stabikization is amazing and the 4k 60fps make slow motion amazing

I used this unit last weekend, It is head and shoulders about my Hero 4 Black....The video stabilization is amazing...Used it in my Jeep on 4X4 trail....No vibrations in the video...Video is very clear and has great depth perception, something my Gopro 4 could never do.

Purchased this item for my husband to record his adventures when riding his atv. I've seen him bypass our video recorder and pick up his Hero 6 on many family occasions (birthdays and grandchildren milestones) and was pleased with the quality of video he has captured.

Pros: 1) 4K + 2) Waterproof 3) Compact Size 4) Voice Controls (ON/OFF/etc.) Cons: 1) Short battery life (obviously, higher resolution --> lower battery life) 2) Slightly inconvenient to remove from case

Bought this as a gift for my significant other. He absolutely loves his new GoPro. I also purchased the advanced kit that includes a chest strap, vehicle mounting holder, selfie stick, etc. and he never leaves home without it. The technology and quality of picture gets better with every model they make. Very happy with this purchase.

This is a fantastic upgrade from the version 5. Although I have not used it to its full potential yet I am pleased with what I have done so far, being somewhat new to this type of video taking. Price was right for the holidays. As others have claimed the higher quality video does take up memory but this is a given on any platform.

If you want good quality images and a good quality product then buy this. I've waited for image stabilization and it's here and WOW this camera does it so well not only that, the picture quality is really good.

This is my first GoPro and I find it pretty easy to use and it meets my needs. I was, however, very disappointed that it doesn't support HDR video, as many professional reviewers claimed (it does support HDR photos). I also find it a little awkward that, unlike a traditional video camera, you can't really hold it and press the record button with one hand.

I had an interesting experience; unique after all the years going back to the FIRST version Hero. The first H6 had a VERY, VERY tight battery compartment; so much so, that I KNOW the battery would get stuck and the tab would tear. The Voice Commands weren't working correctly, so I reset the firmware. The upgrade with Quik Desktop wasn't working correctly, even though the app was fine. This turned out to be that Quik needed to be upgraded (note: it DOESN'T upgrade automatically on the older versions!). SO, I RETURNED IT. 2nd H6: brought home and DOA!! What? Hey, at least the battery compartment wasn't quite as bad. RETURNED. 3rd H6: all is fine. Updated through the app, upgraded Quik Desktop and it's also reading the firmware correctly now. Battery compartment is fine; very snug, but all the batteries can be pulled out carefully. The new H6 is AMAZINGLY fast with downloads to the iPhone; thankfully, since before, it was basically a joke at how long it would take for even the SMALLEST video to transfer. The 4K settings, and higher frame rate are awesome. I'm still concerned about the reports of poor image stabilization and dropouts, but I haven't had any problems with this yet.

The pictures and videos look absolutely amazing. The wifi sometimes goes out but o that's the only bad thing I have to say about it. Fairly easy to use. Also works great in water!

I was previously using a couple of GoPro Hero 3+ Black cameras and knew that there were some nice updates with the release of the 5 and now the 6. This is an absolute must for upgrading your equipment and the quality of your videos!

I got this as an early Christmas present for my husband for our recent cruise and it was the best thing I could have done! The pictures and videos underwater were so clear and everything worked perfectly. Picture/resolution quality is outstanding. We mainly used this while snorkeling underwater.

Love this camera for not only videos but pictures too. The wide angle lense really lets you get up close and take cool shots. The night mode is really nice too I️ also like the fact you don’t need a case for it to be waterproof

I can't emphasize enough the improvement of the image stabilization in the Hero6 over the Hero5. The Hero6 really does not even require the Karma stick for my use any longer, which helps with audio quality. Vast improvement!

This camera is feature rich for the price. The pictures/video are stellar. The effects are beautiful. It's easy to operate and the image stabilization is the best!

Gopro has done a great job making a camera that can shoot in any environment. The video quality is beautiful. Sound quality is not as good but atleast an option. Shooting settings are superb. Can adjust everything like a dslr, even if it is a pain swiping through all the screens. What I dislike about this camera is the body. I find the ports really difficult to access. Must use a tool to open. The On/off button I struggle with. Takes a long time turning on and off. Often trying to turn off I end up cycling through shooting modes instead of powering down. Back-up batteries and sd cards are a nececity. Get ready to spend another fortune on all the accessories.... overall it's a nice camera. Coming from dslr background I am a bit disappointed with the body quality, but the camera elements are nice so that's what matters. Gopro is almost perfect.

I lost my precious GoPro 5 so decided to upgrade to the 6. It takes great video, especially when you place with the customized settings. Not worth the upgrade from 5 if you have it ( I lost mine) but definitely consider this over the 5. Looks great on my 4K Dell monitor.
