I bought camera for a pre construction video. After mounting on side by side and driving thru woods for hours there is no jumping ....wish there was a zoom in while recording, all in all great product great service

I had the Hero 4 and enjoyed it a lot. When I saw the new model didn't need the waterproof housing I was ready to upgrade. The Hero 5 is easier to learn and I love I can just head to the water without the hassle of the extra housing.

I use mine attached to a motorcycle helmet. I bought it mostly for hands free video while riding. The videos are pretty sharp.

It's everything you want an action camera to be. Great video quality, endless mounting options and a great touch screen to access all the features necessary! The only thing I would wish for on this camera is a better microphone.

So I haven't actually used this a lot yet but my first impressions are this is a solid, well thought out, product with all the good features of previous models in one package. The one touch controls as well as the LCD screen, matte finish for less dropping-ness features truly make this the best GoPro ever. The one drawback is if you put it in your pocket you can inadvertently take footage. Also there are now two ways to turn it on, one on the side and the shutter button. Also you can change modes if you touch the side button and not even know it. The lens is so fish eye, that the sensor was picking up my fingers at the periphery of the footage. But you learn how to avoid it. There are on screen prompts and controls are somewhat intuitive. Great camera. Wish the stock was too.

small and amazing! Yes its the most expensive gopro but convenience and quality is what you are paying. dont get hero 5 session this is the best of all! also buu dynex accessories to maximize the enjoyment of this product.

Great purchase. GoPro is an industry leader and it clearly shows. First action camera purchase and I was very satisfied. Easy to use and user friendly. Glad I went with Black instead of Session as the touchscreen is very useful.

We use this camera at home and all our trips. Great way to be hands free and keep up with all the action. It is compact and easy to use. Be sure to get some accessories like the handle that floats and headband!

Fantastic for recording live video. I have owned two previous go pros. The video quality with the five Black is fantastic. Much easier to use. Instant on allows you to capture that certain action which was previously missed.

I have had a GoPro Hero since 2014 and it has worked flawlessly so I decided to get a newer version and GoPro did not disappoint! I love the new features, lots of new functions but still remains user friendly!

I got this as a gift for my birthday. I had the original GoPro Hero without a screen. I loved using this camera on all of our family adventures. The Hero 5 has some great features. The voice activation is pretty cool. You can set it up in hard to reach areas and tell it to start and stop recording. Also, using the screen on the back is great to get the shot lined up how you want it. I know a lot of people that have the Hero 4 say it isn't worth upgrading, but if you have any other model GoPro then this is definitely a better option. Very excited to now have two cameras to use on our adventures. Photo taken on a hunting trip.
