I know there are other products out there at a lesser price for almost as good quality, but GoPro and their ecosystem is trusted, reputable, and their customer service is top notch. This is a great product for those that don't use it every day, go on vacation and partake in the occasional extreme sport, also filmmaking without going all out for the Hero6.

Use it for hot air ballooning. Does a great job. Highly recommend.

First time user of a go-pro and this was easy to set up and use. great quality, good on the go and got great action pictures-- definitely worth a look if in the market for one

After thorough research, I decided on the 5 Black because of the voice control and waterproof housing. And I'm pleased to confirm, both work great! I do wish the battery life was better, but I've purchased a couple extra so it's not SO bad.

I was lucky enough to upgrade my wife from the GoPro Hero3 Silver. The photos are amazing and the touch screen is such a great upgrade. So many different modes makes the possibilities endless and her beach photos have never looked so good.

Love the Hero5 Black, initial setup is easy. Firmware upgrades couldn't be easier. I have had no issues with the camera. Far superior compared to my Hero3 Black, just wish I didn't need different batteries and chargers for the two cameras.

If you already know the previous version, so you already know its qualities. The best improvements in this version to me are that now the camera itself is waterproof. It does not need a case anymore. It records in 4K and some app features.

Easy enough to use, my 4 year old mastered it at GreatWolf Lodge.

I purchased this camera to replace my original Hero. Love the ease of use. I video taped our schools tercentenary graduation exercise and both the video and sound were excellent

The GoPro 5 black is awesome. The pictures and videos are great.

All the slight negatives I've had with previous GoPro camera's have been fixed with this camera. I love this camera. From the touchscreen that operates more like a cell phone, to the easier menus to navigate (after a little practice). It's also easy to connect to the iPhone app to see real time camera or playback footage. Lastly, the basic camera housing is good enough and doesn't need another housing to protect from water. Great Great camera, thanks GoPro and Best Buy.

After years of wanting a GO-PRO i received one for christmas!, it's awesome.. great picture, video, i really like the voice command option. i have taken it out and put it through its paces working well... looking forward to the Summer..

This camera has proven to be everything that I expected it to be. The set up and ease of use is perfect! I really like the voice commands and the touch-screen. Battery life is pretty good and the gopro support ecosystem is super helpful!

I purchased this trip prior to a family vacation to a national park and this camera did not disappoint. We hiked a good bit through areas rugged and sometimes wet and had no problems at all with this camera. It is worth noting there is a bit of a learning curve with respect to using this camera. I would recommend if you are going to purchase it for an event or trip, allow yourself some time to get used to how to change the lens, attach the various items and actually shoot some pics with it. It does take a bit of getting used to. The photos are fabulous. While I did initially subscribe to the Go Pro website, I quickly dropped that subscription as it was not adding anything of value to my experience and at a cost of $5 per month was essentially a waste for me. Of course, YEMV.
