I had a gopro hero 3+ and debated whether to upgrade, mainly because of the LCD screen and higher camera resolution. The upgrade was worth it as the screen makes the camera so much more usable. It probably does hurt battery life but I would always carry a couple of extra batteries anyway. The picture quality improvement is also noticeable

Absolutely love my GoPro! Perfect for water activities and so easy to upload onto computers/phones/etc. I take this with me everywhere I go, not only when water is involved. I had been wanting one for a pretty long time and finally got it and am so glad I did. Super easy to use and figure out how to navigate through, definitely worth it.

Just bought this camera a few weeks ago ... this is a great camera for on the go ... very small in size but easy to use and very easy to carry. I have quite a few cameras but none can surpass this camera for video or action pictures. I have nothing but good to say about this powerful media tool ... I'm astounded by it's capabilities !!!

Well, the GoPro4 silver is everything I thought it would be. Better, most of the reviews I read before purchasing were spot on. A few things I can note, however (these are not negatives, just observations) 1. Can take a while to figure out....at least for me it was not simply a plug and play. 2. Definitely take everyone's advice to have at least 2 batteries it uses power as one would expect I guess with how much computing it is doing. 3. Along the same line, the camera runs very warm. 4. Be aware that you can take humongous amounts of electronic space up on your computer in the snap of a finger. It is not like taking a bazillion digital pictures. The high quality videos captured on the camera take up a surprising (to me anyway)) amount of space. 5. Having never really seen one I was pleasantly surprised with its petite size. They have a tremendous amount of power packed into that little case. 6. As much fun as it is to own, I would not recommend it to someone who just wants a video camera to take video pictures of their kids. Get just a regular camera you can just pick up and shoot with so that you don't miss any of those "awww" moments. 7. Pictures are beautiful. love it!

Used the gopro on our trip to Cancun. The main reason we got the Gopro was because it was small and it can be used underwater. It worked well under water and with no water damage to the camera. We are still learning how to use the camera. Some cons I'd say is that for us it was a little hard to turn off the camera as it requires pressing two buttons at the same time. One of the buttons is the action button, so we get these random pictures or videos if we didn't turn it off properly. The battery is quite short if used to intensively.

For so long i wanted a go pro camera since i like to be outdoors all the time. Now that I have this camera I can capture all the great moments and places I discover. Great quality, very easy to manage and the best part of all is its size, small, and is not that heavy. Works perfect! i would totally recommend it to anyone!

Took this on vacation to the islands and used it with the chest strap accessory. Took crystal clear video and was easy to operate with touch screen. I do recommend having a second charged battery handy.

Got this for my husband. He does a lot of outdoor activities and has been drooling over these. I had gotten the 4 silver. This is a option I wanted for him because of the touch screen. I must say he loves that and it makes it very easy!! Only complaint is the price. Wish these didnt have to be so expensive!

I LOVE THIS CAMERA. NOT ONLY USE IT AS AN ACTION CAMERA BUT ALSO AS A DAILY LOG CAMERA. NOT GREAT IN LOW LIGHT BUT NOTHING A GOOD SOFTWARE AND COMPUTER CAN'T FIX. SMALL AND COMPACT ENOUGH TO TAKE IT ANYWHERE. I JUST WISH IT HAD A MOUNTING HOLE AT THE BOTTOM AND NOT HAVING TO BUY AN EXTRA ONE TO MOUNT IT.

We took this camera on vacation, it was awesome!. The wide angle lens on the camera takes amazing photographs. The waterproof case works perfect, and the pictures are awesome. The camera takes slower pictures in dark light, still have a lot to learn about this terrific little camera!

The Hero4 is a great product for life's active moments. Easy to use, waterproof, has excellent resolution, and takes great videos. We used it during our Caribbean cruise for underwater video and photos with Stingrays, and hiking up the falls. Great for activities on land or water.

This camera is so easy to use and lots of fun. It is so small that you can easily take it any where you are - even under water. Being able to get great quality while moving is priceless for a mom on the go. Love the business uses as well. Uploading all you stuff is quick and easy.

I love this camera! It's great for use as an actions sports camera, for water use, and even just for use as a regular camera. It is such great quality and I love the fish eye kind of effect it adds. I have used the mounts and they are all super easy and convenient to use.

I read a ton of reviews before finally deciding on the GoPro Hero 4 silver. I am not disappointed - this is a great action Cam! I have mine mounted to the from of my motorcycle helmet, and get some great shots. If you are doing anything which may result in wind noise, I would encourage you to pic up the external MIC adapter and a MIC to tuck away. I was initially concerned with a number of reviews which mentioned issues with memory cards, but the two 64GB cards that I am using have had no issue. Make sure you get a card fast enough to support your video needs (search online and you will find the charts).

Camera works great. Great quality high definition. so far have used for downhill skiing, snowmobiling, pictures. Small but a very good camera. Looking forward to many more adventures with it. Will take it to camp this summer. Easy to use & transport. Great battery life.

I love the size and easy to use feature of this camera. It takes amazing pictures. I took it cliff jumping in Northern Michigan and I was able to get action pictures even while jumping into the water.

The Hero4 is one of the best little action cameras around, taking everything I liked about the Hero3+ Black. It offers versatile shooting modes, excellent video quality and 4K recording capable. Hero4 Silver adds some new features including a touch-screen and improved menu system for easy access to settings and configurations. What makes it a head-scratcher is its short battery life for some and you can’t use old batteries.

I purchased the Go Pro hero 4 silver as a second camera. I now have the hero 4 silver and the hero 3+ black. They are both excellent cameras from their user friendly capabilities to compatibility with iphone to simple video editing and endless possibilites. You can mount the cameras to anything you can imagine. The offered accesories also make the possibilites endless. I use my camera mainly for capturing photos/videos on the golf course as well as many water sports in the summer and skiing/snowboarding in the winter. I highly recomend any GoPro product. Do not make the mistake of buying the cheaper imitation brands of action cameras. Spend the extra money and buy the GoPro. You will not be disappointed.

The camera is solid and works great. Two issues : first was the Samsung memory card-do not use this type of memory card with it-this card will read card needs reformatting-then card error and you must go get another card before you use it. I found this out in the middle of a memory I was trying to record. Second: the sound is not good...go pros can pick up sound but very faintly and must be out of all plastic housing. If you want sound buy something else. I use it in a quite class room about three feet from the instructor-I'm able to hear him without the housing-but volume on computer playing back (on high). Good luck-over all I like the go pro- but just these two issues.

This is a great product that is easy to use. May want to purchase a case for the camera to use while traveling. Mine was on accidentally so the first time I went to use it, no battery power. Other than that it works great in the water and on land.
