Great product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. Watch works perfectly. Exactly what I was looking for. I can have personal pictures as my clock face. It tracks my heart rate, sleep, exercise all fairly accurately. Notifications come in clearly. I can type a response or speak into the watch to respond. All really awesome features! Battery life isn't long but still longer than 24 hrs which is nice. One thing I didn't realize is how heavy the watch was in comparison to the fitbit versa 4.

It keeps getting better
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never thought I'd get a smart watch, but my old fitbit broke so I was starting to shop for a new fitness tracker. I was also dependent on the watch for telling time. It's not always convenient or comfortable or possible to slip your phone out of your pocket to see what time it was. When I spotted this watch become available, I jumped at it. I'll never jump back to a dumb watch. I didn't want to have to deal with another smart device. I'm trying to make my life easier, and I always assumed that a smart watch would have a huge learning curve and be a pain to set up. The pixel watch 2 setup was really smooth. It wanted to do all its updates right away, and that's great because when it was done I didn't get interrupted by updates and reboots. I had to merge my fitbit account with my google account, but that's fine. One less password to manage. Besides, the merge process was very easy. The watch was full of helpful tutorials during the setup. You could skip past them, but they are worth the time. My experience with the watch has been good so far. I got a handle on the essentials right away, and I learn new things as I go along. One huge annoyance was the watch band is too small. If I have it on the 2nd hole, it's snug and uncomfortable. If I have it on the first hole, there's not enough band left to tuck into the slot so it flops around loose. And bands are pretty expensive, so I'm grumpy about having to spend money on top of what the watch costs. Otherwise it's really handy, and it makes answering the phone pretty slick. The speaker isn't awesome, but the mic is fantastic. Callers can't tell I'm on the watch.

Works OK, health data is bad, screen is small
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a lot of experience with smart watches from the Samsung Galaxy and Apple watch series 6 and a couple others. But as far as this watch goes it's pretty good. I hesitate to say great because there's not a huge difference between this second iteration and the first of other than battery capacity. It can get you through the day. Obviously the screen is what's using a lot of the power, not necessarily the sensors. I of course have always on display off but I will say it stays connected to Wi-Fi when it needs to and it stays connected to the watch with no problem. It can play Bluetooth audio to earbuds with absolutely no problem. I think where it falls short is namely such a small screen. It hasn't really affected my ability to use it and I use a black watch face to trick myself into thinking it's bigger than it actually is because the display area is actually smaller. There are noticeable bezels around the display. Another huge fail in my opinion is the integration with Fitbit. I wish Google had stayed with Google fit and I understand the sensors are supposed to be better but the information is behind a paywall. Apple doesn't even have that as lockdown as Apple is. Also, your health information doesn't populate from your health care sources like your doctor or hospital. Contrast that with the Apple watch where you could get your doctors notes and test results and all of this other information integrated in the Apple health app. Fitbit just sort of runs short mainly because nobody wants to pay that kind of money a month for a subscription. Also the information is not exactly precise, just barely better than accurate. I will point out the fact that you don't get a blood oxygen reading unless you are in an activity being recorded or you've got multiple days straight of sleep information. And if you're looking for something to track sleep, this just does not it. I really have yet to find any tracking device that tracks sleep properly. You've got to be asleep for a minimum of 3 hours before it will even begin to record. So you've always got at least 3 hours less on data. Then you actually slept. And essence, if you slip 6 hours, it's only going to record 3 hours. That doesn't seem very accurate to me. And even if you sleep well and use your CPAP and don't move all night long, you'll have 2 hours of sleep data. So that's a huge fail for me. I don't really like Fitbit. It just happened to come with the watch. So I'm not going to suggest somebody buy this for the tracking features. I believe distance and steps are probably accurate as is the heart rate but blood oxygen levels. The ECG, which seems generic, and sleep are all negatives. Other than that, it does an excellent job with notifications with phone calls. It's excellent with the microphone and the speaker. Mine is the GPS model because I don't see the need for an LTE model with a separate plan with a carrier, unless you have Google Fi and you can have a watch line for free. You're always got your phone with you anyways. So why spend extra? But that's just my opinion. The screen is bright enough in the outdoors. There is a shortage of nice bands for this watch, but that could just be opinion. I would say overall if I had to give this x stars out of 10 I would probably give it a solid, five or six. Mainly because it's supposed to do all of these things but it does half of them well and half of them not so good. If you pick this up with a promotion I can recommend it, but I can't really recommend it as a straight out solo purchase. Obviously it's at the forefront of updates like the pixel phones, but I've had it for 2 months and I have yet to see an update. But if you're in the Google ecosystem, this is probably a decent purchase and let's just hope that the pixel watch3 really picks up where this leaves off and includes what this watch should have had. One thing that comes to mind at the end of this review is the charging puck. I really personally don't like it. It's proprietary and unnecessary. And by unnecessary I mean the design. Obviously you've got to have it. But just like everything else Google it's hard to find accessories. Be it a watch band or face protector or anything reasonably priced. But in the end if you can get it on sale if you can get it on a promotion. If you can get it in a bundle I would take it. Otherwise I'd keep looking. But keep in mind that Apple watches and Samsung watches are not going to work well with your Android phone unless it's a Samsung or you have an iPhone.

