Really cool, but you have to do a lot of in and out when charging it. Wish it was easier to charge without taking it out of the protective case. It takes amazing pictures though!!!

It's been a year since I got my GoPro - HERO4 Silver. So far, it's been nothing but fantastic. Great videos and many potions to capture them as well, so many accessories to catch the perfect angle or shot. In life nothing is perfect and the GoPro is not the exception, I wish the battery life could last longer, specially if you want to record a Time or Night Lapse. Shooting a long sequence, I had to use a AC Power extension, plug it to an outlet for the whole time of the recording. The Silver Edition is easier to use than the Black Edition, mainly for the touch screen, so if you are planning to get your GoPro (for the first time) get the Silver. Going thru the menu on the Black can be a little annoying and/or frustrating.

I Have owned a few different GOPRO cameras (Hero, Hero2, and HERO3)!! I loved my my first Hero because it worked all the time and the battery life was decent the Hero 2 was OK but battery life and usability were a little tricky at times. My HERO 3 must have been a lemon because it never worked had memory card errors to battery errors and seemed like something every time I went to use it. Now for the HERO 4 Silver review!! It is awesome I have used it now for a couple months and have not had a single issue!! I links to my phone perfectly every time and to the GOPRO Smart remote with no problem!! (At different times that is) The touch screen makes it super easy to make changes quickly with out having to have your phone near by!! The picture and video quality is awesome!! I use my cameras in wet conditions and with the GOPRO you always know you wont have to worry about water getting in the camera!! Im happy to finally have a GOPRO that works every time I want to use it!!! I hated my Hero 3 a swore I would never by another gopro product but Im glad I ended up getting the 4!!!

It is small, waterproof and works great! Very easy to learn how to use and takes great pictures. It's high quality. The only downside is that the battery dies very quickly it only last about 3 hours recording. Another thing us that the lens get very hot if you use it a lot.

Went to a high performance driving school and bought the GoPro to take video. Used an aftermarket suction cup, which held the GoPro securely on the exterior of the car all day reaching speeds in excess of 120mph. The GoPro took great video and I was able to edit and convert it with GoPro's free editing software on my Mac. It also is available for Windows. The GoPro is easy to use and is pretty straightforward in it's overall operation. The download of video is as simple as plugging into your computer with the supplied USB 3.0 cable. There are a number of recording modes that can be used for 1080p/720p/480p at different fps rates. It has a 24fps setting that can be used ror uploading to YouTube, as well as higher frame rates that can be used for smoother video, if desired. I do recommend getting the largest capacity MicroSD card (up to the camera's 64GB limit) you can afford. I would also recommend at least one additional battery, particularly if you plan on using the camera for long periods of time.

I purchased the Hero 4 Silver because of the built in touchscreen. When someone tries to explain technology to me all I hear is Blah! Blah! Blah! Once I got the camera in my hands it all changed. First of all the touch screen just makes is so much easier. The camera is waterproof up to 131 feet. I have not tried it in water yet. It is 1080p60fps. Included standard housing, rechargeable battery, curved and flat adhesive mounts, 3 way pivot arm, quick release buckles, usb cable, skeleton and touch backdoors. It requires a class 10 or UHS -1 micro SD card. The camera is very light and very small. It has an ultra wide angle glass lens so you don't have to keep backing up to take a picture. There is built in wifi and bluetooth to support the Gopro app and Smart remote. Takes clean crisp pictures. Great video. My other video recorders do not even compare to this camera. I am still exploring the camera and can't wait till I can really put it to use. I would recommend getting the extended warranty. I plan to be very active with this camera and no telling what type of situation I will end up in. A new camera is much more expensive than a three year warranty plan. I plan on buying the Smart remote and a tripod, so far with use these two items would make things easier.

First action camera I've bought. I use my Sony NEX for most of my video, but needed something for more versatile shots. I tried a cheaper model of the Sony action cam and wasn't happy with the quality. This thing impressed me from the get go. Great quality, easy to use and the versatility is on point. The video time lapse feature in itself kept me busy for hours. I could've done with a slightly cheaper model, but with the built in lcd screen, it makes it easy to set up my shots. Only downside to his camera is the battery life, you will have to buy extra batteries if you want to use it for more than an hour. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants good quality video with some bells and whistles.

I am a photographer and have a DSLR that shoots stills and video but it isn't as weather proof nor water proof as the GOPRO is. I got this to preserve the DSLR and keep it out of harm's way while documenting outdoor activities which involve rain and water, like paddling, fishing, hiking, and camping. The Gopro can not only shoot stills and video but it can shoot time lapses and with the newer firmware that came out last year, the interface is simplified and allows this to take place with just a few settings of the easily accessible interface. The Silver Gopro Hero 4 has a touch screen on the back which allows one to compose a shot as well as interact with the operating system menus and as such the was of use is much increased with this new feature. It comes with it's own application which works well on my MacBook pro, and it also has an iOS app which allows remote control over Bluetooth. This is a great little action camera designed for ease of use and portability and durability.

This is my first sports camera. I am blown by endless possibilities that this camera has. I'm not going to compare it to prior models or break-down a comparison to other action cams. This GoPro is absolute stunner with video quality, FoV (Field of View, 170 degrees in wide mode), durability, light weight, small footprint and what not. The casing (housing) it comes with, seems very strong and rated 40 meter waterproof. This thing takes bare minimum space in your bag, pockets or wherever you want to keep it. It has an extensive menu where you can select different video, photo modes. You can install GoPro app in your smartphone and control your camera effortlessly only caveat is that it drains your battery which itself is weak. My suggestion would be to get a batterpac so that you can continue to shoot for longer duration without worrying. Limitations, you need an extensive set of accessories to make your GoPro very useful. I have 3 way tripod, BatteryPac, Head Mount, Suction Mount.
