro 2 switched back to my phone. The new Pixel Buds Pro 2 includes a Tensor A1 chip that improves just about everything from the original including latency, noise cancelation, sound quality, and even battery life. Comparing them to the original, this isn’t just your typical new product marketing speak, the noise cancellation is remarkably better. With my old Pixel Buds, I could still hear my fan humming faintly in the background but that noise is just gone with the new model. It’s just as good as some of my over-ear cans. Transparency has also been improved dramatically. With the older ones and transparency on, I could hear myself talk which constantly reminded me the earbuds are in my ears. On the Pro 2, this is not the case, it’s much more natural and makes features like Conversation Assist so much better. The audio quality certainly sounds better compared to the original, but I honestly can’t tell if it’s actually better because I already thought the first gen buds had great quality. A large part of why it sounds so much better I think is because the comfort and noise cancellation is so much improved. In any case, they sound great, but if you need to tweak things, there is an EQ setting in the Pixel app. There are five default presets available for you like Heavy Bass or “Clarity” which hikes up the treble. You can also customize it and create your own preset. With Google’s new Find My Device feature, you can now track and play a sound on the case or either earbud themselves, which is useful when one falls behind a couch cushion. I carry mine around daily and am constantly misplacing them around the house so besides the improved noise cancellation and comfort this is my favorite new feature. The touch controls are intuitive. You can control the volume by swiping forward or backward on either earbud. A single tap for play pause, double tab for next track and triple for previous track. You can customize the touch “hold” gesture on either earbud to either toggle ANC or summon Gemini/Assistant. Pros: - Superb Sound Quality with Tensor A1 Chip - Great Bass Response - Intuitive Touch Controls - Fast Pairing on Android and Pixel - Includes Multiple Eartips - Wireless Charging - Spatial Audio Support - Conversation Detection - Find My Device - Gemini AI Conversational Support Cons: - None really – other than I wouldn’t recommend these for Apple iPhone users simply because you’ll be missing out on a lot of the features. Overall – These are excellent earbuds, a solid improvement over the first-gen especially in transparency and noise cancellation, a must have for Pixel owners.

I’ve been happy with my Pixel Buds Pro 2 overall. They are very comfortable, the noise cancellation works well, and the connection with my Pixel phone is fast and reliable. Battery life has also been good. My only complaint is the sound quality. It sounds good, but for the price I expected a little more detail and overall audio quality. They are still great earbuds and I would recommend them, but there is definitely some room for improvement in the sound.

I’ve been using the Pixel Buds Pro 2 regularly and they’ve become my go-to earbuds. The fit is comfortable and secure without feeling bulky, even after wearing them for a few hours. The active noise cancellation does a great job reducing background noise like traffic, fans, and nearby conversations, while transparency mode still sounds natural when I need to hear what’s around me. Sound quality is excellent, with strong bass that doesn’t overpower vocals, and podcasts and phone calls come through very clearly especially phone calls, both sides of the call are flawless crisp volume. The microphones have also worked well for calls. I really like how quickly they connect with my Pixel phone, and the touch controls are responsive and easy to use. The charging case is compact and easy to carry, and battery life has been more than enough for normal daily use. Overall, they feel polished, reliable, and well integrated with Android. I’d definitely buy them again.

So far this has been a great pair of earbuds, had to choose from a plethora of options out there and went with these, great choice, connectivity was seamless and sound was great, awesome battery life and looks good too. I chose these as the EarPods are not a good fit for my ears and over the ear was not a good option, and earbuds are not always a good fit but these fit perfectly.

First let me say that I am not a tech insider and although I am entered to win a 400 dollar gift card that I am pretty certain I will not win, I have not received any incentives for my review. This review is for sound and fit mostly. I have had headphones that range in cost from 20 dollars to 800 dollars. I can tell you that given all of the headphones I own, no two headphones sound the same, some are close but none sound exactly the same. When I purchased these during a BestBuy discount I really did not have high expectations but once I listened to these for the first time I was very impressed. These earbuds have very good noise cancelling and are very comparable to the Bose QC Ultra 2 earbuds which are known for industry best ANC. One of the best qualities of these earbuds are the fit. I don't use them to workout or run but they are easy to insert and I feel like I can wear these for hours on end and they would not bother my inner ear. You really cannot tell that they are in which speaks volumes for the way they fit. Now for the sound. I would not go as far to say that they have the very best bass or very best highs but they have an incredibly balanced sound signature. The bass is not overwhelming but very good and does not sound muffled. The treble or highs sound very clear and from listening to so many different brands of headphones I can tell you that these just sound incredible. Makes you want to listen to the next song and never take them out. I have not tested the battery life but have listened to them for many hours and the battery just never seems to go below 80% so I feel like battery life is very good. I consider myself a connoisseur of sound and these are my number one headphones to listen to at this time. I have not tested the new Samsung buds 4 pro's as they just came out but plan to once they go on sale. I would also like to say that I use an equalizer application called boom3d which I recommend which allows you to fine tune the sound of your headphones. They have a trial period so give it a try. Not receiving any kickbacks for promoting their product either. Just like it and it is available for Mac, Windows, Apple and Android products. These earbuds sound exceptional with our without the boom3d application. The pixel earbud app is good but do not use it to adjust the sound of the earbud, only use it for updates if needed. I want to add that although the headphones costing 800 dollars look very nice and also sound good, I don't feel they were worth the 800 dollars. If a headphone is going to cost 800 dollars then they should sound like 800 dollars and they don't (brand withheld). I have 400 dollar headphones as well as these 170 dollar pixel earbuds that sound much better. Hope this review helps. I don't think you will be disappointed at all by purchasing these Pixel pro earbuds. Also, I tried the Pixel 2a buds and felt that the sound of the Pro model was worth the extra money so I returned the 2a buds.

