Great product, just small enough but not too small. Takes great pictures. Videos? WOW AMAZING. Get backup battery last but not least Voice command works.

We have use this multiple times and the quality is amazing! The go Pro app is even better makes the coolest videos by clipping your videos together, easy to share on social media! I’ve got so many compliments, The videos look professional!

The instructions on how to get it out of the mount and open the camera are unclear, at best. The touch screen lags a little, but makes controlling the camera a breeze. Controlling the camera from my phone is also great; I have not tried the voice activation yet. So far, I have just made short videos while learning, but I can see where the battery life will be an issue, so I will need to get a back up or two for full days on the go. I tried GoPro's editing software, but I will probably use another program that lets me put my own music with the videos. The videos that I make will strictly be for myself, family, and friends, nothing published where copyrights are an issue. Other than reading reviews, I do not really have a lot to compare it to and I am just getting started, so I will probably have a more comprehensive opinion in six months.

GoPro has finally made a powerful camera that is easy and convenient to use. The touch screen interface makes it very easy to change settings and it works really well. I love how you can start recording immediately just by pushing the record button. However if you would like to turn it on without recording you can push the button on the side. The voice command works extremely well and its very fast. By the time you get done saying your command it is already doing whatever you asked. The only negative things I would have to say about it are that the doors (battery compartment and charging ports) on it can be hard to open because they have to be sealed water tight. Sometimes when you close the doors it is hard to tell if they are completely closed or not. The other negative aspect which I am not 100% sure about yet is how hard it will be to change setting with the touch screen wet. The touch screen will not work in water and might not work as well if its even slightly wet or in the snow. There should be a way to change the settings via the buttons but I have not figured this out yet. The quality and versatilty of this camera makes it a great bargin and worth every penny. I would highly recoomend this camera to anyone for almost any type of use.

I’m a fairly new GoPro user and have a couple older models I decided to order from GoPro directly but customer service is horrible so I turned to bestbuy what a great experience I was able to get a good price with the sale included a very nice Sd card and best of all Same day pickup .... since then I have traveled and used it frequently decent battery life depending on your settings and I love the touch screen overall easy use whether just starting or wanting to mess with the pro tune options . Best purchase so far

The App makes using this GoPro very easy to use. The Voice command feature makes this very convenient and user friendly, Image quality if terrific!

A great camera in a small package. I love that you can take pics and video in normal mode (not fisheye).

Great picture quality. I use this in my hikes, rides on my motorcycle and just about any other outdoor activity I am involved in. The camera captures great video. You will not be disappointed. Battery life is great but get spares.

Purchased it for my trip to Hawaii. Was thrilled with it. Great movies of the sea life while snorkeling. Held up very well in the mud and rain while hiking in the mountains.

This is the best GoPro yet. I really love the voice commands, 1 button power/record, automatic orientation and the built in touch screen display.

I'm not much of a photographer, but wanted to buy this product for my vacation and I'm glad I did! I looked up the best settings for video, photo, and time-lapse photos online and the results have been fantastic. I haven't edited any photos or videos since I just got back from my vacation, but the resolution is on-point. This camera has been used under swimming pool, fresh water, and sea water with no problem. I dropped the camera few times during my vacation and the camera did not get damaged except for few scratches on the body.

I have a go pro hero3 that I stopped using a year ago because it never worked properly and I was tired of disappointing movies. I never really knew if it was although I had the monitor screen attached I usually shot form a head strap, so I couldn't be sure it was filmong. The batteries(I had 3 of them) would constantly die and it was so hard and difficult to change during an activity I stopped using it. The Hero 5 is so much better that I can honestly recommend to buy a Go Pro 5. So far I have no problems and 4k video is super good.

Got the GoPro Hero 5 Black for an upcoming trip. I tested it out around the neighborhood and the videos are super clear. There are a lot of shooting options for the desired video or photo effect you would want. I'm looking forward to taking it in the water but have not yet. I don't think this could replace a digital slr but if I'm going to drop something and not be worried about it this is the thing to drop. Very durable. Also got in pockets very easy. Only thing I could recommend is a second battery. Other than that it's great.

Very good quality you’d expect from a go pro. Great features like voice control are a plus. My only complaint is that when I would download the pics on my iPad through Bluetooth and then delete the photos on the go pro it would just stay on the deleting screen so I would have to turn it off and turn it back on and the pics would be deleted.

The camera is great. The only issue I have is that the front lens cover gets smudged easy and causes bad glares on the video if it's not constantly cleaned. It's hard not to touch the front lens cover due to the fact it's an action camera. I wish GoPro would provide two front lens covers at the purchase instead of the one already on it. Also the battery life could be better but I know they've already made improvements on that since the previous GoPro Hero 4. Overall though, the camera is awesome and I'm very pleased with it.

I’ve used this only a few times but so far it is great. Using it as a still cam isn’t really the best option but video is crystal clear. I haven’t tried the under water features but I’m expecting to do so as soon as my snorkeling gear gets here. Using the phone app with the camera is kind of ok but it lags and to be honest it kills the battery way to fast so I wouldn’t advice using it. Other than that I would say purchase a spare battery and a portable charger and you will be in business.

I bought this camera for a vacation to Hawaii. It was awesome to have a ultra high definition camera that I could take anywhere in all conditions whether it was swimming, hiking, sightseeing, or whatever. I got a lot of good out of the floating handle accessory as well as the head mount accessory. I loved the fact that I could post my photos and videos to social media using the blue tooth and the app for my Android phone. Go Pro is the best! The small size makes it even more convenient!

I've had tons of action cams, GoPro and others, but this is the best of all! Easy to use intuitive on screen menu, voice control and 4k!
