This camera is excellent. We have used it in the ocean not to mention on land. We have mounted on helmets or used the chest strap. This thing does it all. I like its compactness and portability. Small enough to fit into your pocket. The images are outstanding.

I upgraded from an older version, and it is perfect in every way. 4K video is definitely a space hog sommake sure you have a large microSD and/or extras. I've taken this on several trips in several different climates and have had zero issues. I love this thing!!!

I always was on the fence of getting a GoPro but Best Buy had a $100 of the GoPro along with a free memory card so I decided to buy it & im glad I did, it takes really cool photos along with some great videos. Can't wait to take this device on more trips

I like that it is water proof now. And the touch screen makes for easier use.

We really liked having it on our recent vacation! However the user guide is quite long. It would be nice to have a quick reference guide for some of the basics. We noticed it's very sensitive to movement or jiggling that I didn't notice on any of the YouTube videos I saw when researching them. We loved that it is waterproof without any additional equipment need!

Love the camera but when i went to buy it the had the one with remote and w/o the remote at the same price told the guy to go ahead and grab it with the remote and he didnt was very disappointed when i got home. But the camera it self is good

I've been using Gopro hero4 silver for 3.5years and the LCD screen broke.. Got this one instead of 6 since I don't see too much of a difference between 5 and 6 except the price. I'm not a professional videographer so 5 is good enough for me!

We just bought this and my kids are absolutely obessed with it. We still need to buy some accessories though. I suggest watching some YouTube videos on how they are used in different environments.

I have two Hero5 Black cameras, and am very happy with both. They are well-built, and seem more solid than my old Hero4 Silver, Too bad about the large microphone adapter, but I use an external recorder (Tascam DR-22WL) and lavalier mic (Rode Lav Mic).I use the cameras for motovlogging (helmet mounted & motorcycle mounted) and they work great, with super nice video quality.

Great purchase and the clarity is unbelievable! Makes me want to get a 4K tv now so that I can watch my videos! I would suggest using manual settings to get the best quality shot. We cannot wait to use this on more of our excursions in the coming months.

The Hero Black 5 is the best out there for sure. The back display is the main reason I upgraded from the hero 3+. The automatic image stabilization is amazing, even on rough bumpy trails. The image and video quality is great. Definitely recommend this product!

The go pro was a gift for my mom, who is not always the most tech savvy. She said actually recording was super easy, and she liked the functionality. She has not, however, been able to get the camera to talk to her computer. We will see if that is a functionality problem or a simple setup fix; either way, if you are getting the camera for ease of use, that may be something to consider.

I'm sure I'm just stating the obvious, but it's a great camera for taking with you places you wouldn't take your more expensive gear. It's waterproof. With no housing. It's rugged. It shoots in 4k. It's small and portable. Just a great camera for the money.

My kids loved walking around with the GoPro Hero 5 black. The video was clear and excellent quality. I bought this during a Best Buy promotion so the price was around $300. GoPro still makes the best cameras though I found the editing software out of date and clumsy. You must convert your video into an AVI file first so that takes time. You shouldn't have to convert at all.

I had a gopro hero 3+ black that I bought in South Africa in 2013 and for the last 3 years it served me. Gopro made so much progress with the new camera that now I wouldn't want to use the 3 again. Best buy also gave me a free SD with it so it's a great plus

My husband love this camara i buy it after he lost his hero4 but this one is much better and the hero4. The price for this new one was cheaper than the hero4 and i can said we like more this one. Work great. Takes nice pictures. It super cool camara.

The feature that I most like of the Hero 5 is for the video mode. Now that it does not required or need the case, the videos are more clean without the noise of the wind interacting with the case and if you are talking your voice will be nice and clear.
