Like the voice commands to activate and stop. Quality pictures are good. A little complicated to use at first, need to read the manual online. Small, compact and light.

We took this camera on our Cruise. Mounted the camera on a chest harness and it worked great for those tour like clips. Also took it parasailing and zip lining. The quality of the video was excellent and the sound, too. We gave it to our son to take some shots while he was playing in the swimming pool and going down the water slides on ship and those were some fun and cool shots. Cool and easy little camera.

Bought for my boyfriend for our trip to Cabo so we could have pictures worked great and all associated apps to compile and edit photos and videos were also awesome

This camera is so cool. Got it to take on hunting trips. Super easy to use right out of the box (I'm a novice at these). The voice activation feature is excellent, the touch screen is nice and pretty responsive. Got the dog harness to put on my bird dog, and the image stabilization feature makes a big difference when he's running.

If you are someone who love activities and shoot them to have great memories and don't want to use huge bulky digital cameras then GoPro's are the best available to accompany the needs and the quality of the camera is par high level and one would never regret on having one. More over this is a waterproof monster.

Good things about this camera is the price for what you now get with the 4K video and water proof to 33ft. The only things to consider is if you use this camera for Scuba diving. You have to buy the case which is $50 now instead of being included. Also some of the controls are a little difficult to use underwater due to the new voice control feature. I still can't figure out how to turn the camera off unless I can speak the command. So obviously thus feature is useless underwater.

We love the GoPro and have used it several times on vacation underwater, and on land. The pictures and video are good quality, and it is light and very easy to use. The salesperson at Best Buy was very knowledgeable and helpful when deciding what we needed for a case, batteries, and memory.

Every GoPro I have ever owned has malfunctioned, even though I take meticulous care of photography equipment. We'll see how this one does but I love the build quality, audio, visual and stabilization. Took video of whales while in a boat and it performed beautifully. I disliked having to repurchase every single dive related piece of equipment, more batteries, a new charger, etc. It really added up.

I have been on the fence about getting a GoPro for about a year now. I've eve purchased then returned one twice, just because I changed my mind! Finally I found out they were coming out with a 4K voice activated one, so I was ready to pull the trigger. Best decision I ever made. GREAT quality, basically indestructible, and I'm really liking the voice control. Must buy for any concert goer or traveler.

I bought this for my 12yr old son. The operation of the camera is very simple, especially for just starting. There are advanced features that we have not used yet but we were able to easily operate for some great video footage snow skiing. When we played the videos back for others to see they were in awe of the picture quality, as well as the stability of the picture while we were skiing downhill.

I'd don't use those terms lightly, so when I say "near perfection", that's a claim that you can take to the bank! Just returned from a ski trip and this new Hero5 performed FLAWLESSLY. Not only has the battery life improved, I was able to run the Hero all day long, even with WIFI on!! Granted, I was actually FILMING, but still, I never had to change the battery after a day of grab-shots and quick clips along the way. The VOICE COMMAND IS GENIUS!!!! Wow...what a game-changer. Works SOOOO well, even when on a helmet as I was skiing! Not 100%, depending on wind, but man...sure a ton better than a remote or finger fumbling. The important thing is imagery, and the Hero 5 is great. Having RAW files to tweak is the only way to go. 4K video makes for epic views. So, nothing to complain about. The software continues to get better and is great for reviewing your day and downloading some shots to your iPhone. The QUIK app is so cool and makes videos on the fly. GoPro is a class-act with quality and product design. They stand alone in the field and have no competition.

Bought the 5 as an upgrade from the hero 4. Only had ot for a few days and the 6cMe out so I returbed and bought the Hero 6. Still the 5 was great

GoPro makes great cameras that last a long time, but they're expensive for that luxury. While I like the cameras, the Yi models are far superior for the bang-for-the-buck. Also, the 4K+ is capable of 4K60fps, which this is not, and it has a higher bitrate capability. It's still a great camera, and the removable battery makes this my choice over the Session5, because I often need to shoot in the cold, where a single battery will die too fast
