I bought the HERO4 Silver after owning the session for several months. The video quality is awesome and love the recording angle of 180 degrees, which can cover a wide angle of video. I have used it to record my son's Jiu Jitsu competitions and sparring session. I can't wait for the weather to clear up so that I can record while riding my long board along the lake front. It is easy to use and edit videos on your computer with the GoPro video editor. If you purchase this and have a smartphone, do yourself a favor and get the GoPro app to view or transfer videos and even upload them to Facebook, instagram and YouTube.

this is my first time buying an action camera like this. I even had difficulties when opening the package XD. luckily there are bestbuy guy helping me to open it. let me be honest, at first i don't know how to operate this thing. after i learned the manual book and downloaded the app for iphone, i realized that this camera is the best action cam you could find today. the price is really expensive compared to other brand, but I have to tell you that the price is totally worth it. the clear casing with 3 different backdoor is included in the package. the only downside is this camera doesn't come with the charger. you have to buy it separately for the charger, and we have to buy another wall charger if you dont want to bring your laptop around to charge this camera battery.

When researching the GoPro cameras, I knew I wanted one a LCD screen. When using regular digital cameras, I could not imagine one without a LCD screen. The only two choices are the GoPro 4 Silver and GoPro+ LCD. I also have replaceable batteries for my cameras in case I run out of juice during the day and the GoPro+ LCD does not have a removable battery. That leave the GoPro 4 Silver with the best feature set. Nothing worse than a dead battery. For the people who want better resolution the Black version may be better, but I do not need 4K video (yet) and prefer the screen to higher resolution. My case came without a small scratch on the back case over the screen area which is annoying, but I guess the case will get scratched over time anyway.

This was a surprise for my 14 year old son. He worked a huge outdoor project for us at home when we were really busy working and he had the summer off. He has not stopped finding amazing uses for this product. He uses it for school projects, with friends making silly videos, in soccer practice to review their skills, and even while in the woods hunting. There is no end to what he can use this for. He is able to upload and edit the files himself on my pc without issues. I would absolutely recommend!

Hello everyone! It took me a long time to actually purchasea GoPro camera. I wanted to see how it was used, how great the quality of photos and video it took. All i can say is, I do not regret this purchase at all!! It has been my best friend since i bought. I am most impressed at how well it takes underwater video. It's beautiful to see. I recommend this to anyone who wants to capture lifes moments. I took the camera ona trip to the Grand Canyon and I returned with some amazing photos. I do recommend you buy the bluetooth remote only because using the app can drain your cell phone battery. I don't use the LCD screen display as much but it is a great feature to have if you're using your camera and don't have your laptop near buy.

Versatile and easy to use. Compact and shoots awesome HD video and 12MP pictures. So many optional mounts available to use for almost every vehicle or need for shooting action videos. I used to have an old school Mini DV camera that sat in the closet. I finally decided to move into the new age with Micro SD storage and HD quality and do NOT regret the move. I've used it recently while zip lining and with the helmet mount, you get some crazy awesome footage. I've also attached it to my bike (with the handle bar mount) while riding road and off road courses. I've also used the free GoPro Studio software for editing the video clips. Highly recommended for anyone looking to have some fun and get great memories in the process.

I bought the hero 4 Silver as a Upgrade to the Hero 3 White edition, huge Difference!! i almost purchased the hero 4 black but I really like that the hero 4 silver offered the Touch LCD screen on the back and was $100 cheaper, the video is so clean and sharp, looks amazing, the super wide angle lens is just beautiful, you get so much in frame it's ridiculous!! also GoPro has released a firmware update for all Hero 4 models that's adds some great features that were not available before the upgrade, by far my best purchase I have made within the past year!!

I do a lot of photography but wanted to be able to have video of my son's sporting events and this works well. I'm still getting used to all of the features, but having the touch screen is awesome and in my opinion it was worth not paying more for the Hero 4 Black and not getting the touchscreen. I use it all the time! The only downside of the Go-Pro is the camera itself is only a portion of the investment - I've spent a lot on spare batteries, multiple microSD cards, tripod and different mounts, etc, but I didn't buy the camera to not be able to use it and all of those accessories make sure I'm always ready with a way to mount it, a card to record on, and a charged battery to power it.

This camera takes great video in any situation and is small and easy to mount onto just about anything. Works great on motorcycles and bicycles.

This is the first camera of this type for us, but what stands out is the superb quality of the photos and video. Our only issue is the length of the battery, but we understand the battery length on this camera is pretty much the standard. When we first tried it, we put it on our dashboard of the truck as we travelled through Montana and could not believe how clear the photos were and the scope of the photo. The camera doesn't just capture directly in front of the camera but provides a panoramic photo or video that is amazing - on the highest resolution. Although it was originally purchased for fishing trips, we now take it on all our trips.

This is a great camera because it shoots good quality still photos as well as videos. The size and versatility of being waterproof allows me to take it with me on any adventure,

I own an older model of the GoPro Hero and recently decided it was time for an upgrade. The GoPro Hero 4 Silver is simply amazing! I love the built-in LCD screen and the wifi feature that works with the GoPro app on my smartphone. It makes posting photos on social media super easy. I also printed 4x6 photos from the stills I took with my GoPro Hero 4 Silver and they look just as good as the photos from my Canon DSLR. If you're thinking about getting a GoPro Hero 4 Silver, get one! You'll love it!

This is my first GoPro product and it doesn't disappoint. The flexibility of this camera is incredible. The video is crystal clear and the wide angle ensures that you will capture everything. The photos it takes are decent enough to use, nothing like a DSLR or anything, but if you need to take a photo it will do. You can also export frames from your video as a photo. The only downside to this camera is the battery life. The most I've gotten out of the battery is about two hours. Spare batteries are a must.

The GoPro Hero 4 Silver is an excellent camera for action shots and experiences you want to document in motion. We've used the item while skiing, at a theme park, and around our home. The technology is simple to use and can sync with a smartphone for quick feedback. My only issue is not with the camera's performance, but the various items and accessories you need to purchase to make it functional for outdoor sporting activities. I highly recommend purchasing extra batteries as I barely made it through a half day of skiing and filming, even when shooting in short bursts and turning the device off when not in use.

Small, Easy to Use, Great Picture. We bought this to put on the front of out motorcycle. Haven't used it yet because it's still winter, but I think it will work great.

The new go Pro is so awesome! Easy to use with great videos and pictures. I love the touch screen very user-friendly. Took it snowboarding yesterday and it was amazing!

Pros - Well built, easy to use, takes amazing photos and videos. Cons - no SDS card or case included and all the extras chest strap, etc are very pricey.

I bought this (along with a ton of mounts and other accessories) for a 4 hour road rally in and around Los Angeles. This is my first GoPro and I was a little skeptical at first about mounting a $400 camera to the side of my car all day, but those worries quickly vanished. The video recorded at 1080p was fantastic during playback and great for editing. The wind noise (while even in a sealed enclosure) was too much to overcome though. The only real shortfall is battery life. This thing will eat through batteries like a pack of Oreo cookies. If you're continuously recording with the LCD Pack on and/or using the Smartphone App Controller, it's even worse. You'll manage about 30 mins before you'll need to swap in a new battery. Buy a handful of replacements and keep them nearby and you'll be good to go - don't be afraid to go third party, many of them work just as well as the GoPro branded ones. Overall I'd definitely recommend one to anyone who's interested in compact, easy, action recording with HD results.

I decided to purchase this camera for my summer abroad, and I'm really glad I did! The quality is amazing and it's really easy to use. I'm a big fan of the screen as well.
