For the premium price, you get what you need, a good action camera, and this Hero5 brings new cool features, image is almost same as Hero4 Black. I had several GoPro along the way, and one thing that everyone should pay attention is to SD cards, they can bring u a bad experience, seriously, just chose the ones GoPro recommends. I have better cards (and faster ones) than GoPro recommended and I only had trouble. This time, buying at BestBuy, they even gave me a free card, probably I'll spend more time here than Amazon. Thanks BestBuy!

I have used the 3 and 4 black go pros and this camera is great. I really enjoy the voice controls and the fact that it's already water proof.

This is my first real camera, since I used to always use my phone, and just disposables before that. I like the fact that it's so durable and waterproof. Timelapses are fun to set up and just leave the camera to do the work. I like being able to mount the camera anywhere, like on a kayak or tree, car or dog. Despite buying it, I actually hate taking pictures, but I like having them. Voice commands are a big plus. Mine didn't come with a memory card, but I bought the one recommended--a Sandisk. Big mistake, since it only worked 25% of the time for a trip that I took right after purchasing. Store rep determined it was a Sandisk production problem, and I fgot a Samsung card which works fine. Still learning how to use the camera but I've loved it so far. Just wish it wasn't so expensive.

The camera is outstanding quality and easy to use. This camera is mainly used for surfing and videos of grand daughter who is 18 months old.

I would definitely recommend this product. It is very easy to use anywhere and the videos are of really good quality.

This little camera is awesome. Very clear pictures and videos. Use primarily to record my sons ball games. Only con is battery life is short

I originally bought the GoPro Session and upgraded to this camera. The camera is amazing. The linear FOV option allows me to use it for our vlog and still take it out for action videos. I use this camera at least 3 to 4 times per week. Great battery life! Just make sure you buy a good quality SD card. I received a free 32 GB SanDisk Extreme Plus UHS card with my purchase and I paid for an additional one. It was more than worth.

Bought this for my son who is an avid outdoorsman. Takes it everywhere on all of his adventures. Fishing, hunting, jet skiing, rafting and anything else he can record.

Only reason I gave this 4 stars is for there being no zoom. I wasn't aware of this, but that doesn't keep it from being an amazing camera that captures amazing footage. I would highly recommend it if you can spare the cash.

I bought this at Best Buy because I've been having good luck with their service lately. The camera has some cool new features that I like, such as the open case that it comes with and is still waterproof, the electronic stabilization that works well, and the voice control. The video quality is excellent. However, it has had some flaky issues with the way it behaves when plugged into power. I upgraded the firmware at the suggestion of GoPro Support but that made no difference. GoPro Support was so slow with their troubleshooting process in determining that it does indeed have a problem that Best Buy will no longer accept a return.

very powerful, very versatile. the touch screen makes it very easy to navigate the different settings. It's small, easy to carry. i love it

The camera is great, but the battery life is laughable. Not sure what to do about that other than having a spare, but it's crazy they can't make it last longer. That said, as far as adventure cameras go, this is the best.