This headphones are excellent, hight quality and their battery lasts a long time, the design is beatifull, have a perfect size, active noise cancellation is really functional and permit have hight quality in sound and have a very fast connectivity with my google cellphone, it´s definitely an excellent purchase

These are buds are nice and comfortable. Likes: I love the noise cancelling and transparency mode. That really helps to pull sound around you. Very clear sounds when I am in meetings and talking. Small & compact. Google find hub to locate left and right ear piece is very nice. Great battery life Dislikes: It is comfortable but I fell like they are constantly trying to fall out of my ear.

Hands down, the best earbuds I've ever had. These have taken over my life. I can't believe I used to live without them. One of the best purchases of my adult life. The sound quality is astounding for a pair of buds. The battery life is long enough that I've only charged them roughly 10 times in 10 months, and I use them for podcasts primarily, so they're on for hours at a time. They receive consistent updates, like the recent multi-source Bluetooth option which lets me pair them to my PC and my phone and swap between those quickly. They're also extremely comfortable. These things are magic.

Honestly the best earbuds I've ever had, but for the last few years I've used only one pair, the Google Pixel Buds Pro. At first when I bought these and tried them out, I was like oh these just seem like the first ones. They are basically the same, but they're smaller, and so much more comfortable. They not only sound better, but they last much longer too. I can get a whole 8 hour work day in and then some most of the time with transparency mode on, due to my work environment. I have to say, Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode both have improved tremendously with these over the first generation of the Pixel Buds Pro. I'll be honest, I'm all Google, and continue to use their products daily, but these really do stick out more to me. I recommend them, but really honestly only in a sale because they are quite steep. If you're in the market for a cheaper pair, I'd still recommend the Pixel Buds Pro first gen. Both generations are incredible though.

Between features you didn't even know you needed, sound quality and the extra little touches, these earbuds are excellent. Even for those who may not have had the best luck with earbuds in the past. - Setup As a Pixel phone owner, setup could not have been more easy. I was prompted as soon as I opened the case to pair the buds with my phone. The process was extremely easy. Behind the initial pairing, there are a few cool options that you can enable or adjust, but out of the box, they're very easy to setup and use. - Software This is where I think that most of Google's hardware really shines. The software they include into their Pixel phones and other devices always really make them excel. The Pixel buds are no exception. The app makes checking the battery life of the case or each bud individually very easy. In the app, you can also control things like equalizer settings, or make the buds ring if you've misplaced them. Other cool additions are options like the buds turning volume down if they detect conversations. This works very well in my experience, making sure you don't need to remove them for a quick conversation. If you have a compatible device, you can also enable spatial audio which is a very welcome addition. You can have the audio move with youz which is a pretty unique sounding experience. - Hardware The buds themselves feel pretty comfortable to wear. One issue I continuously have though, it seems no matter what size attachment I use, I always have earbuds fall out. The Pixel buds solve this with the twist to adjust. Once I've twisted them in place, I couldn't get them to fall out when I tried. The gestures work very well too. From enabling/disabling the conversation detection, or simply controlling volume, they worked consistently and I never struggled to control them. The case is also a high point for me. It's subtle design, and indicator light are great. It's a small container that charges a d makes pairing simple. The way the buds magnetically snap into place is great, and the case has that satisfying little click as you close them. - Audio quality These sound excellent, with their nice crisp, clean sounding highs, and good bass. Hearing all the intricate parts of music and moves, while letting the noise cancellation do its thing. And the noise cancellation is also excellent. I was able to listen completely distraction-free using these. If you're looking for an excellent pair of earbuds, these Pixel Buds Pro 2 are an easy recommendation.

