Bought this as a gift for the hubby so he can record his races at the drag strip. No more patchy phone videos.

This was my first go pro, I purchased it for a trip to Cancun. It was awesome took great pictures and the video is amazing. The video is so clear you can even take screen shot of frames and use them as pics. The mobile app it uses is fantastic as well as the fact you can connect through Bluetooth. Great purchase

The hero five is a big improvement over the old GoPro bottles, the fact that you don’t need to use the housing to be waterproof is excellent, greatly improves the sound quality of your videos. The touchscreen is a nice feature as well, a little less confusing is trying to use the buttons to navigate the menus.

This is the first go pro camera I have own, so I can't compare it to the others. What I can tell you is that it works as advertised. The video's are awesome. I bought for a motorcycle trip thru The Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway. It worked flawlessly. I still have a lot to learn, but I'm looking forward to it.

It did everything expected.Easier to use. Cheaper than hero 4. Wish it use previous batteries instead of the new one. Easier to understand and use the different functions. I haven't tried the cloud but probably will with all the videos using. I been using the 128 gb sd card and no problems with losing videos or errors.

I've never been disappointed with the GoPro line of action cameras and this one has been my favorite so far. (The Hero 6 has since been released.) I love the fact that it is waterproof and needs no external housing, making it very easy to use in many situations. I'd say the only negative to this camera is it's performance in low light situations. Other than that I would highly recommend this camera if you don't decide to buy the latest version.

This GoPro is being used in a Universith Laboratory setting and is interfaced with EMG diagnostic sensors for research in infant motor control development. It exceeds re expectations, although initial set up for our utilization in having a computer realize that is indeed plugged in was difficult. Once we got beyond that. There are no problems thus far. Aside for the intended use, the camera is of very good quality and does as advertised. Highly recommend !

This is my first GoPro. I have an Garmin VIrb but always want a GoPro. I was in Best Buy and watch the demo video show all the resources and I've decided to try. Awesome!!! I made a video on next day after purchase and I was surprised with quality. My tip: Use an SDCard higher than 16GB. The 4K video requires one.

This is by far the best action camera you can buy. This camera has a ton of features to help even the most novice user take great videos/pictures. The camera does come with a basic housing to mount to other accessories. One draw back is you have to purchase an adapter if you want to hook up an external microphone.

It's very easy to use comes with plenty of accessories and records in multiple formats and very easy to transfer files with the necessary apps. I would go with this on over the other versions because of the extra features they are definitely worth it on top of having a screen to know what you are recording

I bought my GoPro in preparation for a trip to Maui. I have really enjoyed using it before and on my trip. I've recorded a racquetball match. I time lapsed a sunset as well as a bike ride down Haleakala. All in all, it's a blast to have. The software isn't as intuitive as I had hoped but it's adequate.

Very clear and panoramic views from this little camera. Image stabilization and preference settings are definite pluses. Still finding out about all the benefits that this video camera can provide which is plenty. Wish that the battery life could be longer, though. Still, loving this latest and greatest GoPro!!

I love that the Hero 5 has a viewer to see what you are recording. It is so easy to upload to social media.

We recored a 10 mile hike to Mcaffee knob in Roanoke, VA and the camera was absolutely awesome. We love it

Bought this for filming exercise and trailer video for my company. Super easy to use, great quality 4k video.

I went in to a Best Buy earlier this week in order to get something to have recording all the time for my drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. The kids at the store decided that a GoPro would be best for my purposes when I came in for a dash cam with a wide angle. What they didn't tell me was how the 128GB MicroSD card they sold me would record for 8 hours, but the battery would only last two (at the most). The case/mount that the GoPro comes with is supposed to keep it protected if it should go underwater, so it won't let you unhook the cover for the power adapter (USB C). So I can't even have this recording all the time. I will be returning this and the mount and moving along to a real dash cam with a charging wiring harness. That said, it's a decent camera if you only want to use it for two hours at a time. It doesn't come with instructions explaining what the buttons do or how they work. Once you figure it out, though, the video quality is good.

We use this in conjunction film with medical sensors studying infant movement at a major University. The camera is attached to the computer and EMG . For all regular intent, it is very good quality and has exceeded our expectations.

battery drains very quickly, video quality is great , built is ok

but smaller than I expected and a not super easy to take advantage of its MANY options/capabilities.

Picked this up for filming a trip to Hawaii where we would be doing some surfing, scuba diving, etc. like previous GoPros it works how it should with minimal headache if you need a tough camera in a small package. The touchscreen is easy to use but a little finicky. Definitely more intuitive than having to connect via the app or click with a couple buttons to adjust settings. 4k with stabilization would’ve been really impressive.
