I know they keep saying there is an overheating issue on the Hero5 but I've recorded this for several events for more than 2 hours at a time and have never had an issue. The Hero6 looks great and shoots great video but really, I don't see the reason to upgrade right now, if you can get a Hero5 its more than worth the money!

Great product: camera is super high quality. The display is awesome so you can view photos and videos right away. I have had older GoPros and this was had improved so much. If planning on going scuba diving (even if above 33 feet which is the recommended depth you can go with the camera) you should get the additional case.

This camera is great for underwater filming. It captures great video at 4k resolution and it is very simple to use.

The GoPro is a perfect camera for capturing underwater moments. I recommend to get a red filter to ensue colors come out the way you want them to. I’ve been experiencing some errors while under water, which makes me value its reliability a bit low, but for overall pertomance and usability, I think it’s great.

This GoPro works very well, and the video is super crisp. But I was pretty disappointed with the battery life of this device, which is why I ended up returning the device. If I was someone who used these type of cameras more often I would have just got more batteries but as someone who is more of a casual user it wasnt worth it for me to get about an hour of recording before dying.

There are so many new features on this GoPro, one of the best is the voice activated camera! The voice activation is great for when you are on adventures, like tubing in Kauai. Also great that there is no need for housing because it is waterproof.

Although I've not used it to its full potential YET! What I've been able to capture is what I expected. I received the survey too soon to be able to give it a 5 star because I've yet to utilize the camera for a longer period, but so far I got what I expected in size, quality and ease of use for the price I paid.

Great camera for action use around water. It's still a bit expensive but the video quality is very good compared to other cheaper cameras which claim to be high def but only get to 720 resolution. one thing I would seriously consider buying it from OTHER THAN Best Buy because one other attachment I returned unopened after only 17 days with receipt they would ONLY give a store credit being over 15 days.. if my daughter had not liked the $400 plus camera I would have had to get a $400 store credit instead of a return to my credit card. very poor store policy having only 15 day return policy... for unopened items with receipt...makes you realize why so many people buy online since Best Buy is getting so petty.

When I first used the Hero 5 I didn't know what I was doing and a result that was a little grainy in low light. I maxed out the frames per second etc. I found this to be exciting as I continued to get better. Now I'm taking extremely high quality video and I'm shocked at how good it looks on the big screen TV.

I absolutely love it, I take it just about everywhere with me. The only downfalls for me are the rapid battery drainage and that their are no zoom capabilities. It's an amazing picture and video quality

My wife and I decided to purchase a GoPro to record our son, who was almost 1 at the time, and his soon to be many adventures of the beginning of his little life. It has proven to be invaluable! Our son will be 3 in a few short months and the amount of memories it has captured for us, especially from his POV because I can trust that if he decides to toss it in some water that it’ll be safe, have been the best. This thing is produced amazing quality videos. The voice commands have been extremely helpful and the app controls are great too. Will definitely be picking up a 7 or maybe wait until 8 or 9 because this 5 is still performing like a champ.

The go pro hero series has to be the best set of action cameras for consumers out there. Our 12 year old uses it for great view points when he plays hockey and did not need much instruction. Such an easy device and the interface is intuitive as well as robust with features. The only issue I would have is without accessories, it's just a waterproof camera. The accessories from Go Pro are the best quality but almost 3-5 times more expensive that cheaper knockoffs. We went with a kit we found online and so far it's serving our needs just fine. Wish the vendor would stop being greedy and lower its accessory prices or create cheaper kits like other companies are doing. All in all, a great camera!

One of the best purchases for the money. This video camera is ready to use. You can mount it just about anywhere and get super high quality footage. You can create stunning video by using It in various positions. I've mounted it to the handle of a running boat and got back some very steady footage and not much unnecessary movement be caused from all the up and down from the waves at high speeds on the boat. It can be submerged underwater with no additional enclosure. If your going to use it for water activities I highly recommend some sort of aftermarket floating enclosure. This camera is must for advanced users and beginners who want to capture that special moment in high quality video or image

This so easy to use, Takes really good pictures, even at high speeds. Accessories are little pricy though.

I have used this camera several times its absolutely awesome. It's easy to use and takes awesome video up to 4K. The audio recording is great as well. The ability to speak to the camera to record or take a photo is just terrific. I recommend this camera to anyone looking for an action camera and waterproof.

This go pro is amazing!! It take beautiful pictures and video. It takes them above water and under water and they are crisp, clear, and simply beautiful. This is our first go pro and we didn't read the product instructions until we were already on vacation. It was easy to understand, I highly recommend it.

Got this camera on sale before our vacation. Amazing clarity! Also used it under water and worked great. Wife put together an edited video of entire vacation to music and loved it. Only drawback is there is no zoom. Saw a lot of people using sticks to hold it. Definitely our next purchase!

Great camera for underwater use. No zooming feature though, and no flash...so keep that in mind. Also, the battery charge doesnt last long, keep another one handy. For charging the battery, you have to remove the waterproof case every time. Great pictures though, and the voice feature is very useful too.

It's fun to use outdoors and capture some amazing photos and video. We're going to use it more for trips, but takes some great photos locally on hikes, at the beach, and in amusement parks. This is my first GoPro so using it took a little time to get used to, but it's easy enough after a few times.

There were a lot of negative reviews for this camera, but I took a leap of faith and went ahead and purchased it. It was the well worth the money. The bundle was worth the purchase. I loved having the chest piece. I got all the best roller coasters at 1080p. It is Water proof as we did take it on some water rides, but we did not dive under water with it. The battery lasted us the whole day, but what I did was I waited till I was on the ride and then turn it on. As soon as the ride was over and we existed I then turned it off. I was able to make the battery last the whole day, but have a back up battery is nice. I would highly recommend it.
