My wife and I bought this for our gopro hero 3 to take with us on our cruise and we are glad we did. We were able to take the camera in the ocean, pool, on the jet ski, etc. and we never worried about loosing our camera. It floated in the water and the bright orange back allowed us to see it from far away.

This thing is priceless. After loosing a waterproof camera off my boat a couple years ago because I didn't buy the wrist strap float, I knew when I got the GoPro for Christmas that the first accessory was going to be the floaty back door. It's super easy to install and has already proved its a must have out on the water. Had my GoPro resting on the poling platform while getting the mount setup when a fish hit. When I turned to grab the rod I knocked my GoPro off into the water. The floaty back worked great and I was able to continue to fight the fish while keeping an eye on the bright orange pad floating in the water. After landing the fish I circled back around and scooped up my GoPro. Happy to say that was one didn't get away!

I bought this floaty for my gopro because I do a lot of filming over water. I have dropped a gopro while filming in a lake and luckily I was able to find it by diving to the bottom, which was only about 12 feet down. If I had dropped it any deeper I would have never seen it again. Since owning this floaty, I have dropped my gopro two more times without a care in the world. It literally floats right on top of the water and with it being bright orange, it's impossible to miss. Definitely worth the money.

I just got my GoPro last month in time for vacation. I used it out in the surf after testing it to make sure it would float with the weight of the camera in the waterproof housing. No issues and we got some pretty good close up shots of the kids in the barrel of the waves and boogie boarding. Never could have done it safely with out the floaty backdoor attached. Cant wait to get out kayaking and fishing with this thing!

Works great, can keep the camera floating while I get back to it, and is easy to see (super orange color). I like to use it with my wrist strap, and testing it I found that it will float for a short time (30 seconds or so) with the wrist strap on, but will then being to sink. With just the camera and waterproof case it will float indefinitely (or as long as I wanted to watch it at lease).

I bought the floaty backdoor for my camera for a rafting trip. The little thing stuck onto the backdoor of my camera with the strength of Thor minus the additional weight. It's highly visible and actually was able to barely keep afloat the additional weight of the GoPro 3-way arm attached. Perfect for any water activities so you don't loose a few hundred dollar camera.

It includes multiple back doors, only one will fit your housing, so be sure to check before you accidentally attach the float to the wrong door. (speaking from experience here). They say it will only float the camera, but I tested, and it was also able to keep my 3-way mount floating, which was perfect for me.

I wakeskate, kayak, and ride my jetskis, so it was natural that I needed something in case my gopro were to hit the water. It floats and is easily visible in the water. Disclaimer: It can't float with a heavy selfie-stick attached, I made that mistake and luckily was in a shallow part of the lake.

I was skeptical about the floaty's usefulness, but it works great. It floats as promised. It's scary taking the backdoor on and off initially, but I haven't had any issues after doing it a couple of times. If you want your Gopro to float, this is the product.

I picked this up to take with me on a recent cruise where I knew I would be swimming and might not be able to hold on to it at times, it ended up I was able to hold on to it the whole time and I purposely let go just to make sure that it would float up to the top and he could handle the weight of the camera, it succeeded without a problem and I'm sure if a need arose where it became detached or got lost out of hand that it would go to the surface like it should and you would be able to easily retrieve it then, for the few dollars I paid for it I consider it cheap insurance on a expensive camera, this item comes with 2 doors make sure you put the floaties on the correct one for your camera

Great for anyone using their GoPro camera near water. Floats well, & bright color makes it easy to see. *make sure to attach to the correct fitting back plate, I don't believe the attached sticky tape is meant to be removed and reattached*

Easy to install, easy to add to the GoPro kit and kept the GoPro from sinking when the squad and I went tubing. A much needed accessory for any water based activity.

This is exactly what I needed/wanted for extra protection for my GoPro. Especially considering I was planning on using this while on my JetSki. Works great. Fits perfectly. Only downfall is that the touchscreen can not be accessed anymore with this floating on the door. But I would rather NOT lose the GoPro. Floats nicely

The float attached easily and allowed us to utilize the Go Pro to its fullest without worrying about losing it. I would recommend this float for anyone using their GO Pro surfing, river rafting or snorkeling.

Cheap and great buy to protect our investments (gopro) Works great ! Does not allow camera to sink into the ocean, lake, or whatever water ur in ! Also being so bright and orange , it's easy to spot! Definitely a must have!

I use it as a safety in case the Go Pro comes off the harness and lands in the water. It's great because it floats and the bright color is easy to spot! Would recommend it to anyone that enjoys aquatic sports.

Not sure if you are a drops a lot type person, but I can be. Now that would've really sucked if I was in or over water. Thankfully I now have a tool to ensure I don't lose my $400 GoPro...

After seeing videos of recovered GoPros from the depths I knew I didn't want that to happen to action camera. The floaty keeps it up and the color is visible from a distance.

Definitely works well for Go Pro 3. Not so convenient for go pro 4 since the floaty backdoor covers the screen on the back of the go pro. minor inconvenience when in water but didn't have to worry about losing my go pro while in the water

this product has saved my gopro many times. The color is easily visible when i've dropped it into the lake while riding a PWC. It's buoyant enough to keep the gopro and battery bacpac afloat.
