Video is great, but battery life is poor-- runs only about 30 minutes on a full charge, so had to re-charge multiple times on trip to Grand Canyon and several other western national parks. And, like most other old fogies, I wish it had more of a manual with it than it does, rather than having to look up everything online. Have not tried editing video, yet-- hope I can use I-Movie with it.

Good Camera for underwater.It will be nice if you can zoom in or out while underwater.

I bought this before we went to Mexico so I can take pics and videos its waterproof and the size is great. The only thing I forgot to buy is a remote coz even though go pro has a voice control It doesnt understand my accent lol. And also you must have a extra battery.

I am happy with this gopro hero 5, I already own a gopro hero plus, and the hero 5 is a great addition. Good quality, nicely built, I like the Bluetooth connectivity to my iPhone, I use it mostly for recording drumming videos, I like the wide angle on it, and the ability to take out the battery, great purchase!

We see why the Hero 5 is more money than other models. Our 15 year old Son is really into this. He has already made some great videos that appear to be professional quality. Time lapse and slow motion features are incredible to watch! Easy to use, even for Mom and Dad!

This latest go pro makes it easy to go from dry land to under water without having to stop and put a waterproof case on it. The picture is amazing and the wind reduction/stabilization makes the video clear and easy to watch. Can't wait to use it in my trip to Thailand!

Bought this camera to film my trips across the U.S. but it ended up being used for a lot more than that. Picture quality was amazing. And it's ease of use and digital display are awesome features to have. Love being able to do so much with such a small device.

This is my first GoPro so I had huge expectations with all of the hype! I do like it and enjoy how small it is... plus the waterproof factor and ability to take RAW images are nice. It does feel a bit sloppy to me but it could be user error! I feel like I need more time to really learn how to use it properly. Oh, the battery life is not so great... I bought a backup battery a few weeks later!

Overall this camera takes good video and works great underwater. However if you plan on using this camera for family photographing or such ,this is not the camera for it, it can't zoom in and the photos have this wierd round effect. overall good camera for recording in action events like with a body strap.

We already had a Hero plus LCD and it took terrific video, but the Hero 5 Black is really worth the extra money. It is completely waterproof without a case. It is easier to use with better touchscreen menus. The quality is stunning and the battery life is very good.

Really easy to use. Upgraded from the hero to this and it's very user friendly.

My son used his Go-pro fishing in Colorado. Very clear and great quality video.

This camera takes great video and pictures.. It has voice command and it's waterproof. I couldn't ask for anything more. If you're in the market for an action camera, I recommend you go with this gopro

This is my second GoPro, I previously had the Hero 4 Silver. This camera is simple to use and produces amazing results in audio and video quality. The menus are easy to navigate, getting to the desired mode is simple, and actually recording is a one button push.

I recently purchased this go pro hero 5 black and I must say it is fantastic. Shoots in amazing quality, settings and touch screen are easy to use, and shoots in a variety of different qualities based on the frame rate. You can do anything with this camera.

Never had one of these before and i really enjoyed using it to make videos!!!! only bad thing is that it's hard to be compatiable with the Mac Imovie bc it's such great quality (which is also a great problem bc it's good quality). 100% would recommend especially w the accessories. ALSO LOVE THEVOICE CONTROL!!! it's so great to have but could use some touch ups. Has come in handy tho
