GoPro pretty much still owns the adventure cam market. They are going to have to innovate or die. The competition has much better pricing and form factors. As soon as their marketing catches up GoPro will become a bit player in this market.

This camera is great but do research on which memory cards work best. I bought 2 neither would record more than 10 seconds on the camera. I could only take photos. very unfortunate because the camera is so expensive.

This camera is very very hot as in temperature wise. Recording 10min makes the camera hot, more than warm. Charging the camera makes it abnormally hot. The camera freezes a lot and unable to record several times.

So if your out for the day no way to change the battery. When it's dead you have to remove the unit and charge it for about two hours.... no fun

1. I can fully charge it, power it completely off, go to use it in the morning and the battery is 100% completely dead. 2. It freezes NON-STOP. 3. Get's way too hot for comfort. 4. Randomly turns off during recording (not using voice commands) and I lose MOST of my adventure recording. 5. Now I'm stuck with this defective product because I'm one month past the return policy. There goes $300 down the drain...

Had upgraded from the Hero Session 4 to the 5. Had it for a week and ended up getting extremely hot from charging. Exchanged it for a second one and can't complain now!

Won't power on after one use and left charging for 3 hours. Just quit while I was filming and not power on... Had it sitting for 5 months waiting to use it for fishing and now this... pathetic ~_~. Hoping I can exchange it because this is unacceptable on so many levels and if I have to deal with sending it in to gopro, ect... never again will I shop Best Buy or Gopro.

Good camera, good picture quality and stabilization quality. Also like the choice ISO as in film cameras. My gripe is the connectability issues. It is very difficult to connect it to my slart phone. It requests a new device connection each time and i end up with 27 gopro connections in my bluetooth file. Bluetooth should not be this difficult to connect. It also rquire hifi for the "handshake" connection. Im not very impressed with these difficulties.

Great videos. Camera had to be reset every time I wanted still shots. Returned item for different product.
