Great camera, waterproof with no cover! Better than prevous models. Will always buy a gopro!

We use the cameras for our business, keeping records for quality control purposes. They are perfect for retaining excellent photography while in heavy industrial environments.

I really like the hero5 for the built in display, voice control, app connectivity, and ease of use. Makes filming bike and motorcycle rides much easier. The only problem I've had with it so far is that you can't use a Bluetooth mic with it. You can buy an adapter for $50, but it's nearly the size of the camera which makes mounting it to my chesty or handlebars difficult. If gopro would update the software so you could connect via bluetoooth without the adapter that would make the camera perfect.

Excellent action-oriented video camera. Still limited to only 30fps on 4K video, but that's fine if you want your videos to look more cinematic. Much improved over the Hero 4 series, so definitely worth the investment. The drawback is that the audio still is pretty bad, even with the addition of a 3rd mic. So unless you are close to the camera, consider recording sound on another device and sync the audio to video in post-production.

It's very easy to use and the quality of video is impressive.

Go pro black is versatile and provides great details in pictures. The only drawback is the battery life. We purchased additional battery and we haven't struggled too much.

A short note on performance as stills camera and for good audio... I took this to a social event as a 'dry run'. It does fine with action videos but won't substitute for a camera, even a smart phone camera for stills. Sound track on video is not great and photos take a LONG time between shutter release and capture. My primary use case for photos thru the Hero are where I can't/won't take a DLSR or smart phone so that's all good.

Previously had the Hero 3. The difference is unreal. Clear, crisp images. Bonus that it's waterproof!

Best purchase for my trip to Hawaii!!! I now have all of our memories crystal clear for my husband and I to look at forever!!

Great quality for action video - poor utility in anything else. Got a 128GB memory card, but didn't need it as the battery doesn't last long enough to fill it.

My truck came with the GoPro mount so I figured I'd give it a shot. It's fun if you are an active off roader or x-sport type. I'm planning on taking it with us on our Disney vacation to record the kids on rides. Easy to use and set up. By an extra battery or five. You can get the off brand so you aren't paying out the nose for the GoPro brand batteries and charger. The worst thing about this GoPro is the price. If it's your first, get a cheaper one to see if you really like it before you drop over $400.

I love this go pro. It’s great for outdoor photography. It does dim the color a bit but for cloudy days it looks really cool

I bought this camera for my boyfriend who uses it primarily for snowboarding. It is super easy to use with the touch screen and the picture and video quality is very good!

First time user friendly , perfect to take on the go and the video is amazing!! especially in 4K !!
