The GoPro camera is an awesome device. It is kind of pricey but you get what you pay for.

My son loves this and I like watching the adventurous movies he comes up with. Since this is not the newest version, watch for price drops. We had a few but Best Buy was great about matching the price for so many days after purchase. The 4 stars instead of 5 is I have almost double the purchase price in buying accessories for this product. It can be something that you can can get add ons for birthday's or special occasions.

I purchased the GoPro silver a couple months ago and I am in love with it! The features are awesome and the pictures turn out great, super clear and focused. The wide angle is what got me hooked it's amazing. It's light weight and pocket size which is even better.

I love the goPro. Especially for vacations or anything active. Works well under water too.

Great camera for catching the action and showing point of view. Pay attention to the settings. My daughter left the video on the wide setting which gives it a fisheye type of view (which she prefers) but you might think about setting it on the medium or narrow. You don't 'get the distortion on the edges so you can grab lots of stills from the video without having to actually take stills. One thing to be aware of: since the camera is so small you will most like have it on a pole of some type or one of the body/head/helmet/etc mounts. If using a pole that has a wrist strap, make sure whatever is used to attach the wrist strap to the pole does not make noise as you move around. The one we bought was a short stubby one that provided flotation when around water but it had a metal loop on the wrist band attachment. You can hear that rattling in ALL the videos. I will be investing in some type of rubber covered ring or at least a little tape next time.

Easy to use and a lot of fun. Great for taking to the beach and shooting from the Jet Skii.

I bought this for my husband as a Valentine's gift and he keeps finding more and more things he can do with it. I didn't know there wasn't a zoom, but other than that the features are great.
