Camera does what it was designed to do.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After taking a utv to AZ early this year and riding trails across the desert and in the mountains I decided a still frame camera just doesn't do it justice. Thus the GoPro Hero 4 Silver for a trip early 2017. My comments are based on my trial test on my 4 acre property following a winding ditch and filming both sides. The camera does what it was designed to do and does it well after wading through the owners manual. My complaint is GoPro assumes everyone is a tech person and in my opinion the owners manual isn't as informative as it could be for a GoPro video novice. Thanks to Google and You Tube, I'm up and running. Now let's address the many devices required to mount this camera to a Yamaha Rhino UTV. Mine has a glass windshield and I chose the suction cup mount for mounting. Unfortunately it requires several pieces to achieve proper angles/tilt, etc. and each piece adds more vibration to the point the mount could not be used. Plan B was a roll bar mount attached to the front bumper, which is the most vibration free place to mount it. Again, the GoPro engineers find it necessary to add to many pieces to the mix and it still vibrates to much. My solution will be to devise a clamping system that will use the square platform that the camera was attached to in the display box, which will attach the camera to the bumper using a total of 2 solid GoPro pieces, with quick detach, and they didn't cost extra.

Battery life could be better however. I highly recommend having a couple extra batteries handy if you're going to be away from a power source to charge.