Perfect companion to my Pixel phone
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using a Samsung smartwatch for a few years and decided it was time for a change. Since I am a Google Pixel user, I decided to go with the Pixel Watch 2. The watch was easy to set up nothing minutes I was up and running. The UI is fast and integrates with my Pixel phone. The battery life is better than I expected, with always on display off I am able to get about two days (HR, stress, sleep, gps on). Even when it does need to charge it is very quick. My only cons for the watch is the smaller size and proprietary band connection. The Google branded bands are pricy and the 3rd party options may not fit quite right. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

Exceptional features and comfort.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the size and comfort of this watch. Fitbit works effortlessly and the graphics are wonderful. It is very easy to set up, and has many different ways to help you during this process. Phone calls and messages come in perfectly. If you want a watch that does everything, this is the one to get. I am still finding ways to make it more personally mine. I love the multiple colored crystal covers available and the ability to change up the watch bands to match. Love it!!!

Solid first smartwatch
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first smartwatch, and it was included with my Pixel 8 Pro. It's solid all around, but I really don't have much to compare it to. At $350 retail it's quite expensive, but I already can't imagine going back to a normal watch. The battery lasts all day every day, wearing it from when I go to bed to when I get home from work. The display is crisp, and the storage is more than adequate. Not much else to ask for. If you work in a hands on industry like I do, I'd highly recommend a protective cover or case. The glass is edge to edge, and rounded, so it would be easy to crack, and hard to replace.

Good watch, bad price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this watch for about a month and I am not really disappointed with it. There are lots of features from Fitbit on the watch, which allow for lots of use. I still have not used them all or checked them out. I have a Google Pixel Phone, which allows compatibility and ease of use to be higher. However, it works good with any Android phone. The only problem I have with it is the price. There are other watches out there of similar brands that are much nicer but for the same price. Otherwise, I love it.

Great Watch!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch is great. It's almost up to par with the latest smart watches from Samsung and Apple. I like that it pairs nicely with a pixel phone and certainly compliments that. Battery life could use some performance upgrades.

