So I bought a go pro for myself this Christmas and I was hesitant to open it since I was unsure of keeping it, but I'm very happy I kept it because this camera is great! Its features are really easy to learn and use and there are many different settings to choose from. Highly recommend for anyone!

I have not used this much yet, but as a user of the Hero 2 and 3, this camera has excellent upgrades. The body is now fully waterproof, now just needing a framework housing case for protection, and it has a video screen built in the back so you can finally see what you are recording and capturing.

Finally the camera is waterproof without the housing. This allows for much clearer audio while using it around water without the worry of it being ruined. The touchscreen is responsive and very clear. All around awesome action camera!

This is my first time buying a GoPro. I was hesitant at first but I am happy now that I bought it.

Purchase this camera to take to Cancun for my Vacation. I was able to use it for a few days till water got in it and damaged it. Water got in through the front screen next to the camera lens. Contacted GoPro for a replacement and they said water damage was not covered. I told them that i didnt go deeper than 3 feet, all compartment doors were properly closed. Eventually they accepted the return and send me a replacement. I dont recommend this camera without a waterproof case even though its a waterproof camera.

This was my first GoPro purchase so can't compare it to previous versions but the footage quality is great and it's easy to use. Even my little niece uses it without any problems. It's a fun little device to capture memories and gives such a unique perspective to seemingly ordinary activities.

We bought the GoPro Hero5 Black and so far have not been disappointed. We still have not used it in a water environment but are confident that it will hold up to it's reputation. We love the size of this camera! There are a good choice of settings for video. Very happy with our purchase!

i recently bought this item and had a wonderful time with it .it did exactly what I asked it to . Its very light and durable. I wish I can afford two. its much better than the hero 4 I think because of the quality and sound . im looking forward to using it again this winter for snowboarding

I took this with me on my Alaska trip and used the Night Lapse photo for the aurora borealis and the result was really good. I like that the unit itself is now waterproof so its not as bulky since i dont need to use a separate casing. Overall I am really impressed. https://youtu.be/SDl1yPa5TWE

Look there is a lot of action cams out thereabout this one is the cream of the crop. you always hear almost as good as a go pro or could be the gopher killer. but they are not. this is what they do and good at it. and yes I had the session and the other brands and I am right back to this one.

Got the hero 5 to replace an aging hero 3 and the difference in quality, battery life and features is remarkable. I really like the fact that the touch screen is now integrated instead of a separate add on. Only real downside is most of the accessories don’t work with the newer camera.

This is my first action camera purchase and I'm very satisfied with my decision to purchase the 5. It's very easy to setup and you'll start taking pictures and videos in no time. I do suggest getting an extra battery if you're looking to take long videos in its high quality definition mode.

But had to downgrade to the Hero 4 black since the five will not work with the 3DR SOLO gimble.

Not really sure about this camera yet. No instructions were in the packaging except for how to install the battery (pretty much a no-brainer)..So still figuring it out,I have took a good many pictures and it’s pretty much trial and error not sure if it’s worth the price tag attached to it.Went snorkeling in the Caribbean and used the video feature there which drains the battery incredibly fast. BestBuy seems to have these on sale every now and then. Great way to purchase at a good price.

Camera is beast. All I've had is the very 1st go pro that you couldn't take out of the protective case, but that also kled the audio, this is much better. Picture quality and durability are all up to par. Works great

replaced an older model. This one is smaller, lighter, easier to use. very happy with it.

I bought this camera for my trip to Jamaica and boy did it meet my expectations! I was able to take it underwater while I scuba dived, and it's water proof without the case! I was able to capture every moment of my trip and didn't have to worry about it getting destroyed! Love it !!

This has been my workhorse for a while now and it's never let me down, yes audio is crappy but you're getting a waterproof camera straight out of the box without the need for a case! Two years and a lot of drops and hits later it still looks and works great.
