Definitely love this product. I spent this much to get the LCD screen and water resistant feature. However my first time dipping about 1 foot into the pool I started noticing glitching and battery issues. The screen would blank out and I had to restart the camera to get it running. Takes amazing photos and videos. Battery dies pretty fast. Very easy to use for beginning videors.

The picture quality is amazing! I love that you can use it under water without a bulky case. It's very easy to use. This is my first gopro. I used it on my trip to the Grand Canyon and it was great being able to use the voice commands.

If you’re new to GoPro this is the one to have, or if you’re looking to upgrade this is definitely the one to have. It being water resistant and having a touchscreen are great features. The screen makes it easy to use on the fly when wanting to choose settings. It’s a great design and I love the feel of the camera, a must have for all action enthusiasts!

I have owned GoPro's from the 3 and then the 4's both black and silver. This is the combination of both gopro hero 4 black and silver and they added more features. The battery is not the best but you can always buy a spare. I love the voice control feature, works like magic. The audio is so much better with the new additional microphones plus it is not inside a protective waterproof case anymore so it really is way way better than the 4's. The settings is much easier now because of the touch screen. I just love my gopro I bring it everywhere I go.

I've had this GoPro for almost a full year now. In the beginning, I had a hard time learning how to upload videos onto my computer- that was my only problem. It takes great videos and the hands-off controls make it easy to film while I'm fishing.

I've used camcorders and DLSR cameras and this little device pretty much conquers the process of capturing footage on the fly. Mount this doohickey on a stick and you can maneuver shots and recordings quickly and from tricky angles. It is voice activated so you can even operate it hands-free. Sound quality is excellent and the settings are easy to use. This is an expensive device but it is worth it and you'll have fun figuring out new uses for it. Beware: in my opinion, any accessory or complementary device to the Hero 5 should have better than 3 hr battery life and be able to charge the Hero 5. I say this because the prices are very steep and you need to get the most from the accessories. Research before buying accessories!

The GoPRO 5 hits the mark. its portable, takes great photos and videos and best of all is water proof. The only issue i have is the charging port cover is difficult to open and doesn't look like its seats perfectly when closed. it had me worried but made the proper seal like it was supposed to so no problem. The Hero 6 was available but the sales associate couldn't tell what the differences were, so i just saved the cost difference and got the 5.

I bought this for my Hawaii trip, it worked out perfectly, it's water-resistant, small, light, easy to use, only con is the battery won't last long, about less than a day.

Higher quality for both still pictures and video is what the new HERO Series GoPro is all about. Highly recommended for easy and difficult tasks. Compact enough to fit it in a small backpack, or fanny pack. Worth investing: high-capacity memory (anyhing above 64Gb). Great prodcut!

This thing rocks, it will withstand pretty much whatever you throw at it, bring it everywhere, just make sure you pick up some batteries because this puppy loves to eat them but she is great for those 4k shots from the drone or even down low, best thing I've bought all year

Have had a hero 4 for a year and looking for a "B" camera for my videos. Overall great camera more rugged than hero 4's, water proof - easy transition from water to land, very similar to hero 4 black, 4K, voice command, electronic stabilization - good feature to have when you don't want to carry a gimbal around, touch screen - frame your shots no need for phone app saving on battery life, most of all raw photos ability to take quality pictures in a small package. Was going to buy the hero 4 silver instead to save money but these features do make a difference when you want to pack the least amount of equipment for the best quality.

It compliments my expensive point and shoot camera very nicely. Its fairly easy to setup and use. Keeps everything simple for everyone. It has a nice rubberized case and having an LCD screen in the back is a nice addition to the previous versions. It's so small that you can easily carry it in your pocket. Primarily designed for action photography it excels in that role. As a stand alone still camera its ok and takes ok shots. I haven't played with some of the advanced settings yet but I'm sure I can make it perform even better. Overall a nice little package for the money that comes with some great support from GoPro.

I always was skeptical about having a GoPro, but this camera is another thing. Compact, I can carry with me all the time. The image quality is at another level. I use this camera more, than I use my Canon DSLR.

This is my first Go Pro. It is super easy to use but then not so easy (at first) to do anything with. There is some powerful software that allows you to create professional looking videos but it takes some practice to fully utilize it. Watching YouTube videos helped me a lot. The camera is super small and has amazing quality. I just wish I had more adventure in my life so I'd have more to record.

I've wanted the GP for quite some time now. I've coveted my ski and snorkels friend's. Finally a machine that is more user friendly and waterproof! It was easy to setup and link to my phone using the app, but I'm still learning what buttons do what and why (even after a month). Seems like i somehow manage to always press the button that takes 9 million photos rather than take a video. I'm certain it's all user error but it takes a little more getting used to than I was expecting. Overall great quality pics and video- I like how you can choose how wide you want your screen. And I have proof--it really is waterproof!

I use this as a drive cam, along with the suction cup and flex arm. Nice and small in the windshield, great video. In order to provide constant power for the camera, I routed a 10' cable through the dash along the headliner and down at the rearview mirror. I had a guy wire in a USB socket behind behind the dash to connect the cable. The one issue, in order to use the camera while it is in the mount cage, I had to modify the area of the cage where the slide door on the camera is located in order to plug the power cable into the camera. The battery alone has lasted right around an hour, maybe just a tick longer

I had a GoPro Hero 3 for many years. Last November I lost the camera while on vacation. The good part of it is that I got the GoPro 5. As I expected, the quality is unbeatable. The touch screen is a big win. I use the camera to record my kids soccer games. The best use of the Gopro 5 is the videos in 4K. I am able to zoom to 1080 when I edit the videos and that is a big plus! I don't use the wifi capabilities and app. I did try it when I bought the camera though. It is much easier to setup than prior models. The app works fine, there is still a lag though. Overall, the best camera around!

Bought this item for my honeymoon and absolutely loved it. Love the fact it can be used underwater with no case and is voice activated. Only downfall is the battery life. Only expect about 2 hours of battery shooting 1080p video with pictures in between.

Of all of the attributes that I was searching for, a zoom was assumed. My fault, but maybe someone reading this will also care. That said, the Hero5 is otherwise awesome. The videos are stabilized and stunning in HD. It has multiple accessories for any activity. It also captures audio remarkably well. The battery life is rather short, so buy multiple and buy the dual charger.
