The camera is just great. I had to download the twelve page book of instructions. The people who sold it to me knew everything but I cannot bring them with me.

First off, I must state that I'm reviewing this product from the perspective of an " older non-techie guy ". My complaints are as follows: The camera cannot be hooked up to a power source when it is in it's case and mounted on a car dashboard. The viewfinder turns off after a couple of minutes, so you are blindly pointing it without being able to frame your shots. The camera, while having an awesome 180 degree lens, doesn't have zoom capabilities. I am in the process of exchanging this camera due to the fact it FREEZES during playback on occasion and has to have the battery removed to be rebooted before resuming viewing. I would say it's probably great for surfer/skateboarder kids to mount on their helmets or submerge in water, but for older folks wanting a easy to use video cam, I would look elsewhere.

I still have my first gopro unit, 2nd generation, and use them both while kayak fishing, mountain biking, etc. the latest version: gopro Hero4 silver is better than the black, in that the both shoot in 4k (with the silver having a lower frame rate), but the silver comes w/the lcd back, definitely a plus. hooked it up w/the remote and haven't been disappointed yet. highly recommended

This video camera takes great video, especially underwater! The pictures come out looking a little odd due to the wide-angle appearance, and the audio is very quiet when recording video in the plastic case. But otherwise, worked wonders during our honeymoon with lots of snorkeling!

GoPro is the leader in this field for a reason. Very simple to set up, unbelievable features and quality of video is second to none in this field. We've been using a Contour until upgrading to this product. The GoPro is light years ahead. Plus, switchable batteries are a must if you are trying to cover a long period of time. I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants to take POV videos, etc.

This camera is very good quality and has huge potential for doing creative photography. If there is one thing I would fault it is the documentation that comes with the camera. In order to discover the full potential of this device the manual should be downloaded at the minimum and better yet a stand alone book on this camera will be invaluable in unlocking it's full potential.

What's not to like ... it's a GoPro! Very happy we went with this one because we like the view screen on the back. Only drawback is the accessories are pricey.

I was choosing between this one and the black edition, and this offered so much more for the money! Took the go pro on a spartan race and it worked flawlessly!

I bought the go pro in anticipation of a family reunion in Cali and a Mexico vacation. My kids are having a blast with it and the movie software is awesome !

This Go Pro has worked well everywhere I take it. Under water, to theme parks, fishing. The only thing is sometimes when I film the screen just turns black and I have to press a button so that it begins to record again. i don't know if that is something just specific to mine.

It is handy, takes great videos and pictures, and so easy to use. I love it!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend and he enjoyed it while we went snowboarding. However it was defective but best buy glady gave us a new one.

This is my first GoPro Camera. Easy to operate and the picture quality was amazing.

Good resolution, good size, BUT have issues when mounting it on the handlebar of my mtn bike doing downhills, it vibrates so much resulting in a heady videos. Does anybody here has an idea on how to improve this issue? Thanks
