Price has come down a lot and it is worth the money. Compared to the Hero 6 I believe it performs better in low light and a better true to color quality aspect. If you are looking for higher FPS and stabilizing go with the Hero 6 and correct what you lose in editing. If you don’t do a lot of editing or just want take a pictures or videos and share it, Hero 5 is the better option in my opinion. Battery life is about the same and you will need extra if you plan on shooting a lot of footage for vacations trips, weddings and etc... Overall versus other options you really can’t loose when buying a GoPro Hero.

This camera is incredible. I've been a GoPro user since the first edition and this one surpasses all of them. WiFi connectivity is virtually flawless and video quality is awesome.

Love the camera but wish battery life was better especially when recording 4k. Needed 3 more for my use recording 1080p. Hoping for more options in external, attachable LED lighting.

Great camera, only thing I do not like about it is the weight. A lot heavier than I expected.

had a lot of trouble getting started with it the manual it wasn't very clear, do not like how the on and off buttons are, very confusing Still having trouble trying to import my pictures videos are high quality, color is amazing, however I would like to see them on my computer

This product is very good. I would not give it a 5 star purely because of the max focal point. The 12MP lens however is surprising clear! Excellent sports camera, and cannot wait to see how it performs under water. Super easy set up, easy downloads to me network, overall great product.

I had the original and decided to upgrade. Wow! This latest model is greatly improved. I do home movies for friends and family all the time and add my own music. Super easy to use.

I loved my GoPro 4 black, and I love the 5 even more !!!! Better battery life, love the touch screen and the fact that I don't need the water proof case anymore !!!! Awesome upgrade!

Excellent camera. The gopro hero 5 black take very good videos and fotos.

This is everything you can imagine in a video camera and much more. Picture quality is unbelievable. I highly recommend this camera to anyone wanting to video their action adventures.

It is a 4K Camera, good quality, operation is not very difficult, but uploading the video to Mac is not easy, you will need to compress the file in different format with additional software!

I wanted a camera to record my road bike rides so after reading reviews I chose the Hero 5 Black. I mounted it directly to my handlebars and took rides on streets and paved trails. While the surfaces were relatively smooth, there were rough patches but with the stability control on, the video was smooth. I encountered none of the sound issues I had read about and this may be to a firmware upgrade or better designed case. I also have no battery issues and after charging my battery 2 weeks ago I got the flu and didn’t use it. When I checked it this morning it was still at 90%. I recommend this and am happy with it so far.

I am a complete fan of the GoPro. I am a Florida snowboarder and love memorializing my trip with GoPro footage. We even used it at our recent Wedding - priceless!

This small screen is wonderful I thought it would be pointless and you wouldn't be able to see much but you can see everything and the quality on your laptop is even more amazing

Great product and I love the quality. Best go pro to date. Just make sure you get a memory card that can handle 4k and also make sure your laptop or computer can handle 4k playback.

was looking for an upgrade to the hero 3+ so i decided to go big with the hero 5 black and I was not disapointed. love this camera and i use it on my karma drone. works flawlessly.

This one is waaay better than the last one! Quality is unreal clear! Bought it right before I went to Tahiti and it was so worth it!!! We got amazing pictures! Love Love Love it!!

It's an excellent camera. I especially like the waterproof feature without using any external housing. This is my first GoPro camera, so I'm still getting used to the controls.

Took this on my trip to israel , Takes great great videos and phots may not be as great as say my sony dslr , but not too bad for an action camera , love the app!

I really like it ! It works for everything. Has an amazing quality and very pretty. I'd like it to understand more when I give it a command by talking but other than that it's fine !