Google's Pixel Buds Pro 2 have arrived, and as a daily user of the original Pixel Buds Pro, I was eager to see how they stacked up. These updated earbuds promise improved comfort, a more secure fit, and enhanced noise cancellation thanks to Google's "Silent Seal 2.0" technology. After spending some time with them, I'm happy to report that the Pixel Buds Pro 2 deliver on these promises and more. Fit: Google has clearly refined the design for a more secure and comfortable fit. The addition of a small stabilizer wing allows for a subtle twist that locks the earbuds in place. While I never had major issues with the fit of the first generation, these feel noticeably more secure, even with vigorous head movement. I suspect they'll stay put even during intense workouts. Noise Cancelling: The original Pixel Buds Pro already had impressive noise cancellation, but the Pixel Buds Pro 2 take it to another level. Google claims "Silent Seal 2.0" offers twice the noise cancellation, and while I haven't had a chance to test them on a plane yet, they effectively silence the rumble of traffic and the chatter in my local coffee shop. Sound: The sound quality is simply amazing. Google's custom Tensor A1 chip now includes a dedicated signal path for music, bypassing the noise cancellation processing for a cleaner, more detailed sound. The bass is particularly impressive—deep, punchy, and well-defined. Case: The charging case is practically identical in size to the previous generation and even fits in my existing Nomad leather case. A welcome addition is the built-in speaker, which allows you to easily locate the case using Find My Device—a feature I frequently rely on. Overall: The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are a nice upgrade over their predecessors. They offer a winning combination of comfort, noise cancellation, and sound quality, making them a top contender in the wireless earbud market. If you're a Pixel owner, these are an easy recommendation. Even compared to my AirPods Pro, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 come out on top, particularly when it comes to call clarity. While the first-generation Pixel Buds Pro are still a good option if you can find them at a discount, the second generation truly raises the bar. In my opinion, we've reached a point where wireless earbuds can rival over-the-ear headphones in terms of audio quality, and the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are a prime example. 10/10 – Love them!

Have had them about 2 weeks now. Definitely better than Gen 1 pros, so far no weird misalignment volume is louder due to the noise canceling and fits my ear better. Battery life for and hour or so at the gym only goes down by 10% or less

They're wonderful. Multi point connection between phone and PC is on point. Very light and comfortable. Transparency mode works so well I forget I'm wearing them half the time. Surround sound is excellent. I'm very impressed.

These sound great out of the box, but if you adjust the EQ it takes them to another level. I tested the sound against my kids airpods pro 3 and 4 and prefer the sound signature of these better. I find myself listening to these more than my Shure 846s which I think says a lot. I don't think the noise cancellation is as good as the airpods but it's close. I love the touch controls and they are locked in your ear. I wish they came with some better ear tips to make the seal better as they would likely sound even better. Got these open box at Best Buy for $120.00. They looked and function like brand new.

I've had these buds now for over a week and the sound quality is very good. I mainly use them at the gym and the ANC is very good at blocking out the gym's general ambiance and the music playing over the speakers. I mainly got these because of their smaller form factor. I don't like the ones that have the little mouth piece that extends even a little from the earbud. They stay in the ear through my entire workout. Overall, very pleased with how they they sound.

The earbuds fit perfectly in my ears right out of the box and like all things Google - it's really intuitive to get started. I've only owned these wireless earbuds and use a Samsung Galaxy S25+ so airpods would be the only ones out of the question. Based on several reviews - these seemed like the best deal for me. That's probably correct after 2 months of use. Battery life - EXCELLENT! I've only needed to charge them twice! I use them almost exclusively for dog walks, which totals up to perhaps 6-8 hours per week. Noise Cancellation - EXCELLENT - when using this, the outside world is pretty invisible and I'm only hearing my music. **however here's my complaint. Because I walk in a busy area sometimes, I prefer to use transparent mode. This works great, but My issue is that it doesn't stay in transparent mode each time I turn on the headphones. I'd like it to remember the last setting. Mic - GOOD - no complaints about my voice and the quality of my audio on calls from those on the other end, however I haven't found a way to enable the other type of noise cancellation. how can i have the MIC focus only on me and drown out the background noise so the person I'm speaking to doesn't know if I'm walking my dog while on with them? :) Overall - I'd recommend these, they're comfortable, easy and work great!

Really impressed! The sound is just chef's kiss – so rich and clear. Nose cancelling is great!Super comfy in my ears too, I can wear them for hours. Plus, they just work – seamless with my Pixel phone and switching between devices is a breeze. Battery life is solid. Honestly, they nailed it. Definitely worth the upgrade! My only issue is the fit with one of my ears. Most likely it is the fault with my own ear, but a bummer none the less.

Sound quality is very good -- deep bass, clear treble, crisp phone calls, and excellent features exclusive to Google phones like 3D audio. Microphone quality is barely serviceable, unfortunately, but this pair of earbuds is more than worth the price. Large upgrade over Google's previous iterations, improving the design with nice colorways and ergonomic changes to make them comfortable for long use. Battery life is out of this world, as well.

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 sounds almost as good as an Airpods Pro 2 but are more comfortable. They're also less likely to fall off due to the lighter weight and better fit. Controls are easy to use and work well. ANC is underwhelming for a pro product which isn't necessarily a bad thing if you still want to hear some of your surrounding. Transparency mode hisses a bit too much. Mic is mediocre like most ear buds. Battery life aligns with what's advertised. This is an ok product overall. There are better options at this price range but if you're big on Gemini AI, these are good for you.
