At first I didn't know what Google Play cards could be used for. But the fact that you can use it to also pay for services such as Youtube TV and Youtube Premium...actually made this much more useful to have. You can't, however, use it to purchase hardware items from the Google online store. Hopefully they can extend it to that some day.
