I purchased this for our Honeymoon and I’m not a tech savvy person. Can I tell you how easy this GoPro was to use and so high quality. If your debating just buy it!!! I did months of researching before buying and there’s nothing else like this on the market!!

Video is so clear! Fps are doubled in comparison to the gopro 5. Recording at night is also very clear compared to any other action cam I've ever owned. Has voice command, digital stabilization, and can record while being charged.

I film outdoor adventure and extreme sports videos. Mostly mountain biking. I own a Hero 4, Hero 5, and now the 6. I use the Hero 4 with a 3 axis gimbal stabilizer mounted to a Stuntman Chest mount and get awesome stabilized POV video of trails all around the United States and internationally as well. The Hero 5 has much better video quality than the Hero 4, but because of some significant design flaws regarding audio it can't be used with my gimbal as it focuses on the gimbal motor noise and proceeds to amplify the noise until it renders the audio of the film useless. The Hero 5 has electronic image stabilization, but it's not good enough to use the camera without the aid of a gimbal. The Hero 6 is an improvement of an exponential magnitude vs the Hero 5. I have used this camera several times while on a mountain bike adventure in Australia and am blown away by the smoothness and stability of the footage produced without the use of a gimbal. It's so good I don't bother to use the gimbal with it. That's one less piece of equipment to worry about, one less set of batteries to carry back ups for etc. What makes it even better - the video quality is incredible. 4k 60 FPS - which WILL eat a lot of memory and will tax you computer to edit and render, but it's available and is beautiful at reproducing scenic travel shots and panoramas. I love this GoPro and couldn't be happier with my purchase. This is the camera GoPro should've released when they made the 5. Maybe their stock wouldn't have tanked if they had. If you want the best action camera and don't need 360/vr footage. The GoPro Hero 6 is the best action camera for the money.

I have a Hero 3 Black GoPro and loved it. I felt it was time to get another one that has upgraded features . . . 4k, water resistant without adding a housing, built in LED screen, etc. I am not disappointed. I love this thing already. I take it with me everywhere like I did with the 3. I've shot all over and it takes great footage. Seamless offloading onto my iMac and easy edits. I am disappointed that they did away with GoPro Studio since I feel it is far superior and has much more useful tools than Quick. I got a gimbal for it too and it really steps up my game. I totally recommend this upgrade from a 3 or earlier or as a first timer to GoPro.

Camera is I must awesome, captures great footage, battery life is a problem but removable makes it easy to pop another one right in, I also purchased this with the battery charger so I have 3 batteries on at all times. The only thing I have a problem with is the software it comes with, so I have resort to using Adobe, Customer service was no help, my computer is more then capable of supporting, AMD Ryzen 1800x, 16gb ram, Geforce 1080 but the software does not recognize the 4K footage HVEC, but it plays back fine in adobe. Customer service did not help at all, referring to go pro customer service not best buy, they told me I installed the 32bit version of the software which makes no sesne, then where is the 64 bit version if thats the only one available to download, upon installation there is no option to change to 64 or 32. But the little camera itself is tough and works great.

Upgraded from the 4. Definitely a major approvement on features however it’s buggy for a released product. Had a couple of instances of freezing and had to do a battery pull. GoPro are releasing timely firmware. I think most are fixed from 1st day release line battery drain. Hopefully all will run smoothly soon. Same thing happened with the 5 and took a couple of months before all ran smoothly.

I purchased this camera to record my running activities and for family vacations. I've taken several videos during training and the pictures came up better than I expected. The stabilization feature works really well.

GoPro hits another home run with the Hero 6. So easy to learn and use, with accessories available for every situation. Get compliments on every shot and every video - whether you tell them it was all the camera is your choice. If you film video a lot, a gimbal really helps

The specs on this camera are amazing. The videos are exactly what you would expect from 4k at 60fps. There are quirks to the camera where it constantly turns itself on and drains the battery. A quick search will tell you more about the problem. GoPro hasn't fixed it and it's been an issue since the 5. Otherwise great camera.

Great for a all around camera for recording with many top end features for a reasonable price. The compact size makes it easy to take anywhere and the durability is great.

The go pro hero6 is a lot better than go pro hero3 that I have before. It has a touch screen in the back and easy to maneuver. I would recommend this product

Color is incredible, quality and durability gives great confidence to take on any adventure with you, and it's waterproof features are amazing! The touch screen even works exceptionally well under water

Quality is A-1. Battery on full charge provides one hour of recording time. Picture quality is great. The touch screen is very responsive and image stabilization does an acceptable job. Worked great in the pool, on the beach and in the ocean. Takes a while to charge the batteries. Recommend buying a couple extra batteries to keep on hand for longer days of recording.

I purchased two of the GoPro Hero 6 one for my five year old son and one for myself. We both love the build quality they definitely take a tumble, dunking in mud and being dropped, it’s holding up excellently with the abuse that a five year old gives it. The videos come out surprisingly well with children or adults thanks to the awesome image stabilization GoPro added this year. Audio has not been a issue and works very good. Still working on setting up my IPad Pro 10.5 for video editing. I would recommend the GoPro Hero 6 to anyone and any age group

I bought this before a trip to Spain and I couldn't be happier. The pictures and videos look amazing. It's really easy to use and very intuitive.

There really isn’t all that much of an improvement over a hero 5. Great videos are made from a hero 4 still. But those facts don’t take away from the fact that this camera is still awesome. It’s expensive but it’s a product review not a price review. It does the job.

I was glad to purchase the GoPro 6 and could tell right away the image quality and stabilization make it a great travel video camera.

I've owned many of the previous models of GoPros and this is by far the best yet. It takes the usual and very vivid photos and video but hands down the best new feature is the built in image stabilization. I use my camera for lots of action and motorsports. While it has always taken good media, it has always bothered me how shaky it was or how visible vibrations were. This camera does a great job of smoothing out the shaking and vibrations to produce a much more clear video than any of the previous models.

Takes phenomenal videos and is user friendly! My son uses it while racing (dirt bikes) and syncs everything right to his phone!