Good, but less useful than iWatch
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought as part of the bundle deal with the Pixel 8 Pro pre-order. I originally had an apple watch 7, which i loved, but it wouldn't integrate with the Pixel. Pros: Pixel watch 2 has a FANTASTIC battery life. The charging is also much faster than my apple watch. The bundle deal gave me a free trial of FitBit premium, which is pretty neat. It does monitor my sleep and gives a fairly accurate indicator of times when i get stressed based on vitals changes. The stress indicator is not something i saw as an option with my apple watch, so i thought that was pretty cool. The vibration seems to be stronger than my apple watch ever was Cons: The default band that comes with the watch is uncomfortable in my opinion. After a night's sleep, I usually have to take it off because it feels like its digging into my wrist even with the band somewhat loose. Due to the material, it tends to get stuck in my hair if i were to do something like brush or style with the watch on. I am planning to get a different band to rectify this so hopefully this is just a band issue The watch itself feels a bit thicker than my apple watch. I am uncertain if the watch is thicker or if it is just the round shape, but after sleeping and long-term wear, the watch feels like it is digging into the top of my wrist even with the band somewhat loose Probably just because i am used to the iOS interface, but i dont like the way the apps are laid out. The scrolling feels annoying to me. I liked how apple had the icons laid out on the "home" screen when you unlocked the watch much better than the endless scrolling It does not have as many monitoring features as the Apple watch Apple had a built-in function that had a sort of walkie talkie bit that could be used from watch to watch. It would notify the other person you were requesting a walkie-talkie conversation and then you could tap the button and talk to each other over the watch instead of having to use your phone. This is absolutely not necessary 95% of the time, but it was a nice feature to have, especially when you are in a position where you cant have your phone out but need to reach someone

Not Light Years ahead, but great new stuff over 1
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There aren't a TON of new things with the 2 over the 1, but the new stuff is better. I do wish they would incorporate more Fitbit programming as I miss having ANY exercise I do get picked up and tracked automatically instead of having to "accept" that it's tracking my walk/run. That being said, it's faster transitioning and better heart rate monitor than previous model and of course the battery is much better. All the things I love. Price is a little high, but still worth it for me.

Waited for my first smartwatch and I'm glad I did!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the smartwatch I've been waiting years for. I held off on buying the first generation in order for them to work the kinks out...and I'm glad I did. I'm very happy with battery life (it easily lasts me all day, and then before bed I just top it off to make sure I can get through the whole night with plenty of battery to spare in the morning). It's snappy and just works really seamlessly for workouts, listening to podcasts, checking notifications, and responding to incoming messages.

My First Wearable, So Far So Good!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first smart watch, and I've enjoyed almost everything about it. I got this with my Pixel 8 Pro and have had one headache so far. The teo were paired, but somehow lost their connection and the only fix was to reset the watch and start from scratch? That part was super frustrating as it happened while I was super busy and didn't have the time to sit down and go through all the prompts.. took a couple tries to get things paired and going again. Other than that it has been a great accessory that I use every day. The best use I've gotten is to turn off "always on display" which REALLY boosts battery life. The screen lights up any time I tilt my arm or tap on it, and I honestly don't need it constantly running. Plus, I noticed that the constant screen-on was causing pixel burn and ghosting when scrolling menus.. I could see my clock face lingering and was quick to address that. OLED panels DO in fact burn-in, so consider that if you're going to leave the screen on. Lastly, I was barely getting a day out of it, leaving no way to sleep track etc. But now that the screen isn't constantly lit up, I can run it all day, sleep track at night and all it needs is a little charge when I get up to shower in the morning then it's good to do it all over again. It would be cool to have the always on display, but not at the cost of the screen quality nor battery life.

Great smartwatch but could use better notification
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing watch. Battery life is good even with always on display. The charging is also super quick. The watch looks sleek and sexy. It comes with two different size bands so it will most likely fit your wrist. Only thing that I dislike about the watch is the notification feature. You aren't able to only have it on vibrate for notifications. The only option is to have no notifications.

Loved the watch, Fitbit part missed the mark
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a solid product and works so smoothly and seamless with your pixel device, I rock the pixel fold and loved how they worked together, my big problem was the fitness aspect, I love the Samsung health app and everything Samsung health does and how they do it, and I was just very unimpressed with Fitbit, there were some things I enjoyed about Fitbit but not enough to switch . Also the health connect app was horrible transferring steps and all the data from Fitbit to Samsung health

Great heart monitor
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great heart monitor but poor battery. It only lasts 2 days max as long as you set the screen to be off unless you press the button to see it. I didn't do that the first few days and it would barely make 1 day then. Fortunately it does charge quickly. I like some of the other features too like the sleep monitor and the weight progress (I've lost 7 pounds so far it says). I bought to monitor my heart mainly after a trip to the ER with a heartbeat of 190. So far so good! Oh and I bought a softer band the one it came with wasn't very comfortable.
