GoPro hit it out of the park with this one. Take the time to learn about the camera, editing, and mounts to unlock its full potential. I had a Hero 3 Black and Hero 4 Black. The Hero6 is at a different level.

There's so many action cams out there now... I owned the Sony previously and was hesitant to pay the premium for the GoPro brand. The Hero 6+ Black is a well made product and mostly worth the premium. I say mostly because there are some clear ways to improve. First, the voice command stuff is not very easy to use -- I turned off the feature because it was frustrating. The touch screen is pretty good, but can be a pain if you touch the screen in the wrong area and have to back out of the menus. The zoom feature is extremely limited and not very useful for me. Overall, the ecosystem of accessories and good quality apps is really what you're buying into when you pay the premium for the GoPro action cams. For that reason, I'm pretty happy with my purchase, but I wish I had spent at least $100 less.

The new chip makes a huge difference with colors. The in camera stabilization makes the video almost gimbal like right out of the camera. The cost is the only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5.

I upgraded from hero 5 to hero 6 and I love the quality of my videos. I recently went on a trip and used it all the time. Not only are photos a better quality but the videos and the sound were great.

I PURCHASED THIS CAMERA TO TAKE ON MY FAMILY VACATION. ITS A GREAT CAMERA BECAUSE ITS COMPACT AND THE PLACES YOU CAN PUT IT ARE ENDLESS. I ALSO LOVE IT BECASUE YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT GETTING WET OR DIRTY YOU CAN TAKE IT ON ALL YOUR ACTIVITIES.

Enjoy windsurfing without getting wet. I can see closeups of windsurfing, surfers can see their form, friends can see the fun they’re having. The camera zooms in and out, has voice control, takes gorgeous photos, and everyone wants to borrow it.

You can do so much with this camera. It has a lot of really cool features and is capable of so much more than I even realized when I bought it. But beware of the new HEVC H.265 (High Efficiency Video Coding) that this camera uses when shooting in certain resolutions such as 4K as well as a few others! Though this new HEVC coding is better for retaining the high quality of the footage when it is written to the SD card, since this coding is new only new computers are up to date with this change so check if you have a computer that is HEVC compatible or you will have a serious difficulty using the footage shot in the formats that use this coding. I just went on a trip across the globe to Peru to see Machu Picchu and got some amazing 4K footage only to get home from the trip and find out I can’t even view it because my computer isn’t compatible. If you have a brand new computer then you shouldn’t have a problem. My computer is still running windows 7 and since Gopro’s editing software doesn’t support anything prior to windows 10 anymore, it’s an absolute nightmare trying to convert it into usable footage. I’m probably going to have to buy a new computer before I can use this footage in a video montage the way I want to. The little warning message which shows up when you select a resolution/frame rate that uses HEVC is not something to be taken lightly! I really wish someone would’ve really explained this to me before I bought this camera. Really do your homework and make sure you understand the features and limitations of this camera before you buy.

I have been using GoPro since the very first camera came out, and I still have the original!!!! this is by far the best product, easy to use, unbelievable performance, always flawless.

This version of the GoPro is a great upgrade to the GoPro line. Love that it has an integrated view screen and that it’s waterproof. I love it!

I love the low lighting & waterproof features - it’s exactly the kind of action cam I was looking for for getting footage of my friends & family at my favorite concerts & festivals!

This is the best. Crazy high quality resolutions. Just be aware that you'll need lots of horsepower in your computers and other devices to edit and play the highest resolution video.

Couldn't be happier with the new GoPro. Great video and photo quality and image stabilization is really good. Voice control doesn't work all the time but overall it's nice to have.

I owned an earlier version of the GoPro a couple of years ago. This one has much improved features and resolution. I'll be using it mostly to document activities aboard my boat.

I love the GoPro Hero 6! I shoot a lot of video and a lot of it is action. This makes it so much easier to capture it and in great quality.

I have had virtually every version of GoPro since they came out and the Hero 6 is by far my favorite one yet. Yes it cost more but it was worth the extra $ . I do have a GoPro Karma as well that I have been using with my hero 5 and now the Hero 6 I have noticed that the GPS works better, meaning i don’t have to calibrate it as often and it finds GPS with less interfearance messages. All in all I am very happy with my hero 6 and for the great service I receive at the 78th and Dodge location in omaha, everyone there is very helpful , if you are looking at buying a GoPro get it from Best Buy and get the hero 6 you will not regret it.

This is a nice upgrade from the GoPro3 I've had for a while. The user interface is simple to use and the phone app connects easily, I like the water resistant feature as well.

Big difference from the gopro4. Improve in quality, performance, and stabilization. Like that it goes under water without a case.

Enjoying the camera. Really good video. Makes me want to upgrade my playback devices to 4K. You are going to need to buy accessories and they are pricey but most GoPro brand stuff is good quality. Still learning all the things this camera can do (both filming and editing). I'm not disappointed but my wallet is thinner.

I’ve been holding off buying a GoPro but with a big annual family reunion coming up, I needed something better than my IPhone X to record key family events. I spent at least 20 hours reading reviews of the various GoPro products before pulling the trigger on this a few days ago. What a great decision - easy to use and I have found the quality outstanding. A recommendation is to go watch one of the GoPro “how to” videos on YouYube as you open the box and set up the camera the first time.

If you're a motovlogger like me, this is a definite must. The EIS makes your footage buttery smooth like my grandmas home made chocolate fudge, but less diabetic.
