Purchased to use in an unusual way: indoors, low light application, with the camera staying stationary. As others have noted, for extended periods of recording (in this case, over an hour for each continuous shot), the camera gets extremely hot. We set the resolution to its lowest setting and FPS. It performed very well for what we were trying to shoot, other than the excess heat that it generates, but that is to be expected for a sealed camera with very little air flow around it. For the majority of shots that are only a few minutes in length, or if used outdoors and on the move as it was intended to be used, it performs extremely well.

Awesome Quality. I use the Hero 10 for long-form shoots with a hardwired connection. It seems they have fixed the overheating problem on this generation as my previous go pro used to always overheat. Great Picture and ease of use.

Love the display on the front and the meatier battery! Amazing video quality and the stabilization helps out greatly! Kind of on the pricey side compared to previous versions but still a great action cam!

bought to record some personal projects and turns out im very impressed with the camera quality and how well it performs. the only draw back ive found is the battery life. Ive purchased one of the Enduro batteries and it does not perform much better than the standard one you recieve with the gopro. get a couple batteries and a charging bank. 10/10 would reccomend

There is a lot to like about this camera. I purchased 2 of them. I use these for professional productions where larger cameras just won’t work - usually because of their size. The image quality and color improve with every model upgrade. The quality suffers indoors and in low light conditions, visual noise removal is usually required. My biggest disappointment is that this camera will over heat and automatically shutdown. If set at 4k at 30 frames per second and run for 40 continuous minutes this camera will get too hot and shut down. This happens repeatedly. This is an engineering flaw that has been accepted. I mount these on the back of glass basketball backboards. I have yet been able to record an entire game. The battery life is long enough but the heat generated triggers the camera to shut down. It’s ruined several production shoots. I just can’t depend on it to perform its task. So, what’s a tool worth when you can’t depend on it?

Okay, first and foremost the audio/video quality is great. I have no complaints with that. What I don't like is how hot it gets when recording. I mean it is almost too hot to handle. I purchased this for a trip to Jamaica and when recording at the standard 4K, I think I was able to get 30-40min on a single charge. This isn't great in my humble opinion but is in line with most reviews.

I bought this because of the 5.3K video, but it turns out it overheats rather quickly when indoors, or in the summer. Outdoors during activity (biking) it is ok, then just the battery life is poor. Recommend to buy enough spare batteries and external charger. Charging in camera it never goes past 85% charge for me. It needs a good SD card, otherwise it fails to record often. GoPro promised an updated battery, and a new firmware soon. Would i buy this model again? No.

I was in awe of the quality of the videos and photos. I can easily take it with me everywhere I go. The best feature is the fact that it has two displays and I can see myself if I'm recording myself! Transferring the files to my phone is extremely easy using the GoPro Quik app. There are a ton of settings in the camera and you can set up preset filters for different activities.

Works great! Had to replace an older GoPro as batteries are no longer available. Camera is easy to use. Excellent video, even underwater.

Good quality videos. Don’t like that the battery doesn’t last long and it heats up… but if you play around with the settings you can better these issues.

Bought it for snorkeling trip. Has solid build quality and video quality @ 4K, but battery life is too short (lasts less than an hour) and gets quite hot pretty quick.

I really use it for my sports videos and it does serve the purpose perfectly. It fulfills all the neceassary requirements which i needed. The compact and great looks make it even better upon other things. I would recommend it for any video lover.

The camera is great. I used it to record religious events while on Umrah in Saudia Arabia and the videos were unbelievably clear, colorful and beautiful. Easy to carry and easier to use. Id only recommend to buy extra batteries.

It takes good videos/picture quality but the bad part about the GoPro is the battery life isn’t that good and dies quickly.

The picture quality is good and it catches the surrounding sounds good as well. The only thing that bothers me is how easily it over heats and cuts off recordings due to it over heating fast.

I’ve use this in about every type of situation you can find. It is very easy to set up, customize, and the resolution is phenomenal! I’ve stopped using my iPhone for filming and have replaced it with this. There has been two more versions come out since the GoPro 10, however this one is still pretty much the flagship!

Got this for recording on my bike. Had some real good shots on the highway and backroads. Other than it getting a little hot, its perfect and the support for it online is amazing. Highly reccomend.
