GREAT WATCH. I WISH I COULD DO A PHOTO AS A BACKROUND LIKE MY OLD APPLE WATCH.

Gestures are spotty. Very nice new design that combats other smart watches out there. Google is heading in the right direction but this is far from perfect.

There’s something about picking up a Google product at Best Buy—seeing the blue and yellow sign and finally holding that small, square box in the parking lot. Unlike waiting for a delivery, the in-store experience made the Series 4 feel like a real upgrade.

This was a gift for my wife. She has been talking about the Google Pixil watch for months. She was elated. The screen resolution is crisp and bright, easy to configure, provides her with all of the “health” applications she wanted to monitor and the black watch and wristband goes with everything she wears.

Great watch. I upgraded from the 1st Generation Watch. Love the new features and the face screen takes up nearly the whole face. Would definitely recommend

So far ,loving all the bells and whistles on my new watch. I can actually hear it well enough to receive phone calls. I still haven't figured out what all it can do but overall ,quite happy with it

OVERALL
I've been in the market for a fitness tracker recently. My requirements were fairly simple, 1) no sub for basic data, 2) minimalist/discreet, and 3) not locked to an ecosystem. Initially, I was set on a ring as that was the most minimalist option that may draw the least unwanted attention. However, as time went on I found a number of unsavory features/details with most. I eventually shifted my attention to watches and instantly eliminated devices that didn't meet the requirements. Eventually, the Google Pixel Watch 4 came into focus and into my possession, and I can say it's everything I needed in a fitness tracker. It's stylish without being overly flashy where it looks like a fashion designer item worth 1 - 6 months of an average workers salary.

HANDS-ON
Getting it out of the box and on your wrist, setup with an account to use is a simple process. The most troublesome aspect is physically attaching it to your wrist with the default band. I ended up using a chain style band, similar to a typical watch, with an overlapping latching clasp. This made attaching it incredibly simple.
You'll need a Google account and the Google Pixel Watch app to pair with your phone. Pairing with a specific/compatible device unlocks additional functions such as raise to talk, or the feature that allows you to bring your watch near your mouth and begin talking to it. No wake word or pressing any buttons to get the assistant listening to you. Unfortunately, with an older Pixel device, this feature does not work and is not present in the app to enable. Interestingly, a non Pixel android device of the budget price range, does enable this feature within the app, it just doesn't enable it on the watch itself so it isn't a function I can really speak about.
Tracking health/fitness metrics seems incredibly accurate. From your fitness routines, sleep, calorie intake, step/distance measurement, and more.
Besides health metrics, the smartwatch adds some safety features such as crash detection, fall detection, abnormal/no pulse detection, and safety check. All these can notify personal contacts of a potential issue including emergency services in case you are unable to do so yourself.
The only odd metric that I'd point out is the calorie burn metric. I can easily hit over 2000 calories on a busy day but I cannot explain how it comes near that on off days where there's little planned. Days where that schedule goes from sitting at a desk for some stationary work to sitting on a couch for leisure, the motions in between couldn't possibly hit anywhere near that.
One possible other nitpick to point out. No wall adaptor is supplied, just a specialty charging dock with type-c end connector and band.
CONCLUSION
The Google Pixel Watch 4 is an incredible device capable of many useful features. Not only does it serve as a fitness tracker, but a personal safety wearable making it useful for younger and older individuals. The watch looks stunning without being over the top which could draw unwanted attention for tourists in foreign locations or individuals in less privileged regions.
This is worth 5-stars.

This is a great option for those who have an Android device. I paired it with my S25 Ultra and it pairs wonderfully. The hardware is solid and very stylish. The only downside to this device is the charger, I wish they would've incorporated wireless charger same as Apple Watch as most docks are dedicated to that type of charging,

Bought for a gift so I don’t know how it functioned. However, loved the sleek look, features and style. They did recommend protecting the crystal/glass face, as apparently it is some shaped a prone to shattering.
